Thanks for the BOL @ralle14, I was thinking about Europa last night but changed my mind, should have stuck with it, I just felt uncertain about penalty stats, and I don't even know the teams but man, I should have gone in. Odds were 1.20 for many games.

But I went into my 'safe' territory of France today, Toulose Lyon, and I feel like Lyon is in less pressure to give away penalty.

Anyway it looks like you hit a nice special on West Ham, what an absolute trashing of Freiburg!!

262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Last 16 on: March 15, 2024, 05:27:55 AM
Sporting Lisbon is now playing against Atalanta... Before the game, bookmakers gave Sporting odds of 2.0... But after the first half the score is 1:1 and Atalanta plays better than Sporting... I hope that the second half will be no less interesting...

One of the random teams in this season is Atalanta, lately. Quite good overall, playing badly in a game and turning a different side in another, Sporting was the favorite and somehow this is the result.

kudos to Leverkusen, they are not playing 90 minutes, they play till last moment
pouring goals in extra time, while Qarabag playing solid during the match

expected a lot better from Sparta, 11 goals in 2 matches against Liverpool halved with injuries is really slow
it should not come as surprise that Liverpool is big favorite to win this, while Leverkusen and Milan are waiting for their mistake, can we see some surprise here eventually

And still unbeaten in the end, but amazing how Qarabag twice made them really pour blood into the effort!!

Now Leverkusen also have 2 more games to play to win the German cup, and they may face a bottom team 2 leagues below them who has already knocked out Bayern Munchen and Monchengladbach. If they make it Invincible they will be beyond the achievements of Arsenal. 10+ games to go!

Did I say about my new yolo market (penalties awarded).

I started from $207. All in on penalties awarded.

This was my fourth one. Such a scary bet, you will always pray there are no penalties when the defending team is fighting relegation, are up 3 goals, and trying their best not to let the opposing team score. Bournemouth still managed to win by scoring 4 goals in second half!!

And I saved my bet. Now I need to all-in 2 more times to get double. But I'm wondering, is it time to stop or go degen lol

If you are old enough, then you might also remember that Freebitco.in had ads space on their website and it was very cheap to place your ad on their website automatically after depositing some bitcoins. Then they removed the possibility of buying their ad space and put google adsense ads on their website, then they finally removed ads and changed their strategy. Those were very good old times when Bitcoin was still a new thing and many companies were trying to create a business that was exclusively using Bitcoin.

Btw there will always be a market for faucet but market is shrinking and in terms of quantity of coins, it's getting hard to give away something.

Never knew that Smiley I was only entering Bitcoin space in 2017, maybe end of 2016 I started exploring but only about half year before the 2017 bullrun I really started doing things like getting a wallet properly and taking care. Good old days, or bad old days? Personally I'm happy sites like FBC changed their strat. Its rewarding for players like me, no need to see ads, just clean and fast.

Faucet shrinking? Naaah altcoins love it. They call it differently now. "Mining" lol.
265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading software with correct non-time charts on: March 14, 2024, 09:53:31 AM
Sorry it took a while to respond, but anyway, my trader friend says he's still not really sure why your issue is problematic. The session resets, he thinks, could be coincidental, an issue with bots/algo close resets.

And yes, I have no idea why a bunch of independent software developers can not fix this problem for a long time, this is strange. Guess they have more important tasks on some modern and fancy analysis stuff.

You probably answered yourself Wink

But here is one solution he suggests which is to go on Discord for Exo charts server, and tag Veran + luckshury in Bug Report channel. Veran is the creator and developer of Exo Smiley So if he doesn't know how to do it no one will.

What a terrible round, 0 points and only 6 questions left. @cryptofrka luckily you only beat me in 1 point, so we are almost equally shit. I have Alcaraz and you have Sinner, so I'm praying for Leheka to beat your man later today Wink

90% of us got fooled by either Inter being so good, or by Atletico being so bad.

