521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 15, 2024, 12:44:41 PM
AFCON teams are complete opposite, everyone respect every one too much so few goals scored.

Do you expect the same low performance as in the World Cup qualifiers? The most popular score is 1-0, 0-0, 0-1? Tomorrow we need to make a forecast for the poll, and I haven’t decided how to forecast yet  Grin There are many teams of completely different levels in the groups, so I still expect better perfomanc, but in games of teams of equal strength, we should probably make the choice 0-0, not 1-1 if we assume that there will be a draw.

I guess I got it wrong. Over 2.5 average goals per game so far but to be fair, 5 of that happened in first 5 or last 5 minutes so lack of concentration really makes it a weird phenomenon.

Trofo is the biggest smile I would say, he took 2 exact scores, a lot of us totally got stunned by Cape Verde, supposedly one of the weakest teams in Africa according to Igebotz I remember hehe.

Of course we try change picks and opposite will happen Wink
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 15, 2024, 10:54:20 AM
Weird that there's such a break mid round. The next games aren't till the 20th now. Not seen that before, unless these were rescheduled games or something. I'm currently tied 1st for this round though I doubt I'll keep ahold of it given my form this season. I'm pretty much bottom as most of those below me have seemingly given up.

It's just because of cups. They had to reschedule City because of Club World Cup and then now they even have some more replays for FA cup. Personally I think they need to just scrap replays OR make sure lower league team choose venue (to allow them choice of getting big teams visiting or play at big stadium). Also need to play CWC at season end after UCL.

If they follow trajectory it will be like Spain and Italy playing weird cup games in other countries.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 15, 2024, 09:36:24 AM
I cannot ever choose Real so that's my weakness in BSFL, or even any pool, good luck to you. I need 3 points but as long as both play amazing we must see the deserving team to win. Xavi says we must dominate Real lol I wonder if he has been watching our team Tongue
Not that I can't choose Real, but when they play with Barca, I simply can't go against my team. Maybe it will cost me points, but I simply wouldn't feel ok going against team that I support.

Yup, and that has caused me multiple times in multiple ways. Losing bets, losing BSFL, losing pools, etc.

I think Barca in past 5 seasons left me really feeling worse than United fan, despite winning things here and there. The worse thing is not losing all the time but getting false hopes of winning lol. Xavi said sorry but, man he shoulda not said anything prematch.

This is the curse of a fan. Enjoy your dominance Real Madrid.

Damn cryptofrka, Cape Verde saved my ass big time. Turns out that Barca would let me down even bigger time, I sort of felt like this was gonna happen but I listened to my heart. 1 point, I have to be happy here, but I just feel so desperate with fewer points left to play.

Next round up, more waterpolo craziness!
525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF on: January 14, 2024, 02:45:08 PM
Lol at everyone who said ETF was gonna push BTC to the moon. Yes it will at leat in the short term they said.
As for the institutions although I don’t buy the ETF idea they wouldn’t themselves just jump in and buy all the bitcoins they want no, they will definitely have to wait and study around look for more people coming to get the spot and probably wait for a retracement and then buy. This people are not in for a quick 2x they have their Plans mostly for a longer term and then they execute it. One thing I usually say is bitcoin is different from pump and dump coins just go in for a long term and That’s when you will probably be in profits. Short term investors are always the ones panicking.

Now people are coming up with all theories of why the crash happened. I mean, liquidations? And then news like Vanguard deciding not to offer ETF? Come on.

ETFs were supposed to according to everyone bring in longterm investors. But now we see speculators selling off and even small fish like Vanguard denying ETF is to blame?

I always said ETFs were hype. Bitcoin will rise longterm because of utility, not speculation.
526  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: January 14, 2024, 01:29:03 PM
Nice wins Betwrong Smiley I keep getting tempted to bet on big odds since I lose 'small odds' anyway lol
~

Thank you! Exactly that's why I bet on big odds. I've noticed that if I bet with 1.40 odds, my win is not guaranteed anyway, and I can lose several of such bets before winning one. So, maybe it's better to try my luck with 14.00 odds then? Maybe winning one in several bets will be profitable then. I must say I'm not trying to make money from my gambling, it's all for fun, but making a profitable bet is part of the fun, right? And looks like it's working so far. Smiley Only my favourite odds are above 100.00 most of the time.

