21  Economy / Economics / Re: A Public Market is Turning 'Cashless' in the Philippines on: December 13, 2018, 06:49:07 PM
'The new Marulas Public Market in Valenzuela City is the first-of-its-kind ‘DigiPalengke’ initiative in Northern Metro Manila where an entire marketplace is equipped to accept mobile cashless payments.'

https://pia.gov.ph/news/articles/1015376

--

This is quite interesting since even a public market where most of the time common folk buy their everyday needs is accepting digital payments. While this is not entirely related to cryptocurrency, it's as if the people are slowly seeing the convenience and security cashless payments offer to their everyday lives. For years, scan-to-pay stores are just confined within the walls of malls and luxurious places but it seems that we're slowly bringing it to the masses and eventually, it will be the norm to pay only with our smartphones and pre-loaded accounts--and in the future, possibly even cryptocurrencies.
This is very interesting in which cashless payments in a public market has being equipped.Seems a very good start that next to this is adopting cryptocurrency and making it popular in different places.Time and technology has gone so far lets just see where it will brought us and watch the future.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019? on: December 13, 2018, 06:17:39 PM
2018 is not a profitable year for almost all Crypto enthusiasts. Though there's an increase in adoption of blockchain technology but almost all crypto assets have lost close to 90% of their all time high and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. In some weeks now, we will say goodbye to 2018 and the hope of market recovery will now cling to 2019. Though am not trying to be pessimistic but what if nothing change in 2019, what if the bear market continues unabated, will it be the end or sign of the end for Cryptocurrency because I don't think many will still continue to retain their hope if nothing positive happens at least for the first quarter of 2019.
If there will be no changes in 2019 most probably holders that truly believe in bitcoins potential would still believe in it but those who owned a weak perspective on cryptocurrency might sell their invested coins due to bear market and panic. But cryptocurrencies value changes anytime in any minute, for me i don't see cryptocurrency to become stable but i see it very volatile.Lets just wait and hope that it will pump up soon.
23  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm loosing. What to do? on: December 08, 2018, 08:37:28 AM
What to do now when things get worse every day, only hold will help us? Who is trying to survive in such a market? Your advice, friends!
Just hold your coins mate if you think that there is a big potential for recovery, just like most everyone did.Holding on is what we must do for now because of the current bear market.Don't just live in this community because we can't really survive if we have bought coins on its ATH,instead have some other choices on where to pofit outside crypto.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pity for those who bought at ATH on: December 07, 2018, 09:11:24 PM
The crypto world at the moment is one filled with so many levels of emotion and reactions to varying degrees of loses experienced by people. While some people are sobbing about their little loses, we should also reflect on the fact there are people who bought BTC @ $20K, Ripple @ $3, ADA @ $1.22, etc. Most of these guys are still hodling, hoping the market will bounce back and they'll recoup their loses.
I totally agree with you mate,i also think on their position if im the one who have bought bitcoin on its ATH.At this time they must stay strong because selling is not an option to recover the losses but i still respect their decision on what to do with their investments.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: December 07, 2018, 02:26:11 PM
All times are good to enter the cryptocurrency market. - Tim Draper
Do you agree with this guy? All I know is Mr. Draper is a billionaire, huge bitcoin bull and a venture capitalist.
I kinda agree with him when I look at the bitcoin inform of investment vehicle for long-term, not just hit and run kind of investment.
What y'all got to say about this?

Yes I do agree with him but investors have different timeframe and profit targets. Some investors wanted to buy and sell bitcoin in a short period of time inorder to profit and other investors prefer for a longterm investments. These just depends on the investors if the rising and falling of bitcoins value are the things that would make them think if they can profit.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This why you shouldn't be worried on: December 07, 2018, 12:33:53 PM
This is why you shouldn't be worried and should understand how bitcoin works