Weird round, most of us are in red, but 2 guys already won their rounds early @jeremypwr @Renato297

there are reasons why "open" and "pseudonymous" are used instead of "permissionless" and "anonymous"

In this case, you have a point, and maybe because English is not my natural language, it just seems to me that permissionless means you don't need approval, but in this case, if access can be barred, I guess you can't say permission.

I like the idea of open but open areas in public anyway also have rules right? So maybe open is correct. But for sure anyone who ever said anonymous is dumb. I think too many people using too many flashy words.
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you bitcoin holders sell if we have a major price spike? on: March 13, 2024, 11:49:23 AM
It kinda means I'm not selling this cycle almost for sure, because my target is $300,000. You're very lucky you have 2 Bitcoins... I'm settling for a total value of around 150k dollars, as it's comfortable for me in my local area to buy a house and the land, very very small, but mine to own.
We all turn into greedy when we are already seeing some price spike happening in the market. That’s why first and foremost, it’s still best to set your target selling price first where you are comfortable of selling and stick to it no matter what will happen to bitcoin. Otherwise, you’ll end up being confused when to sell most especially when the market is highly optimistic until you realize you have done nothing but keep on waiting for another price rise, until you realize you have missed an opportunity to sell at a profitable price due to greed.

Yeah, I totally understand it too. I can say now my target is #300k because that is my price now and I would not hesitate to sell everything and semi-retire (I can't afford to retire but this would pay all my debts to zero and get rid of need to pay rent).

But once price reaches $300k for real, I don't know if I can get greedy. Depends when I guess. If it's next year, I might get tempted to wait one more cycle Smiley

Hey OP you're getting so lazy, the matches ended 12 hours ago and you didn't update the table. Watch out, we're paying attention to what you're doing with mafia.

I'm in love with my club again. Viva La Masia!

I cant believe Arsenal allowed to get into extra time with Porto, and I would not be surprised if we go to penalties after this.
Barcelona looked much better than Napoli today, but I think they will have a lot more problems in next round.
Now it all depends on quarter-finals draw that is scheduled for March 15.

If you want to group semis and the finals, that's actually easy to do. You'll have outright odds for the winner and that can be used - covers it all.
Then again, buway bu-oost extra sounds way more fun than picking outrights.
Dont teach him your dirty math.
He is one of the last honest pool managers in this forum and you are trying to corrupt him.

It's very sad this forum is just going to the drain, all the evilness flowing around and polluting the most honest people.

it has always been 0.2 cents per freeroll.
- Maybe you want to complete your reasoning taking into account the effect of rounding when BTC price grows.

No, I leave that to the freeroll and faucet collectors, my reasoning is not about the value in dollars, but about what they know those satoshis are worth. I don't think the freeroll will ever go down below 1 satoshi anyway so at some point, people will be earning more than 2 cents. If it hits zero, well, then good riddance Smiley

<...>
So yeah trust me there is always gonna be market for faucet, people will spend days and days to get... a few dollars  Roll Eyes

You make a fair point - earning crypto from faucets does require some commitment.  I too recall the early internet days of screeching dial-up connections, spammy banner ads, and glacially slow site loading times.

While internet speeds have certainly improved, human nature remains much the same.  There will always be those among us motivated to grind for every possible dollar, bitcoin or otherwise.  The patience to wring profit from faucets may seem trivial to some, but for others, it represents a different approach to earning income, one that might fit their circumstances or skillset.

It used to actually be profitable in the very early days. You could run a program to show you ads above your browser and earn $1 a day. $30 a month, doing nothing. It's the time consumption I never understand. People feel like if they spent 8 hours a day clicking and what not they can bring home $30, which yes it's even more money in a month in some countries if they work, but if you spend those 8 hours actually doing something useful for yourself. Read free books in library and teach yourself skills, for example. You could get a good education and get out of your misery.

Or, do 4 hours to earn the money you need and spend the rest improving, get a better job, earn more.

