1241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin digital gold or digital cash? on: April 24, 2017, 03:28:19 PM
Like most of the people here I too believe that bitcoin was supposed to be both. But at present moment it is more likely be represented as digital gold instead of digital cash. People are using it more as an investment rather than as a cash for doing transactions of everyday life.

I also have same thinking nearly, but it also depends on person to person, for me its like both cash and gold. Because I am using it as investment as well as I use some services which accepts Bitcoin. But ofcourse about everyday casual or physical transactions, that's very limited regarding options I have.
1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: April 24, 2017, 02:30:29 PM
It cannot be quantified but then not risky to invest in Bitcoin for long term. If you plan on buying and holding then Bitcoin is the he right investment but for short term purposes then I'm afraid you might get unlucky and loose some value as small fluctuations do occur every now and then.

Quantifying the risk percentage is quite difficult, but I believe risk is their for all kind of high return investments. The risk for short term is quite high, but about long term at the moment its kind off similar because many countries are still speculating either to accept or ban, so during long term investment, sudden ban can put you in trouble.
1243  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: April 23, 2017, 03:50:15 AM
I don't have any idea how many percentage of people on earth will own bitcoin by 2020 because i can't see how the graph of people who owns bitcoin now in the year of 2017. But i think it's on a 40% of people on will own bitcoin on the year of 2020.

40% is way too much in the year 2020. Currently Its around 1-3% approx., it might grow max of about 8-12% by 2020.
Its really tough to reach such a huge percentage so quickly, because people are backward about new technologies and they fear loss of money other than anything.

1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 22, 2017, 07:19:22 PM
Mumbai are in trouble against Delhi today. They have lost 5 wickets for 94 runs and don't have too many overs left.
Delhi will win easily if Mumbai put up a sub-150 score today.

It looks like Daredevils cannot even reach of the score Mumbai Indians have scored. Delhi Daredevils need 117 off 79 balls. With only 4 wickets remaining, it's near to impossible that Delhi can achieve that Target. Easy win for Mumbai Indians I guess.
Poor batting , they could have started slow and then scored later on after 8-9 overs but they spoiled it all and everything now depends on Chris Morris but I don't think he can save DD . They should have won this match easily and reached top 4.
After today's win Mumbai secure place in top four they are doing very good job in all fields Delhi was very poor in start and its bring them down for match but they still have chance to take place in top four now tomorrow we have two very interesting match KXIP vs Gujarat Lions and KKR vs RCB

Mumbai Indian's place in top four is still not secured, this is IPL, anything can happen. Though as their current form, which if prevails they might win this season. Tomorrow both the games are unpredictable, but I personally wish Punjab and RCB wins.
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: April 22, 2017, 06:22:07 PM
I know there are many big players who manipulate bitcoin price and make huge profits but can we the bitcointalk members also form a cartel and let oo impossible bitcoin price never fall?is it possible that we manipulate price as I am sure most of bitcoin users visit this forum
it's too impossible for the individuals users of bitcoin to manipulate the value price of BTC. Only the big whale investors or big companies had a capacity to manipulate the price of bitcoin.

Obviously the big whale investors have the maximum capacity to manipulate BTC value, but similarly many small individuals taking same action can also make a difference. But usually its either some worldwide economical news or big investors manipulates the valuation of Bitcoin
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: April 22, 2017, 09:24:53 AM
As many others, BTC is a currency, investment and also a technological revolution in the field of economy. It is a great discovery/innovation.
Basically I use it as Investment slightly more than as a currency. But as the field of usage will diversify, it will surely be used much more as a currency.

I'm not really sure if it is a small bug on the mobile version or it is an error with my browser, but I cant request a withdrawal from mobile version. It stucks on loading, but it works fine when I switched to full version. Anyone having issue on withdrawing from mobile version?

How long ago? I tried 1 day ago, it was fine at that time. Made a request without any issues. Why don't you reset/reinstall your browser or try a different one. If its a bug hope it will get fixed ASAP.
1249  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: April 20, 2017, 06:13:01 PM
Everybody is in desperate for money, everyday they are struggling.
I have some assets, I will sell them only if I have emergency and will double my work capacity to earn more.
If the amount is small, borrowing money from friends helps.
1250  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: April 20, 2017, 06:18:03 AM
The mere fact that btc deals with huge amounts of money means that it's impossible to think it won't be prone to corruption. It's everywhere even with small communities. The very definition of corruption applies to bitcoin if you think about it. Hopefully it just doesn't bloe out of proportion that will lead to btc's ruin

Bitcoin itself can be used for a variety of purposes. Someone uses it for good, and someone for illegal activities
It depends on the various personality of every person. If the background of the users is really bad and it has a high chance to be used as an illegal activities. But compared with the fiat currency and fiat still become a leader to be used for the illegal activities especially for the money laundering or corruption.

And there are people who says they won't use bitcoin because it is illegal but if they just think about it and widen that narrow minds of them, the most used currency for illegal activities is USD/fiat . There is something wrong in the question of this thread it should be can bitcoin be used for corruption? not it can lead to . It is impossible that bitcoin can lead to corruption, It's in the person's personality tho bitcoin and other currency can be a tool for it .

Many people is mentioning BTC as illegal not because of their narrow minds, but for fear and half knowledge about it. Many countries have mentioned using it illegal but no rules are their still, and USD/fiat is used more for illegal activities because its a world currency and BTC is yet not been common for the casual peoples. But yes definitely I agree, Bitcoin can not lead to corruption, its the use of Bitcoin which can lead to corruption.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: April 20, 2017, 05:08:34 AM
It's really hard earning Bitcoin this day. Even faucets don't pay pass few satoshis unlike the early times when they dished out bitcoins as giveaways and bounties.

