1101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Confirmed Bad News Sources Thread - No FUD, Just Facts!!!1 on: January 12, 2014, 04:28:14 PM
Here's some terrible English language bad news.  Summary below:

1.  Overstock.com started accepting bitcoin
2.  They did $100,000+ sales in 24hours

The bad news is that despite this, the bitstamp price is below $1000.  This just demonstrates that bitcoin has reached its saturation point.  Even without governments planning large scale attacks on bitcoin, it would likely die this year anyway.

Actually Peter Schiff said exactly that!  That overstock accepting bitcoin as payment is bad news for the price because HODLERS  ( he didnt use that word) will spend their coins and will flood the market... Wink

Peter Schiff texted me the other day to help me understand just how bad the Overstock news is.  Combined the government attacks, it clearly spells the end for bitcoin.

So much nonsense coming from you

If you don't believe my sources, just check the price, which is clearly down on all exchanges from the highs in the $1000s.  Downtrend is confirmed by technical analysis and bad news sources, especially foreign language sources.
1102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 12, 2014, 04:24:26 PM
Look at BTC-e order book someone pushing the price up ? a wall of 1000 BTC @ $850

that a really nice wall, NO ONE SELL INTO IT or i will personally bitch slap you.  Cheesy

Overstock will take it out.

In case anyone questions my authority on these matters, you can check out an endorsement here.

Why would China invest in destroying Bitcoin, when they can (or have) banned it?

Millions of petahashes? LOL have you put that into perspective ?!?!

For one million petahashes you need 40000000000 25 GH/s BFL Miners.
For one million petahashes you need 4347000000 230 GH/s Rack Mount Bitcoin Miners from BFL which don't exist yet.
For one million petahashes you need 1667000000 600 GH/s Mining cards from BFL which don't exist yet.

Or in the range of 999810000000 videocards Smiley

LOL stop with the FUD!

@anyone: Correct me if my calculations are off.

Calculations don't matter when we can check the facts from the confirmed sources.  Just read the link I provided.  It's all there in plain Chinese.

Please use this thread to only post confirmed news from confirmed sources to help everyone understand what is obvious - bitcoin is in a downtrend to oblivion.

My latest find comes, of course, from official sources in China and details how the Chinese government is planning a massive 99% attack on the blockchain.  I'll put the main points below, but anyone can check the facts from the source:

1.  Chinese offials delcare bitcoin a global financial virus
2.  Officials from other nations are in agreement with china China, including the US
3.  The Chinese government has millions of petahashes ready to deploy on the blockchain to destroy the protocol
4.  In addition to attacking the blockchian, China will sell all their mined bitcoins on MtGox

It's obvious bitcoin has gone as far as it can go, but any other thoughts about this devastating news?
1108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 11, 2014, 06:53:04 PM

the plunge is coming, everyone must make the pledge!

Just remember, if you're in the US, everytime you execute orders on a market you restart the clock on long term capital gains eligibility.  That's ok, though, because short term capital gains is only like twice as much.
1109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 11, 2014, 04:32:35 PM
Given all the Chinese language websites on the internet, my guess is this is a bull trap.  Since many of them are about sources that say some things.
1110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com's News on Accepting Bitcoin, Underwhelming Price Boost. on: January 10, 2014, 06:47:13 PM
As the title says, seems like people were expecting some lunar performance, but got some down-to-earth performance.

Do you think that Overstock.com's acceptance was a significant thing for the price of bitcoin? If yes, let us know.

No.  We have already confirmed via sources that bitcoin is pretty much done.  Not everyone knows this yet, but as more people become aware of the facts, the price will fall to $0.  Proof ------> 充分證實和真實
1111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 10, 2014, 06:45:14 PM
looks like huobi is first to break out of the channel to the upside.

Nah, just a wobble on the way down.  Sources have confirmed this.  充分證實和真實
1112  Economy / Speculation / Re: 124000 USD from bitcoins order from Overstock.com on: January 10, 2014, 06:39:14 PM
I just can't get excited about this what with all the Chinese language sources confirming so much bad news.
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alibaba Bans Bitcoin Amid China Crackdown! on: January 10, 2014, 06:37:24 PM
News from China doesn't affect the market price anymore.

