So glad I went for the draw. I know PSV was the favorite but as I mentioned yesterday, Rangers at home are tough to beat and in fact they took the lead twice but still only got one point, so the next leg is when I would bet on PSV.

Nice article Trofo Smiley I was watching our league like you, we need LFC_Bitcoin to deliver leea his first taste of defeat, for selfish reasons that we can catch up for promotion but also I hate to see LFC relegate so you can do it man!
1102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: August 22, 2023, 11:01:46 AM
So why not have some at 25k, some at 23k, some at 20k, some at 17k and so forth? That way I would be buying along the way when it is going down, and wherever it stops, I will not be too late to buy, and already bought some on the way. That will definitely benefit people, I did sort of like that at 30k and 29k, but that doesn't mean that we are going to be right all the time, like me who bought at 29k but it went lower.

Ah but you can just buy again!

So we have a dip now, I sincerely hope that with this the people who were holding out
for "the dip" have actually bought it after waiting and waiting and havent partaken
in DCA.

Like I've been saying this entire thread, I think those posters generally aren't really even doing what they're claiming. Anyone serious enough is already doing DCA. Anyone who said at 30k they were waiting for the dip, I bet you, they're waiting for 20k now. And guess if they'll buy at 20k Wink

The price drop is a perfect opportunity to buy at a lower price.

And have you bought any? No point saying what everyone else knows, especially if you're not buying Smiley
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Prelim Qualifiers on: August 22, 2023, 09:59:35 AM
I put Royal Antwerp on my ticket, and I chose another Belgium team (Union SG) from Europa League tie, so I am banking all of my hope on Belgium. Switching from French teams and Spanish favorites.

PSV Rangers should be the most exciting though, and I think the Scottish team at home are extremely hard to play with!
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 22, 2023, 08:15:39 AM
Arsenal make sure they are keeping up, but relying on penalty for win, and losing their player for red card now looks like they are facing difficult times.

Tables lie of course at such early start of season. City had 1 tough opponent, Chelsea and Liverpool had 1 tough one, Spurs look like the winner for Top 5. New UCL format is Top 5 right?
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: August 22, 2023, 07:01:49 AM
Totally agree about weirdness of top seeds still needing to play qualifying round. But in a way very rewarding for those who actually beat them, but why they play last, that's confusing Smiley

BTW Slissy why you have to say so much now everybody has the same understanding without research Wink Too bad those athletics are almost impossible to find live games to watch unlike Olympics!
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: August 21, 2023, 12:13:00 PM
I will have to stop being pool captain, my results are suffering something awful. I am firmly at the bottom of bot my pools while I am doing OKish in Bundesliga and keeping very good 4th position in Premier League. Hell I am even doing better in F1 pool and I have never in my life watched a race. No other explanation than failure to perform in my own pools Grin

At least I got Barca correct score right so maybe there are bettre days to come in the future.

Barca correct is the minimum most of us can hope for, along with Real Madrid lol

Looks like I jinxed Atletico also with the horrible prediction, I even actually thought there would be many goals.

I can't believe you are at bottom but you have to see in all the pools, the yellow caps are doing weird results, Premier League only is showing to me "correct" tables, so you should be happy there.

F1 is same story for both of us it seems. If only we can extract a lesson from this!!
1107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: August 21, 2023, 11:38:38 AM
Classic error for newbies who think they can time, and then rally comes and they miss the ship Smiley
I think it does make sense to put an order at those levels in order to make sure that you buy it at the dip, but it would be smarter to have some spread across a lot of prices. Like do not have one for very little, I could put an order at 1k if it ever gets there, just in case, doesn't mean it I will get it.

Only serious or enterprise level traders set limit order mostly because you need to lock your capital. Then, most platforms also restrict you on the minimum/maximum level you ca limit at, in my experience only high level verified traders get a good % of current price (all the flash crash events resulted in this.

Newbies and amateur traders who're mainly posting these are too busy short term trading to keep aside limit order capital Wink

I keep saying, prove me wrong Tongue
1108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big surprise in mid-August - Do not panic!!! on: August 21, 2023, 09:42:55 AM
What do you think OP? Have you been guilty of that?
Ohh, it's the opposite that I've understood.