ps. sorry I don't know how to load an image  Grin
Thats right theres always a chance that this bear market would end. This downfall was not permanent .lt might change anytime soon so lets stop worrying and be more positive and think that the next bull run would happen and holders who have patience will definitely rejoice.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will be the new king on: December 07, 2018, 08:51:12 AM
Now the mainstream currency, BTC-ETH, has the upper hand, and they have the strength and technology, but the future is likely to be a new project to replace them more mature and more comprehensive. What do you think it would be?
Bitcoin for me is the strongest one and Eth was just behind bitcoin as of this moment. We speculate often because of the current situation, the bearish market have prolonged enough but i still believes on bitcoins potential and never think that any alts would play the role of a king in the coinmarket capitalization.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: are you afraid of the current market situation. on: December 07, 2018, 08:18:10 AM
This is because several months the crypto currency market has experienced a major outbreak. And start falling btc and expect coins too. As a trader, I feel tension and fear when the market slowly drops due to the garbage market ... What about you who are afraid when the market goes down.
Theres a sad reality of the bullish market this year,we have experienced too much downfall from the start of the year until today. For me im not afraid that it would die or bitcoin become priceless but im a bit sad because some investors were afraid of this bear market and have fears to invest even in altcoins.Traders coins were stuck on an exchanger because there is a slow demand yet.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am a loser. My only question now is, how do I tell my wife on: December 07, 2018, 01:44:09 AM
I mortgaged my house to buy $300,000 of ETH at 800.   I dod not tell her.   This house was paid off in full.  Now I cant make the mortgage payments with my job.  I cant even sell the ETH easily because I live in NH.   Should i keep holding?   Tired of making excuses about wherr all the money is going.   I guess I'm what you call a loser.   Thanks everyone.
You're in a wrong move mate where you hide it with your wife..because what i stand for is that every decision that involves big risk both of you must know it and both parties will decide it.Cryptocurrency investments is a big risk and what you risk is your house inorder  to buy eth.I think you must need to tell her,no matter how she will react, its as good as the truth will set you free.Yes you can sell your eth though the price is falling but leave something to hodl and have patience to wait for the next bull run.
Just my opinion mate.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Buy the dip" is only a strategy for losers on: December 06, 2018, 08:09:06 AM
We see it every time Bitcoin goes to a new lower level.

Bitcoin "believers" will hurry to say "buy the dip" and "just wait it will come back"

Reality is that every dip is a new lower level - and after that comes another dip...and another.

In the beginning of 2017 very few people had Bitcoin - and therefore the price could quickly move up as a large number of people with zero financial understanding started buying Bitcoin.

Now a large number of people with zero understanding has Bitcoin and price moves down - there are no more new fools to get into Bitcoin to ever pump it again.

"Buy the dip" is something only fools believe - and as can be seen in here there are unfortunately many fools in here who do not understand that their money is already lost
I don't see anything wrong on the strategy of buying bitcoins or investing when the price goes dip because bitcoin is very volatile and its nature is to pump and fall. The price would never goes just like the price today when it is stable that anyone did benefit as its price is below $1 or lower than that.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any ALTCOIN ever overtake Bitcoin ? on: December 06, 2018, 02:20:34 AM
It's almost 8 months of 2018 and we have not seen any reasonable hikes for the altcoins,
It was only Ethereum that hit a good value of almost 1.4k$ in the beginning of the year . Since then it's pretty dull.

Forget overtaking can any ALTCOIN ever reach a value near Bitcoin.
Altcoin cannot surpass bitcoins price that easily. Its popularity cannot be surpasses by etherium or any other crypto because bitcoin have earned so much fame on the crypto community and it is the strongest and the most commonly used nowadays.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: first term "HODL" on: December 01, 2018, 02:38:48 PM
this is interesting, because everyone will often make this decision. traders, investors, or speculators.

the term "HODL" appeared in 2013, and came from a GameKyubi post in this forum. with the big theme "I AM HODLING"

he posted the theme because bitcoin dropped to $ 600 from $1300.

