Fixed it...  Had to copy the config file in the Roaming folder as well.

Yeah it opens but never connects/syncs. I guess it has to do with the coming updated wallet?

Tried it on another PC, same error...

I tried to install the wallet and it threw an exception. Now I can open the wallet but cant get a connection. I created the correct config file. Win 7 32-bit. Any help?

So how exactly does POS work?

Lets say I hold 1% of the total NOBL currently mined (~14,000,000)
Lets say I have had that 1% for 2 weeks

If I am on the network with my wallet @14m coins, what are the chances that I will get the next 5,000 NOBL block (or 2,500 since we are halving at the fork)?

Do we still expect a < 2 week period before switching over to POS?

Also, how will current wallets transfer? Will we just keep the same amount in our wallets? Is the 15b to 5b total coin limit being imposed in this fork as well?

So is there a separate thread for discussion on what fork we should take? I haven't seen anything really since Rofo posted his update. Is the change happening in ~2 weeks? If so, has the team already picked out the specifics?

This is great stuff. I want to reiterate that I think our founder has integrity and nobility that is unmatched in the crypto-world and is surely destined for nothing less than success and a great future.

As far as the change that is coming. What is the general consensus as far as the dev team? What are the best, narrowed down options? I do not quite understand what capped or multi-algo means.

I would suggest X11 or PoS. Or a combination (if that is what multi-algo means). Preferably X11 out of those 2 so that mining can still take place and we can still have the lowly ones like myself able to mine coins.

I kind of agree with this. It would seem that we would either need to hold out until 300 MH/s ASICs are commonplace like GPUs or we need to go POS/X11. I like POS after 6 months much better than a few days. I like X11 because it currently keeps the power in the hands of GPUs.

I understand that X11 or any other algo will have ASICs eventually but think about it, LTC was able to go years without ASICs and build a huge network and merchants and value etc... So they are more than ready for the scrypt ASIC revolution. Maybe timing has a lot more to do with it then we want to admit?

I have neither the skill nor the motivation to revive this coin. We had someone who was going to try it for us but the ones holding the keys to this coin said no and now I believe that chance has passed by.

of the 15.6m coins currently in circulation I hold 1.1m. I'm not sure of anyone else. One 200 KH/s rig is currently mining this coin because the community and dev left it.

So what has happened? ASICs have flooded our network? This would not be a 51% attack since it is on our blockchain correct? So that means that price should be following suit no?

Is the blockchain still broken? Poolerino is still not paying out anything. Should we continue to mine?

So Noblecoin has basically free money everyday for the next two weeks... The marketplace is a 14% discount right now if you use Noblecoin and it goes up 1% everyday until it reaches %30. So you can buy your Amazon, Steam and NewEgg gift cards at bigger and bigger discounts...

Is there a decent mining pool? I tried Poolerino but I keep getting my account locked for no reason or "token expired" everytime I try to do anything... Any pool with a decent amount of hash out there?

I think this is good news because as the crypto-currency markets change and evolve over time we have to be willing to move with it. It's not comfortable thinking about having more than 1 coin or having POS coins or new algorithms here and there, but the fact is that we have to stay current (without changing weekly) and on the cutting edge of technology as well as what the majority of people and shareholders want.

I think Noble's future gets longer and brighter every day!

Wow that is great! Congrats! I wish I could have gotten them that low. I will settle for 35 sat. It is still ridiculously cheap and going to make a lot of money very soon
