Yes there will be a couple coins that are very valuable in a couple years but the vast majority of them will be worthless.

Only coins that do things will be valuable. Coins that you have that are just there to hopefully go up on value so you can profit will be worthless.

Its like the dot com boom. You are betting on websites. Which website is going to get the most visitors. Most died.

The many coins and tokens I have are also worthless, the main factor is the devs. there is no serious plan and action, when the price skyrockets (maybe they pump self) then they immediately sell and when they get the profit according to the target then they prefer to create a new project rather than take care of the previous project.

Crypto trends are always unpredictable, many users are optimistic that bitcoin prices will reach $100k in June, now tthe market has dropped 50% from the highest price, but I'm sure that the market will recover soon, and it won't take long time to rise again.

Crypto invesstment is very volatile, tens of percent increase/decrease can happen daily, every day there is always a new project until now there are more than 10,500 coins and tokens listed on coinmarketcap, if you think long term holding then choose top 10 altcoins like BNB, ETH, XRP, etc.

Of course 5 years is a good time for holding crypto, because crypto prices dropped at the end of 2018 so off and happy because my portfolio rose about 8x, and I will hold again because crypto trends continue to improve.
