721  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Got scammed, any way to get it back? on: July 12, 2017, 09:05:34 PM
I'm new so sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread.

Long story short I accidentally used a scam bitcoin blender (bitcoin-blender.com or http://bitblenduun5mnwp.onion/) and got scammed for 0.1 BTC. Is there any way for me to get them back or am I just fucked? It may not seem like a lot but I spent all my money on it so it is a huge blow.

https://i.imgur.com/6S6jJaU.png

Thanks

Basically you're fucked. You should have done your research before you used it. I really hope people do their due diligence whenever they deal with bitcoins or any other currency (be it fiat or cryptocurrency). The gullible make the scammers rich and that is also why they still proliferate in the online world. Well, good luck, but I don't think it will come back.

I agree with you mate, and all you should do is acceptance beyond what had happen. Never transact for that kind of incertain transactions online for next attemps so that certain situations like that could be avoided. To make a final conclusion about that is, it will not be retrieved anymore and just accept the fact that it was just charged to experience and served as your lessons to ponder.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 10, 2017, 09:47:57 AM
I do see two types of gamblers are following those limits more easier : 1. Pro gamblers 2. Newbie gamblers. If you notice, these two types of gamblers are not into addictions yet or tackled addictions effectively.
No wonders ! To follow any self control protocols, you must be addictions free.
Both professional gamblers and newbie gamblers must be addictions free and that is the reason they may able to follow their limit set up. But no guarantee that these people also stay safer by following those limits. Because addictions will catch up any gambler slowly.

For an addicted gamblers setting up limits can be good and any self control protocols may follow as well. Self determination is good to have and that's difficult all the time specially when you're binded with your bad habits. We cannot stop addictions by just letting yourself not to follow your will but limiting your gambling activities together with your betting amounts can be used to rehabilitate your addictions and it's a better option to do if you wanted to be free from addictions of gambling.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: July 08, 2017, 12:18:41 AM
There is nothing wrong with gambling for as long as we are responsible enough. It's a sort of entertainment to relieve stress. Crypto gambling is better as it is provable fair and house edge are too low.

As I said, that argument is flawed. It's like saying, nothing wrong with cocaine or guns as long as we are responsible enough. Problem is that people are not responsible enough therefore the government should step in just like it steps in on drugs. However they get money from this so they don't really care.

I think government is somewhat to blame if their is a proliferation of gambling. Specially illegal ones and you can't blame people getting into them. The problem is its hard to stop gambling because as you have said, their is money in their that the government benefited. its up to very individual casual or even addicted once to really control themselves and not ruin their lives in the long run. But sadly, its difficult to really stay away from gambling. It is already in every society in the world.

You shouldn't be blaming the govenment about that proliferation of gambling because before that gambling establsihments been structured and registered, they were imposed with a certaim rules and regulations upon doing the operations. Like with casino houses in my country they are paying bigger taxes for the government and submitting themselves to the legal matters of the law. I think the main point to be blame here is the gamblers itself doing it in a wrong way and can't even manage with their addiction; wasting money until dawn. Although it's difficult to stay away but we have free will to do it so, and if I were the government I will be implementing a background checking of a person if his/her family is not affected by gambling activities done by their family member whose addicted with gambling which has caused wrong decisions on money betting.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: July 06, 2017, 02:52:46 PM
I think bitcoin is better than gold only in business, because it has a price that always goes up and down, in contrast to gold a little more stable.
Bitcoin is better than gold when it comes to holding your money at hand. What I mean is that gold is just good for investment since its value becomes high as time goes by but if you need money as soon as possible, bitcoin is much handy than gold.

To share my observations on the system of bitcoin economy today, I must recommend bitcoin as good investments rather than Gold. Not just by reasons of btc's easy handling and digital form of investments, but the long term investments in an anonymous way. The good price will not become stagnant and in the future time you will gain good earning with a better profit better than gold due to it's physical form and fears from theives is very high compared from Gold investments.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: July 06, 2017, 02:23:32 PM
I was regularly betting on sports and I usually broke even, but when I started to lose a bit and get emotions to control my betting then I just pulled out and haven't betted in a year or two.

This is amazing, you are able to distance yourself from gambling with not much of an issue. This is definitely not easy for a lot of people out there. They will try to avoid for days or weeks, but within a month or 2, they will still end up coming back to gamble for more. It has already been a habit for them.
that's what most addicted gambler dreaming about , to leave gambling forever to avoid financial problem. but since an addiction always required long time to get recovered and step by step based on a lot of psychiatrist suggestion. it would working effectively . there always an easy way when you have a strong will.