Ya huh!  Look, the price was above $1000 a while ago, now it's in the $800s and likely will be falling more as more Chinese text and links are posted to the forum and reddit.
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alibaba Bans Bitcoin Amid China Crackdown! on: January 10, 2014, 06:18:24 PM
I clicked the link to the thread in the Service Discussion area.  I don't know what any of this means, but I did see some Chinese text and something about news and sources, so I just sold everything because I'm in the US and I'm using foreign exchanges and want to make sure I have to pay short term capital gains and possibly be subject to some foreign accounts tax or some such.  Just playing it safe, you know.
1115  Other / Off-topic / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto breaks silence in landmark interview on: January 10, 2014, 12:01:10 AM
Controversial interview on American podcast Lateral Moves. Mr Nakamoto shares early beginnings of bitcoin and his dislike for copycat currency Litecoin.

www.lateralmoves.net

Interesting interview.  Might be a glitch or something, but my online wallet with like 2000BTCs in it is showing a balance of 0 now.  Weird.
1116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com now accepting bitcoins as payment! on: January 09, 2014, 10:10:01 PM
Curious what the refund policy is.. the btc you paid originally or a conversion of what the US to btc exchange rate currently is.

Refund is in USD for the price paid for the item!

Is it me or is this a potential elephant in the room?

No, I think that's a pretty big issue.  At the very least companies will do what Overstock has done and make a disclaimer about bitcoin refunds being in USD.  I think a better option would be to give bitcoin refunds for up to 48 hours or something like that, and after that it would have to be USD.
1117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wired.com: Overstock.com now accepting bitcoin on: January 09, 2014, 10:06:26 PM
Wired.com is reporting that Overstock.com is now accepting bitcoin: http://www.wired.com/business/2014/01/overstock-bitcoin-live/

Too bad this is basically bitcoin's last year, given all the confirmed bad news we have from sources, especially confirmed non-English sources, especially from China, but also other places.  The HODLERS will hopefully give us all time to get out above $10.
1118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Single digits this weekend? on: January 09, 2014, 01:47:45 PM
We will likely go below $10/BTC this weekend because of the bad news and stuff and things.

So you should sell as much as you can as soon as possible.

This is not a ploy to get your cheap coins when I get paid tomorrow. Honest.

Absolutely agree.  I've read those bad news and stuff and things.  It's really bad and it's all been clearly confirmed.  So, there it is folks, confirmed sources have confirmed via sources that sources say bitcoin is done.
1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Downtrend started? on: January 08, 2014, 09:45:57 PM
I suggest passiveaggressiveunironicallyironicpermabullcoin.

But then Sunny King will come out with aggressivecoin which is minted off feelings, making my coin obsolete.

humanitee, do you know how to code?  I do not, and regardless whether you do, we should create a proper crytocurrency that fixes all the problems with bitcoin.

I am actually a "1337 coder", as the kids say. First thing we need to recode is the name. Too many "coins," we need something catchier.

proudhoniteecoin?  humanidhoncoin?

I like where this is going. Proudmanbling?

Mmmmm, yes, yes, "coin" carries all the baggage of both failed government money and the failed bitcoin experiment.  "bling" is a good proposal as it captures the hipness and innovative nature of our project.

Ok, it's settled. Now, we need to get "infrastructure" which, as far as I can tell, equates to a dodgy gambling site. I'll get to work on this.

Also I was thinking, what about manifesting our blockchain into reality, so that you can wear it? ZeroHedge will love it. Blingchain for Proudmanbling. The future is nigh.

edit: Proudhon, you know Max Keiser personally right? Can we get in touch with him? It's obvious that this is truly the most innovative coin yet.

In a meeting with Ben Bernanke and Satoshi right now.  I'll get back to this later tonight.
1120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Downtrend started? on: January 08, 2014, 09:35:05 PM
I suggest passiveaggressiveunironicallyironicpermabullcoin.

Plus a little Kanye West and Doge. Forgot about that.

Ah, blitz, there you are. Would you like to be on the board of our as-yet-unnamed-coin-but-not-called-coin foundation?  We're going to need somebody to represent our project to governments and such.