However, that also happens and the same as what you've meant. Anyway, I think that many are guilty of that and even some or many of the forum members as well.

I am also do guilty of that but that was before not until I've planned all of my buying patterns and sequences that usually happens when there's a crash.

Yup, now you got my point. As I said before many times, it's natural behavior for us, when you're invested you want to say good things, but the real challenge is to post and act responsibly.

Nothing positive we say can affect price, but everything careful and objective we say can help newbies not enter the same fomo mistake we all did.

Anyway, price stabilize today but we are still in danger. Remember not to panic when we recover Wink

Crazy rounds, and I don't even know where to start reading and researching about Athletics and snooker, nothing helps tbh lol

I have to say, the basketball question is total 50/50, it's so hard to find that kind of game so kudos to the team for finding something truly coinflip for this round Wink

GL to you Renato297!

I think I've subscribed to all pools last year, except the cricket one. And it has been too much time consuming for me to be honest, so this year I've decided to participate to less pools and to dedicate less time to that. I also mainly bet on ML when I bet, because the hedge is usually bigger on secondary bet options. Sportbooks can hardly display shitty odds on their main pages if they want to attract and to keep customers, so they usually try to be competitive on this kind of bets.

IPL pool is very short and it's much harder there to pick if you don't know about the leagues, which I don't really, so I only took part once. Even betting on cricket I don't do so much, just here and there for IPL.

It's definitely time commitment if you want to do well, I agree. Anyone can put picks in but as you can see from people like me I do badly in most pools because I don't really follow.

Then again, luck factor like F1 I don't really know what I'm doing but so far so good lol

Same as La Liga. I know this league best but my performance? Terrible Sad

If I can gamble on online casinos every now and then why can't I take little risks on altcoins? This is what my mind used to say to me, but after learning my lesson I now take risks with well built altcoins like Cardano and bnb, if Bitcoin creates a new low I believe Bnb can shake up some dollars and go lower, maybe 40$ per Bnb again, then that's when I will take risk on altcoins, but for now BTC is my main conclusion.

It's such a shame that to make life changing money from Bitcoin now requires a higher amount of money, this is why most of us still decide to buy altcoins to get a better boost on our ROI when the bull market arrives.

You can! Just like I do!

But then, you have to start accepting the fact that it is shitcoins, not some new revolutionary creation, and you have to admit that it is gambling.

We are total opposites it seems. I learnt that all my time spent researching and being part of great communities means nothing because my "investment" into altcoins are just gambling. You switched the other way Smiley

Just be careful of expectations. When you gamble you expect to lose so it's ok. But if you invest time and future hopes, shitcoins losing will harm your personal wellbeing.

First freebets of the EPL season and I managed to turn one into winnings. Not bad at all I should say, and luckily I did'nt put too much on my own club Barca as they didn't get 3 points. Odds were too low so I kept my money in my wallet Smiley

boltz, indeed, what a shame it was about Newcastle, they gave a better games last year than last night.
1113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big surprise in mid-August - Do not panic!!! on: August 20, 2023, 08:02:40 AM
I honestly don't know what the fuss is. Bitcoin flash crashes and flash rallies. Normal.

People panic in these moments, but only when it goes down. For some reason, big rally and everyone FOMOs with silly predictions and that's ok, nobody says don't panic, right OP?

And this whole week people said waiting for the dip lol
Sentiments do change depending on the current situation.

But you're right with that, if there have been bull runs then people are going to say that it's going to be down. And the same goes when the market is on high, the opposite is being said.

While we're on the top, people are saying that they will wait until it dips so they can buy more.

And when the dip comes, they don't know what to do and won't buy.

But that's not exactly what I meant by my post. What I meant was now there's a flash crash, everybody generally says: stay calm don't panic.

But if the opposite happens and market flashes up, nobody says: stay calm don't fomo. They get excited and start buying into the fomo, some even saying 1 million is coming.

What do you think OP? Have you been guilty of that?
1114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: August 19, 2023, 01:30:48 PM
At the present level, do you think the bottom have been established? I'm just seeking your opinion and not really financial advise. Personally I feel it has been established but then, the market will do what it wants.