But most people don't see it that way.

Look at altcoin bounty hunters section, my god lol

Hey man, I saw you didn't use VAR. Obviously this was a joke Grin
Why didn't you take it?

We have a lot of different answers so it might not be important, but if I was you I wouldn't hesitate for a second here.

EDIT: you sent to Trofo, sorry about that. Changed Smiley

No no, don't be sorry, you did your best to trick me but I went to your other half and sent my VAR Tongue

It's crazy to 'waste' this VAR so early but I think overall better to send answers first and regret later. Just hope no need for it later on as season goes on. You now ahead because Lewandowski couldn't score more than 1, I'm so mad but anyway we qualified so that's all. We haven't gone this far since Messi left, no reason to be sad Smiley

Nice thanks for posting the schedule, now I can see when I can meet Igebotz in Round 9, famous guy, and former brother bottler of division 1 lol

Darnm it! Finally getting my flowers. I might as well get the famous club award at the end of the season. Keep your 1mBTC brother. It's going to be scary but not for me.

Lol see you in 7 rounds. Hopefully it's not gonna be relegation fight, but twin promotion Tongue
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK regulators drive demands to BTC due to ETNs on: March 13, 2024, 05:35:56 AM
its not a permissionless currency

I think it still counts. I hate to use terms like decentralized and permissionless, none of these words were even in the discussions of early Bitcoin I believe.

But consensus is different from permission.

Permission means needing approval to use. Anyone can use Bitcoin, they just need to follow the rules.

Permission means before you can even go on the network, someone needs to allow you access.

Congrats to leea-1334 for winning the Round 28 Yellow Cap

Congrats leea!

This guy is one of the stealth participants. He won last season, doing well in BSFL every season, and I see he is popping up quietly in Serie A. Same like Mahdirakib in Champions League pool, Omifikuse in PL pool, jeremypwr in this pool 25 POINTS gap!!

Tonight is Barca, guys! Our only hope of redemption this bad season Smiley 5am game for me so I guess I'm not sleeping!

I don't think they are. I KNOW they are.
<>
But trust me, there are so many people spending hours on faucets, trading, etc.

I dont usually quote in entirety but in this case I have to underline its all correct.    Theres plenty people sitting round with time to claim on this faucet and every other faucet there might be plus enter every internet contest they possibly can.   Some people do all this, very often its during another job which has alot of wait times attached to it.

I dont have the same job now but even before Bitcoin existed I was collecting tickets on faucets, back then it was driven by advertising of some kind or another.   The amount of pop up adverts and aggravation of wading through spam just to register for a free lotto of some kind you wouldnt believe.  The internet now is alot nicer to users then it was decades ago, especially on the nice page loading and how rare down time is.

Since the dawn of time, or since the dawn of the internet lol

I'm old so I know all about the PPC sites (pay per click). You click an ad, watch it for 1 minute or 30 seconds or whatever. And get 1 cent lol. I used to run ads on those sites to get people to visit my old company website and was amazed you could get 1000 people per day easy. You need to watch 1000 ads to get min withdrawal of $10.

And after Paypal charge you only get a bit. I never understood that.

Then faucets came, same story.

I guess you are old like me. I remember sites were slow, disconnected, broken images, all just to show tons of banners and clickable popups. But people kept on clicking I guess!!

So yeah trust me there is always gonna be market for faucet, people will spend days and days to get... a few dollars  Roll Eyes
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 12, 2024, 11:02:34 AM
So... I'm confused, now that an event has happened, without me mentioning, should I use a VAR now as everyone who submitted will want to use VAR @Cro2?

I honestly thought I would lose this round, but thanks to the result of Liverpool-City in the end the round was a draw for both of us, good luck in the next round.

Good luck, I think in the end the draw was the smartest result but I had a wrong feeling Liverpool would win, the stats suggested that it was correct but the football luck decided there should be no winner Smiley

Damn Ipswich, Damn City, Damn everyone who failed me, we go again! I visit Mafia... and I just place my picks following heart because research too much and you change answers and BSFL bites!!