A strong will and determination to quit by thinking of your life and your family. It would also help if the people around you are encouraging you and are helping out. It's extremely hard if you are trying to quit on your own so it's a big thing if you have support from other people around you
yeah then an open talking needed right? so everyone around you could always supporting you , it's indeed a big help when you have a nice family who care and support on whatever decision you make . in this case you want to leave from your gambling addiction problem and of course there would be an easy way opened when you are not thinking alone but together.
To sharing our addiction with family members or with friends we need courage. Many addicted gamblers will not take this courage and finally, they will take wrong decision in the end. But every addicted gambler must share with their family members. They are the one take care of them until they come out from gambling.

Upon reading the stories on this thread I must say that how worst gambling is, and addictions really affecting most people specially those who are long time gambling players. That's right most of those addicted don't have determinations and courage to quit and give up gambling despite of it's difficulties. Special attentions can be needed in order to change the visions of the person or a member of your family maybe your siblings and even your parents, will have to undergo seminars on how to give up easily from gambling. Proper communications and caring should be given to those individuals and I believe they can overcome it in a long period of time as process goes on.
726  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in Economics class? on: July 06, 2017, 01:40:37 PM
Discussing bitcoin in an economic class will be a great discussion for sure because the students or the current bitcoin users like students will fully understand what is bitcoin and what are the good things about bitcoin which is very important to know and not to appreciate the price of bitcoin only. Bitcoin is one of the mainstream type of currency in the internet and for sure it is a healthy topic to discuss if you are in an economic class.

The discussion about bitcoin in the classroom is a good topic for the student in the class because it's very interesting due to it's unique compared from fiat system economy. Not all people have this knowledge all about digital currency and most of them only knows one spending method is a paper money payment system. This will help bitcoin to gain more transparency to students who put an interest about it and they can use their understandings in the future of digital wealth, which bitcoin will be used as their invesrments to be hold in their wallet and sell btc to gain good profit.
727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN GROWTH FUND! on: July 06, 2017, 11:22:46 AM
Thanks for updating time to time about these guys. It always looked fishy when read about it first time. They are not even giving single reply and nor their social media groups are active here. Thats just big scam. Hope not much of us had invested in them.

That really prove that they are really scam and should be banned spreading their false media groups which should be closed. If they won't be doing replies I am confident that it's not a legit website and all they are doing is similar with those ponzi scammers online. I do have a big simpathy for you mate, because it's been a serious thing specially we are talking funds which is going to earn good returns in the future. I am also recommending to all who read this thread that stay away for any bitcoin growth funds sites and don't invest with them; avoid dealing any transactions.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: July 05, 2017, 12:06:51 PM
Expect the extremely wealthy people who have so much money that it would never be finished, and unfortunately this category has the right to do all the facts !

There are limits to everything no matter how rich you are. You may think that rich people might be able to spend thousand of dollars however in reality they are not going to risk their money for things like this. Thats what makes them rich in the first place and they are definitely not going to drown themselves in this stupidity
I am totally agree with you, but I am talking about a minority who present in maximum 5% of the richest people, and who are generally inherited this having from their parents who have worked during days and evenings in order to have Such a result !

Even if a person is rich they should not waste money on gambling. I have seen many people who are rich and spoiled. They tend to take their money for granted and waste it. This should not be the way rather they should work on improving their lives and working hard like their parents to become good humans in future and earn money by other methods. Otherwise they will also become poor.

We must value the money that earned from your job or at online job income, it's not easy to find money nowadays so you should be carefull of managing funds. Even if that money was valued from our jobs some people were really destined to play gambling and those wealthy of their riches just play their money for fun gambling games, that made them addicted due to habitual activities. That's a better idea of diverting to another options in order to minimize gambling bets and maybe you can focus on other recreational activities, just to fulfill your stress diversion; so that addictions might be rehabilitated.
729  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: my btc account not found in c-cex on: July 04, 2017, 01:49:06 PM
it probably due to the recent transaction congestion, may the network become fast after SEGWIT.

Well that transaction congestion may happen if there is a server activity of the website and of course it will be faster after SEGWIT. Sometimes the most reasons were those threats from DDOS attacks which primarily disturbs the network activities, slowing connections which is so distructing to account transactions at ccex. Traders at ccex were not happy about this specially to the concerned person on this thread here.
730  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: July 03, 2017, 10:55:19 PM
For me making money is not easy if you don't have a postive visions of life and making more money will be possible if you have a good investments like saving bitcoin for a long period of time and wait at the right price to sell your holdings. Lazy person won't be able to achieve that making more money is a reality for them and as far as I know they will just let the day ends by just strolling around, doing nothing. Aside of saving your bitcoin you will also  beneffit of generating more money from businesses to invest and there were plenty of it and all you need to do is to check the stability of the business before dealing with it because money matters always and it's a serious thing to do.
731  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: July 02, 2017, 10:19:12 AM
I competent agree with you. Having bitcoin with us start of profitable investment. We can really make good profits with this market as it is liquid and keep changing mostly in upward direction. Which is the positive trade direction for me and that's why I keep investing into it.