Right? 2x is a coinflip in my mind, and 5x or higher is more likely to happen with the right amount of info and luck on your side. 15x happens way too many times for us to think it's coinflipping 15 times Smiley

I don't go 100x tho, but I should explore this option Smiley Good luck betting wrong Wink
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: January 14, 2024, 11:22:42 AM
Yeah, that's a great way of making sure things are somewhat stable.

But not everyone has a buddy like that though, unfortunately.

FIND one! I said in my post it shouldn't be someone close. This forum has 100s of gamblers, supposedly. You claim you're one, go make a buddy if addiction is so important or if you want to help offer yourself...

The break here that I catch is to stop playing gambling for a while. not always in front of the computer or in the casino continuously. indeed, rest is very important because in addition to maintaining brain health so as not to always think about gambling, it also maintains mental health.
take a break, for example, 1 day not playing gambling, or if you can't rest for a few hours before returning to the gambling arena. even better as @nullama
Quote
just go for a walk in nature, disconnect from the grid.

But you guys lost the whole point of this thread. If you're addicted, you can't stop yourself. You can't rely or even trust yourself.

Breaks are good, they work. But an addict can't push himself to stop and take a break.

Hence my solution of a buddy system.
528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How diverse is your crypto portfolio? on: January 14, 2024, 10:41:27 AM
Diversification makes more sense when you choose those assets which seem understandable and at least somehow predictable for you. For example, if you pay way more attention to ETH, than BTC, that it is more logical for you to invest in ETH. Even though it is common to be sure that BTC is more perspective. If you follow only one coin, than focus on it and don't spread yourself thin. If you feel the confidence and have enough time to figure out some more currencies, than you can diversify.

Diversification makes sense as an asset class.

Diversifying crypto doesn't make sense at all if you understand that all of crypto follows Bitcoin. People say alts perform better in a bull run but even that's a gamble. To me the risk of an alt dying is too large to hope for that boost in bull run.

Bitcoin is the diversification strategy. Everything else is gambling without understanding.

Looks like China heading for draw not that it affects me and cryptofrka. Same as snooker, no impact on us so we are both really waiting for the final day tomorrow to decide. Praying for low AFCON scores please Smiley I hate to wait for Barca to win but if that's the decider I'll be asleep while it happens. Wish me luck against Mafia everybody!
530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF on: January 13, 2024, 10:19:10 AM
Lol at everyone who said ETF was gonna push BTC to the moon. Yes it will at leat in the short term they said.

What's funny is the fake news pushed it much higher than the actual real news. So you know the hackers are totally the same people manipulating price at exchange.

What's funnier is despite $4B volume on Day 1 trading, price is going all the way to 42k. ETF is for gamblers, not Bitcoin users.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: January 13, 2024, 09:35:38 AM
Buddy system.

I say it in this forum every few times. It's the only thing that works for me, it was due to forex I had this system and it transferred over to gambling.

Have one guy know everything. Your bets your expenses. And ask him to confirm your biggest riskiest bets. It has to be a gambler too, but not someone to close. Just we are buddies over 15 years now, I warn him when he is taking too big risk he does same for me.

Take a break, buddy. It's the most welcome phrase to hear.
532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BETA BSC | TeleSwap on: January 12, 2024, 03:06:13 PM
Man, stay away from Telegram bots seriously, unless it connects to Telegram wallet I would never send funds to a bot. It's risky enough as it is to trust a bot that you can't verify smart contract, you're now creating multiple vulnerability by bot - smart contract - Pancakeswap.

Why wouldn't anyone just connect to 1inch itself? Faster, even cheaper??
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 12, 2024, 02:28:00 PM
Yes, we won by 2 goals - it happened first time since September I head it right from commentator, didn't conceded goal, but that's all. How Barca is playing, it doesn't gives much confidence before the final.

Yes after a winning season of record 1-0 wins now we are looking like 1 goal wins with 2-1 and 3-2 and 4-3 haha. Such a weird Barca to get used to so even winning 2-0 seems impossible now, and we still needed an even rarer goal from Lewandowski.

I got the Real final I wanted so I'm happy to win 1-0 or 5-4 or whatever.

As I chose Real Madrid to win the cup in BSFL I want Real Madrid to win. I hope the old Fenerbahçe player and young wonderkid Arda Güler to play longer in the final match against Barcelona. After our (Turkish) Super Cup match wasn't played I'm happy that there isn't any very big problem broke out in the Spanish Super Cup so far. However I still couldn't accept that teams are selling their souls for money.