and today, investors prefer hodl. but, what is the decision for traders today? or many investors are turning into traders?
The term HODL is very important nowadays that bitcoins price have deeply fallin..But the decision on what to prefer today are for the investors if they would cut their loss or have some more patience and wait for the market to recover.Others also take advantage on the price drops.Investors can decide whatever they want because at the end of the road they are the most responsible in their actions and decisions outcome.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who would actually believe celebs promoting crypto? on: December 01, 2018, 12:51:11 PM
DJ Khaled and Mayweather had an issue about shilling an ICO. And other celebrities hyping or promoting scam coins. Who would actually rely on their words? If you're listening to celebs then you are not ready for this type of market at all.
Well those people who are uneducated on cryptocurrency would probably believe on celebrities most especially if they idolized them. But if they're knowledgeable enough on how cryptocurrency and ICO works they would never jump into conlcusion without even trying. If they try to they will know how valuable bitcoin and altcoin was and will not believe on their idol says. They will know its existence was very helpful to each one another.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: December 01, 2018, 05:40:32 AM
How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.
It is already used as a real currency in a form of payments to some goods mate because there are already merchants outhere but the demand is not that big because most people used it as an investments purposes and the lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency.Maybe those who knows about bitcoin should aware other people that there are existing tool that we can used as a mode of payments and we can profit as well.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you promote Bitcoin? on: December 01, 2018, 04:10:31 AM
How do you promote Bitcoin or crypto currencies?
Do you even promote it ?
I am promoting it to my friends back when I was just new in crypto ,
But most of them doesn't care about it back then.
My friends already know it,i told them about its existence but even if they know the profit that i have made from it they doesn't have enough time to do some research about it.Maybe they're skeptical on it and doesn't want to adopt cryptocurrency as part of this high technology.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we still believe in Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2018, 09:10:46 AM
Yes I truly believe in cryptocurrency. We all know that the basic aim of everyone for participating in any investment market is to earn profits and there is nothing wrong in that. But a person should have some realistic goals. You can invest in something blindly and then expect your money to be doubled in a week. You should research and study properly and take every decision wisely.
You were right mate, knowledge in cryptocurrency is very crucial because this will lead us to be more successful in this business. We are here in this forum because we are bitcoins beleiver,on the other hand we are also aware of the risk involved with it most especially on investing so we must be more careful on our decisions inorder not to regret in the end.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all honesty, who still wants bitcoin to die? on: November 30, 2018, 03:17:43 AM
Before this plunge, a lot of people spreading FUD about bitcoin and how they want bitcoin to die and how obsolete bitcoin is. People saying  that this alt or that alt will replace bitcoin and that bitcoin is no longer King of crypto. Now, looking at CMC, as bitcoin values going down so are ALL altcoins. No shitcoins...I mean altcoins able to get through what's happening in the market not even BCH, XRP, XLM or any other alts able to get pass through the bear market. This is just a proof that all alts value depends on bitcoin value and  the influence of bitcoin to the whole crypto market. I'm very sure before bitcoin value turn to zero all alts turns to dust just like when Thanus snap his fingers and dusting happened.

So tell me, with all honesty, do you still wants bitcoin to die?

No one would ever want bitcoin to die because we already benefited from it and we are still looking forward for bitcoin and altcoins brighter future. Those who doesn't believe in bitcoins potential will eventually miss their chance of having alot of opportunities.Maybe those people who were spreading FUDS will probably want bitcoin to die but thats too far because bitcoin is the strongest and no one could ever surpassed its value because it had develop well and tested through times.
38  Other / Meta / Re: Merit points to rank up on: November 29, 2018, 09:10:37 PM
I've been adding my activities for months and still couldn't rank up.
It seems i can only rank up when someone send me one merit point.

Can anyone help me to get merit points please?

Merit system has its advantages where posters make quality information inorder that we can give reliable informations to our co bitcoiners. The problem nowadays is that not everyone of us can please anybody because everyone of us has its own perspective and idea or opinion in different topics. That is why its been so hard for now to rank up,but in this community mate we need to have alot of patience to survive, just don't give up.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto capable of making the world go digital? on: November 29, 2018, 02:54:01 PM
This is very possible. The Blockchain technology is a revolutionary one with a lot of significance. As the people become more familiar with it, the adoption and utilization of the Blockchain and cryptocurrency will increase which will gradually lead the world to cashless.
The world is preparing for it,digital gadgets, even digital money is already on its existence and i guess everyone here sees that cryptocurrency is a trend that is very useful and this can go with the flow of the worlds high tech ways of living today and more improving in the near future.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret getting involved in crypto? on: November 29, 2018, 08:55:15 AM
Cryptocurrencies have been around for a while now.we've the early adopters and late adopters.  Heard a lot of postive and also no to forget negative experience from people. Take a flash back to when you decided to get involved in the crypto world and judging by what you have achieved at this point in time.

Do you regret your decision to get involved in the crypto world or you wished you had joined earlier?
Well being here and getting involved on this forum is an opportunity that need to be grabbed, because this can be a tool that can change our life.I never regret that day i've known bitcoin in my life as well as this forum because of the rare opportunity we have.. we need to learn from other peoples experiences and we should need to have knowledge inorder to earn more in this cryptocurrency community and its a nice experience that we are ahead of others because we are already aware of cryptocurrencies existence most especially bitcoin.