So, count faucets out as a mean of earning bitcoins. Faucets are a total waste of time.

Faucets will never pay you good amount. It's just good for those people that doesn't have something to do but wants to claim some satoshi's. When I was newbie this is the first way of getting bitcoin I knew. At first, I thought it's the best way of getting but in the end I realized that there are even more great ways to get bitcoin.

Same experience, was earning quite less by just claiming against the time I was spending. Every newcomer will come across Faucets, later there knowledge will grow. But if you can get refs, then you can have some decent amount per week/month, even without claiming. But still you will need skills to acquire refs, sometimes even money, so nothing is really free.
1252  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: April 19, 2017, 06:16:23 PM
I think investing in bitcoin is good idea. I have started recently and I'm loving the idea of investing in bitcoins. Gold is far fetched item now and I don't really like that one. Bitcoin is virtual and secure and I'm finding it very promising these days.

Investing in Bitcoins will obviously help you grow your money, but similarly investing all your money can be problematic. Saving might not grow your money, but can help you in sudden need. And investing in all forms of opportunities will be beneficial, either be it gold, bonds, stocks or Bitcoins. It depends on how much profit you want and how much risk can you take.
1253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What u think will happen if Amazon would accept BTC? on: April 18, 2017, 07:00:33 PM
It would definitely a plus point for Shoppers who are indulged with BTC. But it is kind of uncertain and unlikely that Amazon will start selling goods by accepting BTC, because the value is volatile. Moreover, still many country has hanging views against BTC, neither its banned nor legal, so there is a fear of sudden government acts which can create issues with their business.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: April 18, 2017, 04:50:03 PM
I never believe in predictions. Even the weather is hard to predict. The Church has long predicted the end of the world and he can't come. I'll wait for a new prediction just for a laugh.
It's really hard to see the accuracy of every speculation. Just try to following the market that will be more reasonable for us rather than following the prediction.

It will always be just speculation.
We cannot vouch for that and it is just personal opinions of different person.
If I will believe with that it might need deep facts that can back up the speculation.
Or I would rather use my own instinct so that I would not regret it or will not blame anyone.
There are just too many variables in the market to make any prediction where it is going.
Everybody somehow must make his own decisions on how he reacts based on his informations.
After all, that is the only thing an average bitcoin holder can do: react on the market.

Prediction are quite tough to make due to various market factors, but I have encountered some persons who were quite right, but only predicted Rise of Bitcoins. So sometimes it might be beneficial to believe them, but by taking extra care and by not panicking ofcourse.
1255  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: April 17, 2017, 11:43:56 AM
I don't like Paypal , after you receive 1,800usd in your account , it will be limited and you must to provide a photo from real card identity + some other stuff about you , like invoice of power electricity , to confirm your identity and your location .

Really? Maybe it is just for security purposes because your having big amount on transaction and they might get in trouble on that like in banking The bank ask the client what is their source of income so they can estimate on how much money can you produce, so in paypal maybe that is their way too.

It is a security process IMO. In our country whatever Payment we receive, we have to inform them from where I am getting that amount. And if the amount is big, they will ask for proof. I didn't that big amount of $1800 till now at a time, so no experience.
1256  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 17, 2017, 08:06:46 AM
I think it would take the players a long time to collect the rewards points to redeem anything in the Electronics section, unless the player does really deposit a lot of Bitcoins into the site and play the HI-Lo Game on the site, but with the house edge of FreeBitco.in, it doesn't seems to worth the effort to collect the reward points in this way, just my opinion  Smiley

Yes it will take a very long time just to reach a decent amount of points to redeem unless like some have said they play the hi-lo game many times or if they have a large number of referrals claiming every single day. As I just claim free every day and only have a few active referrals it's going to take me a long time before I'll be redeeming any reward points.

After BTC prices went up, you get very fewer coins from the site, but regarding fiat, it may be same. But you need to wait for very long time to reach that withdrawal limit if one is collecting point only from a faucet. I think it is a waste of time to collect this small amount instead find other ways earn a decent amount for the same time you spent online.

The earning per claim has recently gone down quite low, but it increases as well. And moreover though the rates are quite low and time to reach withdrawal limit will take longer if you don't have refs, but it only take 1-2 minutes of your time per hour. But ofcourse its upto the particular individual.
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: April 16, 2017, 05:40:24 PM
Both are good options pick the one that is more compatible with what you want and your capabilities, if you don't have a lot of time investing may be a good idea, but if you have the time to learn trading can be a better option.

Also if you don't have patience then Investing and Holding is not your option. Trading will be a better choice, and also you will be responsible for your profit or loss mostly.

1259  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: April 16, 2017, 09:59:24 AM
All currency are used in Illegal activities whether it is bitcoin or USD or any other form of money because it is used to buy things so that it used for illegal activities such as gambling, buying drugs and other. As long as it is form of money it can be used into Illegal.

I agree, and not only USD and Bitcoins, all the currencies of this World which are in the form of black money specially is being used for illegal activities and corruption is as well increasing.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: April 16, 2017, 04:49:46 AM
If you can afford the risk of loosing it all, surely it better to play. Personally I usually don't play with full of the profit. Now the amount of profit I play with depends on time to time and my requirements and ofcourse my luck Tongue
If my luck is not supporting me, then if I profit, I keep them Smiley