Absolutely yes, bitcoin is a good investment for the future especially when you have big value on your wallet but always remember that you are taking a risk on that there is no such assurance because the fluctuation is undetermined so just be very careful on putting money into somewhere you do not know yet.

Of course this is reallly a good investments of your money as well as good profitable income will be on your way in the future while saving your money in your wallet for a long time. Taking risk is always at your side and the changes of price can be unpredictable at this previous days went through, but some of the investors who were new with bitcoin was in panic due to speculations circulated around the forum and false media. This is a good investment if price continues to soar higher but despite of it's tricky movement of price in the market everybody will have the opportunity of buying bitcoins when it drops off it's price value.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: July 01, 2017, 12:40:35 AM
if you wanna have a better security, i would recommend to have a multi signature wallet (the address with prefix of 3 instead of 1). in case of possibility of being hacked, they need certainly large amount of computing power which consumes all the possible energy in the Earth as there are more than googol (IIRC) of possible combinations and not all the private key is valid for bitcoin address.

You're the one whose liable of your private key and for me the safest way to prevent those hackers to enter your privacy is turn off your location. More of those attackers were now traveling around the internet network searching for good stuff. Avoid sharing your personal informations like e-mails with those strangers, you might be linked with that which causes you to be more vurnerable of hacks. Strong wallet security keys should be combined and don't let it be transparent to anybody even your closest friend might be the sources of private informations to leak.
733  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 27, 2017, 11:54:23 PM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
much better to invest bitcoin/altcoin it is because they are volatile where we trade them both in the exchange site platform.
And it has a brigther future too and very potentials to invest in.

Yes it has a brighter future I guess because as you save your money you are doing an investments for it. Saving your bitcoin money in your wallet for several months or weeks has a bigger potential of profit when it comes to a moment price will generate higher price movement up to the top. You can appreciate the goodness of your investments in savings, and beware of promising projects who offers investments without any reliable sources of background check at good reputations; they are scammers. Holding your btc is the right actions to do and you won't be hopeless because your profitable earnings in the future is worthy to treasure of.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who updates bitcoin value? on: June 27, 2017, 10:59:26 PM
Basically it is anonymous currency. It is handling by anonymous. As people investing in Bitcoin like that the value of bitcoin is rising. Now answering to your question that why it is increasing day by day who is increasing them simple is that think about your any asset of the market the price of which is increased when the demand of it is increased just like gold so the same is happening in bitcoin that with the demand the price of it is increased.

Yes bitcoin price increased as demand increases because buying will spikes up higher and more will invest. So this must be updated by the marketplace admins automatically and they will be correcting some erroneous price rapid increase which mainly other investors are thingking to it as a bubble price. Don't worry if there were time of fluctuations because that's normal and I am confindent that those bigger whales will just let that price to fall for worst, they will do a price pumps and buy more holdings just to take hold of their assets.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: June 27, 2017, 10:15:40 PM
Yes it can. Since gambling is all about risking your money, proper money management, self control, and clear mind set should be applied. Therefore I can certainly say that these characteristics that can be obtained in gambling is be significant and valuable in life since it can help us to live better and successful.
But that is only true if you are actually trying to learn those lesson when you gamble but the truth is that most people are only thinking of two things when they gamble, they are either thinking about winning money or they are either thinking of having the most fun, and neither of these two options are very conductive to learn life lessons.

In my own analaysis with that winning money in gambling games aggressively has come to an end of losses and frustrations, that's why people learned those lessons of making fun on gambling and not a serious type of money making to generate good profit. So this is an interesting activities of our live which brought us an opportunity to teach us good lessons, from our failures through your frustrations of winning that results to recurring losses in a gambling bets being involved.
736  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can money flow from crypto into fiat in large amounts? I don't think so. on: June 27, 2017, 09:25:04 PM
Money flow from cryptocurrency to the fiat is quite possible when the price increase in a stable manner along with the increasing trading volume. This causes price manipulation and some even engage into artificially creating price pumps to increase the trading volume as well to gain the user attention about its increasing market capital.

