Some get really creative in storing their keys. Some have them engraved on steel then stored in a safe, some encrypt them in music files, while others have them tatooed on their skin. Smiley

This goes to show much the governments sees bitcoin as a threat. Because simply, they fear what they do not understand and have no control over.

Going cashless is the future, right?

perhaps the mystery behind his identity helps keep society curious about bitcoin.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: May 18, 2018, 02:55:22 AM
Why so quick to say bitcoin has already failed? I think what we're seeing is just the beginning. Bitcoin will grow further and users will be become more informed and confident about it in the next few years.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook makes its own coin, will it be selling in the market? on: May 18, 2018, 02:46:17 AM
I don't think FB will ever be anti-bitcoin. IMO, they're going to make an impact on cryptocurrency in one way or another.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin less evil than PayPal? on: May 16, 2018, 02:33:18 AM
I've had many problems with PayPal in the past. Bitcoin is already proving to be more of an efficient payment system. Cheaper and faster too!
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain can help banks on: May 16, 2018, 02:24:42 AM
Blockchain reduces the cost of verifying transactions, so I'm pretty sure banks are already looking into the benefits of bitcoin.

The future looks bright! When the growth rate stabilizes, there'll be more personal payment solutions (similar to PayPal) as well as traditional banking solutions built on top of cryptocurrencies.

58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Can Help Social Media Sites Like Facebook on: May 16, 2018, 01:03:52 AM
It's all about info sharing and for social media sites to milk money from such communication. I won't be surprised if the next round of social media platforms will be shaped by blockchain tech rather than the other way around.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does hoarding really hurt Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2018, 12:30:11 AM
I don't think so. As long as good vendors and services are here, and if that reinforces people's faith in bitcoin, I think it's all good.

Most people are still intimidated with the concept of bitcoin. Once they learn more about it, I'm pretty sure they'll want in too.