Well... When it comes to scoring, it doesn't matter if a ball goes inches or few meters wide from a goal - it doesn't count. It only hurts more when it goes inches from a goal Grin I also had few near misses and lost in the end. And if I was playing against someone else, I would have easily won with four points. That's why there is always a next round to do better Smiley

Yes even if a goal is 1 mm not crossed over the goal it's not a goal. I feel like my draw is deserved. We go again!! BTW Indian Wells? Are you sure? Wink
276  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you bitcoin holders sell if we have a major price spike? on: March 12, 2024, 09:14:11 AM
It doesn't matter what price you're thinking of, just set the price. And if it doesn't hit, then wait for the next bull run.

I know it sounds so simple, but that's literally what I do.

It kinda means I'm not selling this cycle almost for sure, because my target is $300,000. You're very lucky you have 2 Bitcoins... I'm settling for a total value of around 150k dollars, as it's comfortable for me in my local area to buy a house and the land, very very small, but mine to own.

What I noticed in BSFL in the divisions 3 especially a lot of people got very high points for making quite crazy picks. Picks I never make, which definitely makes me think sometimes that research can harm your chances, especially when dealing with teams like Atletico.
I need to start making more crazy predictions, but whenever I attempted to look for surprise result I failed in La Liga  Cry
This was one of the worst weeks for my predictions and I need to change my tactics somehow.
I think I had better results when I made random predictions with thinking anything.

Same here lol. I mean, who the hell can predict 4 zero to Real when playing what was one of the best teams in the league right? Or Cadiz clean sheet versus Atletico? I have to start checking the past results of our current topper, to see how he made his picks, so consistent.

I think it's just luck and that's really true. I feel super frustrated in Superbru pools, somehow I don't feel it so much in Champions League Pot B because there you know you picked the crazy result and didn't win, unlike the pools where you're just doing your best and can't do anything about getting EXACT scores.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2024, 12:05:19 PM
I watched a bit of first half game between Liverpool and City, should have stayed for the second half but you know, work and sleep etc as it seems the second half was 17 shots on goal in total, with 2 post hits.

Hard to see about the Doku penalty, from the still photo, it looks 100% penalty but you know, that's the problem with one frame angle.

Either way, that was the last great match we'll ever see, unless they meet again in FA Cup.

I still think Pep-Mourinho was the greatest rivalry of my lifetime, of course, I say that as Barca fan. Every match every El Clasico was THE match of the season, and it was way tighter than Liverpool City in most seasons BUT as a neutral, watching Klopp's 'average' teams destroy City is a feat no one else came close. City are confident every game, galaticos. But play Liverpool and they are running in terror. More teams should do this. Imagine United, they must wish to have 10% of Liverpool's balls.

Great game for all the Liverpool supporters, I wish you the best next season but nobody can fill Klopp's shoes. I don't wish to be you Smiley

Not the best start, but a point is a point, and Renato has to agree it's probably the fairest result, even though I personally felt I should have won it with more 'close' answers than off the mark.

Damn Ipswich, Damn City, Damn everyone who failed me, we go again! I visit Mafia... and I just place my picks following heart because research too much and you change answers and BSFL bites!!

Do you think that the majority of the people come to freebitco to claim the hourly faucet  Huh Whos is willing to earn 3 sat per hour and 30 sat in 10 hours ? There are some better skills out there which can make you make good money than to earn money through faucets.

I don't think they are. I KNOW they are.

The freeroll price has never changed. Bitcoin value has gone up. 30 satoshi now is 2 cents++. Small to you and me but people have been doing it for a long time, it has always been 0.2 cents per freeroll.

I agree with you, there are better things to do than get faucets in fact I see trading as the same waste of time for majority of people. Better to learn new skills and improve your job.

But trust me, there are so many people spending hours on faucets, trading, etc.
