It takes awhile to ramp-up. Don't worry...
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 13, 2013, 07:58:59 PM
Okay, I downloaded the client, and then run the yacoin-qt -gen

So far I make 0 coins. Is this normal?

How do I know I am actually mining?

Also where is my wallet.dat?

I need to mine 1600 of this to make one bitcoin right?

You have to join some pool, it's too late to mine it solo.

I got a block this morning thru the client running on multiple cores(2 or 3)...

Wasn't the port originally 9332? I was actually solo-mining with that number. When I changed it to 9335 yesterday, I did finally have like 4 connections and got some blocks.

Ah, like trying to manipulate stocks on a trading forum... gotcha...

thanks

Anyone have total bytes or checksums for good versus bad versions of client or minerd?  Seems to be the best way to spread the word on what may be unsafe. I have the 08 & 09 versions in my public dropbox if anyone needs them.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=202168.0

Ok, so it looks like the original two clients are fine. It is potentially only the special versions of cgminer and minerd.

By the way, what the heck does FUD stand for??  lol

I cannot synchronize my wallet because of no connections to Mincoin network Sad
Anybody know some reliable peers IPs?

same issue here - only 1 or 2 connections at most and they drop out

anyone on 24/7 we can use as a seednode?

thanks
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 11, 2013, 05:31:25 PM
Some of these new coin pools are having so many issues, that I almost think solo is better for CHN. I did hit a block overnight ahead of the calculated average.  :-D

Try ours, is steady as a rock Tongue

Thanks. I do think your LTC pool is best all things considered.  :-)

813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets Solve the unreliable 7970 issues.... (share your observations/input) on: May 10, 2013, 12:34:25 AM
So you probably don't want to hear that I instantly got a 5th 7970 running at ~750 right from the start...

Are you guys using two 8-pin connectors? Single 12V rail PS? Powered-risers if you have them? What about
ram? 2 gigs per card minimum...

Thanks for all the info all, I compiled a guide for YaCoin.

Get rid of that local ip address 192.168.whatever - could cause trouble if someone actually has that address at work or home...  there is also a repeat address in there.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 08:17:50 PM
I only had 8 connections when I hit my block so it is possible.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 06:50:14 PM
I just mined 51 at home and sent some from work. Transaction appeared within 2 seconds.  :-D
I think the megaupload one is fine.

With all the crap I get about having multi-core miners, it is paying off now! Laughing all the way to the bank!  :-P

Got a url for a client that works?
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [YAC] How to set up port forwarding for Yacoin on a wifi router on: May 08, 2013, 06:36:06 PM
Was just reading you can get around it with a VPN, but no time to play with it now.