Well that's a matter of a trader's strategies of doing price pumps, but personally I don't know how to do it because I know only a little bit of quick trades in simple ways. Anyways cryptocurrency price towards fiat will likely to increase depending on how price behaves in the same manner of how bitcoin marketplace works, because digital currency is very shaky in movement of it's price; it can even drop in large amount anytime. It's better to invest while price still cheaper rather than those trending coin price, because it comes a time you buy it a wrong timing; price will suddenly decrease afterall so you won't be able to recover profit that's why panic sells happened.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to know if a gambling site is a scam or not? on: June 27, 2017, 01:32:42 PM
Read reviews altho these could be paid too Grin

It's hard to trust articles or reviews that is being made. But just read those reliable source and articles though the paid once are being created only to attract more gamblers. And there are some paid articles that are making their gambling sites clean in the eyes of the readers if there is something wrong with their service.
Why hard to believe if you get from a reliable source ?? I live in asia and i like to bet on sports betting then before choosing one of my sports gambling site i will look for information from asianbookie.com. Whatever the news you get there is trustworthy, it's the same as this forum all the information you see here can be trusted because btalk is the one trusted sites that have information about bitcoin, not only information about gambling you can get but information about trade or other information can you find here.

Yes to check the online gambling site is a scam or not this is the best place. Bitcoin talk forum will give you all information about all bitcoin gambling website. But here you will not get some local website information that you can google it and read the article on that site. Their people will give reviews while reading that reviews you will get to know the site is a scam or not. I agree scam sites are there, but not all sites are a scam.

Yeah through forum discussions here it can give you the most reliable sources of information coming from the people who personally experienced scam from gambling. Reading articles sourced out from google searches online is a big help for you to determine scam sites of gambling, and the background checks for the site has been linked on the priority searches results of google. If a gambling site scam you, there were concerns raised in the most discussions and it will become trending online and specially in google search topics, and also you can determine it if you are actually playing in their site; no winnings will be paid out to your wallet.
738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's still really hard to use bitcoin as a regular currency on: June 26, 2017, 09:19:29 PM
How will this problem be solved? Will the lightning network allow for reasonable transaction fees with small purchases?

I think that's a big problem to face on challenges Mate, and for now fast network can be advantage specially those who are in rush demands. Those small purchases is not so alarming, but my concerns is with the bigger ones which not all people on our current system which still not recognizing bitcoin for all sectors; they've just thought it's a myth and not liable currency structure. Well if we are able to help bitcoin economy to grow maybe we could just do personal ads on our personal social media accounts sharing bitcoim topics. With that simple ways we eventually help bitcoin community to reach the goals of making it as regular currency in the future.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: June 25, 2017, 02:50:02 PM
I'm pretty sure no one can control the greedy nature. Although we have set a target before gambling to stop after winning but that happens is always the opposite. we will still gambling because greed has controling us.

No one can control it, either you reduce it or seduced by it. In the end everything is determined by your will power. If you are determined enough then you can do anything, controlling such thing wont be a problem. However in reality there will be alot of people that cant control it and ended up ruining themselves further
i think those people who have good control over their emotions they can really control their greed. you need to have good decision power and the abillity to take the right decision and through this way you can certainly control your greed.

Even if you are much in control, there will still be the temptation of greed. It's always gping to be with us as it's always been our nature to be greedy. I think there are just certain types of people who has high and low levels of greediness when it comes to gambling. People can be greedy for a lot of things, it can be fame, money, achievements, affection, anything.
Greed is a trait in every human being,  the desire to get more and more is always there and it goes for gambling,  one will keep trying to win and win all the time until he loses everything, to control greed you must be strong willed.

In a practical manners of a person, that can't be prevented as every human being has no satisfaction all over things he/she wanted. There is an agressiveness to play more bets and in gambling it could result to frequent activities, which links to more losses rather than winning. That proves how addictive gambling is, so you really needed to put control to yourself to a mandatory principle in order to make your gambling activities become moderately controlled.
740  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2017, 11:55:08 PM
Getting to teach our kids about bitcoin should be done with caution because this could hamper their academic performance there may be a misunderstanding between studying bitcoin and the normal classwork. I think we should include maturity in dealing with this kids. I.e allowing them to at least finished high school and they should be guided all through.

I think teaching kids without proper steps and guidance from parents who toke care of them, will not bring good results. Most cases can be of their studies that will be affected and their focus might be destructed in a situation where they could be earning money from online services. They were more prone to attention diversions and those activities from bitcoin might corrupt their minds, because of anonymous identity of bitcoin; also to add up with gambling games that will be influencing them online. For now the ample ways to do is teach only those basic and at the right time, I guess they will be more mature to dig it up to learn bitcoin entirely.