I cannot ever choose Real so that's my weakness in BSFL, or even any pool, good luck to you. I need 3 points but as long as both play amazing we must see the deserving team to win. Xavi says we must dominate Real lol I wonder if he has been watching our team Tongue

Not too certain if you are expecting them to look different from race to race with the same characteristics.
They have their genetics passed on down from horse to horse when breeding them. So not sure if you are considering this as those are characteristics not physical but statistically there are advantages passed on down the lineage.
Axie Infinity they were evolving or as most would see it growing your monsters.
Concerning about the provably fair mechanism. Are you certain about that slaman29?
Maybe best to do the research from their own main site.
Here it is: https://zed.run/ and/or contact their live support since they can offer the support you need as this is their game and the site just offers their game to place the bets on.

Nah if we can't find it, Live Support doesn't know.

Crypto and hash provably fair is the very crux of randomness in games. If you race in real life, horses, cars, etc, you know the odds of winning, but you have random outcomes that affect event and results.

If the horses have same characteristics race to race the result must always be the same SO they must use RNG to help decide outcome correct?

Every Provably Fair game like dice or crash allows user to see themself the result was correct and fair.

And about characteristics, a real horse can be developed to improve (and if you don't they deteriorate). So I'm saying NFT haven't figure out a way to do this. You played Pokemon? You don't keep breeding Pokemons, you improve the one you like the most Smiley

Really looking forward on Sunday I picked Barca, my team and the team who has to win something being out of La Liga realistically Smiley

~snip
Its a long way to go but I'm so glad I didn't think about tennis. I got fooled way too many times by seeds to choose even 2 now.
yeah, seeds apart from Djokovic are pruned to get out early, it is tennis these days
not sure why I picked even 2 to pass

Yes, so glad because I always did odds research with outrights etc but always failed to pass. Not even Alcaraz when he was #1 seed lived up and now I think ATP is more risky (lose 2 and out) so if it's best of 3 then I auto mark seeds as fail to final. Semi is trickier for sure depending on draw but I think ATP tennis KOs people out easier than we think.
536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cointelegraph has the worst price analysis articles on: January 11, 2024, 05:18:55 PM
Man, never take any advice for value. Cointelegraph is what I call repeater news. They never make first news they always recycle. That's first point.
Just like the rest been saying that it would really be that always recommended that you should really be that basing into your own analysis rather than on trying out to keep
pushing or make use of those others suggestion on which on the time that it would be making out some opposite results then feeling of regret is really there.

Or accept the fact I keep talking about. You can do analysis, anybody can. It's the easiest thing in the world. Heck even chatgpt provides 'better analysis' than most sites like Cointelegraph but if you really understand trading, then you understand you don't really gain an edge from analysis.

There's a reason why they call TA astrology for men. Like horoscopes, it works for some it doesn't for most.

Have fun and enjoy it for what it is but TA is not crystal ball of profit.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 11, 2024, 04:41:18 PM
Thanks for explanatins on ZED horses. So in the end, they are still practically just plain NFTs with characteristics but they don't really develop or evolve which is a shame after all these years NFT is still so static (I don't know how else to explain).

Actually all the PR on ZED run says provably fair but I couldn't locate anything about provably fair mechanism... maybe I can't find it? It would be also slightly disappointing they don't use blockchain cryptography/hash function to make provably fair results. Which is the whole point of crypto gaming supposedly!!

I know him to be stubborn when it gets to his international duties, but his more focused on Manchester United than Cameroon. Bottom line is, without bias, Manchester United has a good goalkeeper. He's just had a wrong start with Manchester United from the Pre-season.

Agree. I still think Onana is a good keeper. Not great overall but in his form you cannot ignore, and his performance for Cameroon is all that matters. Personally I think his discipline at WC haunts him, and that's partly why he is coming late, I hope he puts on his best tho, or risk being banished by Cameroon.

Interesting point of view. Looking at how Casemiro in just one season (if you take the number of games) turned from the best midfielder in the world (according to Neymar and here I see no reason not to trust Neymar despite the fact that he is an asshole) into someone who is not suitable for United ( looool) i can believe this 100%. United is a merciless graveyard of talent  Grin

Lol yes remember Casemiro scored a lot of goals for United as a defender tho so he did great for points return but honestly he needed a good team around him. United is a mental problem. They act like Galacticos and make statement buys but have a lot of players who need Galactico treatment. Then they face teams who don't fear them, and they all get scared.

AFCON teams are complete opposite, everyone respect every one too much so few goals scored.