No, I think I made it clear before bottom has to come with a major bad event, which strangely hasn't happened yet. Luna and FTX collapses were bad but very short periods and not "global" enough. We need major disaster first.

Now is the decision whether you would really be buying on this dip or would really be waiting up for more lower price which its not been sure whether it would push through below or we
would be seeing some next in line recovery which its always been a normal situation that we do have in this market because the market cant really be just moving in one path.

All these guys ask pointless questions as if opinions change anyone's mind. Other posts say Elon Musk, so if he Tweets people will follow? Nobody who says they are waiting for right price will buy, it's all empty talk and the real buyers are just happily waiting AND buying.

The Bayern Munich-Werder Bremen match tomorrow will determine the winner of the competition between slaman29 and me. After losing the Super Cup I think Bayern Munich are going to make a strong start to the league. I hope that my prediction about this topic turns out to be correct and I can manage to advance to the quarter finals.

It ended in such a bad way for me. One shot on target from Werder?? If I knew, I would never even have a little hope. From semifinalist to Last 16, I regressed in cup but congratulations cls63!! Now, I hope you pass thru everyone else and win so I can at least say I got defeated to the cup champions Wink

I will enjoy 2 days break before focusing on league again!

I hate Valencia and Villareal. KTChampions got 6 points now, how is that even possible lol

/snip

BTW Bouno just left Sevilla. The movement from Europe to Middle East is really picking up, what a weird transfer year it has been so far.

Today I read that Sevilla might be interesting in signing Dinamo Zagreb's goalie Livaković. There are speculations that he will leave the club before the end of this transfer deadline, but Dinamo wanted to keep him for as long as they can so he can help them qualify for the UCL. It could be a good replacement for Buono.

No idea about the guy but didn't his team already lose to AEK in our BSFL competition? Let in two goals and Sevilla want him lol. But no I'm just kidding, Bouno was good and he did his best so he can retire in peace with Benzema and everyone else in Arabia Smiley

I know I should also be having good nostalgia for those days, although my days were really in 2017, but they were when I was so busy researching and supporting so many projects. Investing my own money and really "following the dream". Crash hurt me so bad though that I almost left, especially because I used so much of my BTC to "diversify" into alts.

Lessons were so learned that year lol.
Some of these old moves still haunt me today, I also focused on some altcoins, I spent money on graphic cards, but I made the mistake of mining altcoins, I could have focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum only, and maybe today I would have become an Ethereum whale at least but instead I started mining shit coins, then I don't even look at those coins like they are shit, who would have thought 🤔 so?

I ended up losing everything because those shitcoins have no value after a few months, some turned to scam, we all have learned the hard way but it's a greater lesson that are worth it, at least we aren't the same person we used to be back then, and brother, that's a big achievement.

I still get temptation every now and then, especially when you see some shitcoins make massive PR campaigns but this time I treat it like a gamble, money I don't expect to get back, while never again sacrificing the precious BTC holdings that take so long to build.

I'll never be rich but I'm never gonna put BTC in losing shitcoins again.

Slow and steady, it's our biggest lesson right?
1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: August 18, 2023, 11:37:42 AM
Nobody thinks this is a great buy opp?
he is waiting for a couple of thousand before considering it dip, but the more she waits is the more she losses a chances.
buy now or buy never.

That will never happen at this stage. Even if it does, he won't have the time to buy it like he thinks he does. Crashes like that are sudden and will be extremely low liquidity. Even if he has a limit order which I doubt he has it won't be filled.

Classic error for newbies who think they can time, and then rally comes and they miss the ship Smiley
1120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: August 18, 2023, 10:27:13 AM
I dont really know what to think and what to say, both of them, because Simeone teams in the past seems to be very solid and finding again his way and ended up being not so solid and not so offensive (im talking about last 3/4 years).

But yes it seems like now they maintain a very good base, and with a little reinforcement they can be a real contender this year, for both national and champions league tournament.

It has to do with the drain his style has on mentality, you need tough players with total buy in, but their main problem is keeping the intensity for whole season. It's very tiring style, and in top leagues, even not recommended. I only think he has a chance this season because Real + Barca are weak.

BTW Bouno just left Sevilla. The movement from Europe to Middle East is really picking up, what a weird transfer year it has been so far.
