I know this isn't the proper place to post this but I mine at Eligius and didn't know where else to put it. I am running a server on my desktop, I checked my error logs and found this.... Along with a bunch of other errors, and they are trying as I type this to get in.The ip has been banned permanently.

My wallet is offline so they can't get my wallet.dat file but look at this bullshit. I am reporting the ip to the proper authorities, but they are probably just a zombie. Anyone else running personal servers experiencing anything like this?

322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS OPENED for Chili on: November 02, 2013, 04:37:52 PM
I have an Accelero Twin Turbo 2 cooler on mine sitting on four pegs or feet to raise it up a little. It runs at 70C in a warm room. Mudbankkeith's Chili is running cooler but i think the target temp is 70C-72C (I could be wrong) and I would rather it be a little lower profile than his but I'm comfortable with whatever you decide.

Mr Teal's   "The Chili" has arrived.

If we have to go away from cointamination, then this a nice alternative.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/73kv4ul81krnt3g/2013-11-01%2013.08.00.jpg

Hashing at 32.25Gh, steady at 53C, power at the wall 166w (this seems a bit low)

error rate is 8.2% after 1 hour (is this a bit high?)

The cooler is MASSIVE but VERY QUIET.(edit:- no need to shout)

Mine runs at 70C (your cooler is massive...) between 33-35 GH/s with 5% error rate using CGMiner 3.5.0 on Ubuntu.
324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: October 30, 2013, 09:23:00 PM
Just wanted to put it out there that I am using Ubuntu 12.04 CGMiner 3.5.0 and all I had to do was plug it in to an open USB port and my Chili has been hashing away at 34 GH/s with temp at 70-72C. I really like this board....
325  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UPDATE] CrazyGuy BFL Group buy #1 and #2 on: October 30, 2013, 06:03:27 PM
Got my Chili board up and running. CGMiner recognized it immediately, it has a lower HW error percentage than my Jalapeño.  Gotta say that CrazyGuy went above and beyond for me while I went through a difficult time with a sick family member. Just wanted to add that he has quickly become my primary source for mining hardware.

Batch 2 news

Quote
I will have it emended tomorrow. Please accept my apologies for the error.

Kind regards,
Jonathon

Forgive me but does that mean batch 2 is on the way?

And also I wanted to say to those of you not wanting the chili board,  and yes I understand you all valid reasons such as VAT and other extra cost. --- It's a good board, I have one that CrazyGuy (great hardware seller by the way) was nice enough to get for me. It has been hashing away at 34 GH/s for days now with fewer HW error % than my Jala. It is quiet, cool (for 8 chips), consistent and started right up using CGMiner with no issues. CGminer immediately recognized it and started hashing away. Now with all that said I would rather get a Cointamination board  (because of cost like the rest of you) but 2 Chilis for a little extra is a good alternative. The giant rise in difficulty far out weighs any extra cost so we need to get hashing as soon as possible.
327  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS OPEN on: October 30, 2013, 02:19:39 PM
Tom (JJ) has mailed a check with tracking # to reimburse me so now I can pay Lucko directly for assembly.
Tom explained that he invested a lot of his own money in this project and had no intention of scamming anyone.

I got my full reimbursement check from JJ and he sent my chips to Lucko who is trying to get them out of Slovenia customs.  I was the first person to get bulk chips so I've lost significant hash time but JJ is out significant investment in time and money for parts and Lucko and his team are trying hard to fix their boards.  So just to be clear, there is no evidence of a scam here.
I'm happy to hear that.

Ditto.  Good plan.  Use the chips as they come in to fill orders as they paid.
No arguments here sounds good to me. I have 8 in batch 2 and 8 in batch 3 so It's all the same for me anyway.
329  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS CLOSE at the moment on: October 29, 2013, 05:21:32 PM
Batch 1 and Batch 3 chips are now at Ljubljana.
Is there any news on the batch 2 chips?
Yes but lack of documentation is making it difficult to get them out of customs...

I got no replay from BFL about batch 2....

Did they make out of customs? Any news on batch 2?

Updates...

Tracking is unfortunately down so I don't know where pacage is. I hope form gets it today...

I have a backup plan ready. MrTeal and I are working it out for me to licence his board... Unfortunately that second solution could cost more...

I have one of Mr.Teals Chilli boards. It's a good board (quiet) but it does cost more for sure.

I'm sorry to post this a second time but what settings do I change to be able to remotely view the Avalons cgminer stats?

Edit: Never mind I see the answer several pages back.
Hi
witch page is it on ?

It does accept port 80, so create a rule on your firewall to port forward some external port to your Avalon on port 80. ie. incoming port -> TCP 37000 to 192.168.1.99 ->TCP 80, this way from the outside you will have to http://externalIP:37000/ to see the webpage on the Avalon.

Thanks that was the first thing I tried xxxx->80 and it didn't work but will give it another go.

Well I haven't jumped ship. I have no where else to go so I (we)  are counting on you.

335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: October 24, 2013, 09:46:54 PM
I have my mini, I flashed the firmware recommended on the previous page.  I'm happily hashing away with fewer HW errors (thanks).  Is there any reason why I shouldn't clock it at 375mhz my temps seem to be holding steady at Temp 1=28 Temp2=47 Temp3=48?

Edit: Should I change the miner count to 16 or leave it at 24?

Hey, I have more hashing power on the table now (about 65GH/s total) my difficulty keeps jumping around now from 16 to 32 at one point it was 4 for a long time but my hash rate is fairly consistent. Is this expected and if not let me know what your thoughts are.

Yeah, mine jumps around a lot too.  Maybe there should be a little more hysteresis added to the formula for switching difficulties?

I asked awhile back how the pool determines a miners difficulty, below is wizkid057's response. I just didn't expect it to jump around so much. Now that I know it's not just me I'm sure it's expected.

The pool targets 32 shares per minute.  So, sticking with that...

(hashrate_in_hashes_per_second/4294967296)*60 = difficulty_1_shares_per_minute

Difficulty 2 would be triggered at 64 shares/min, Diff 4 @ 128, Diff 8 @ 256, etc.

So for you,

(10,000,000,000/4294967296)*60 = ~140 difficulty 1 shares/min

Then divide by 32 to get difficulty ~4.36 for 32 shares/min.  Round down to the nearest power of two >= 1, and you get difficulty 4.

Quick question, out of pool hosting, stats dev and pool management, which would you prefer donations to?

That I would like to know as well.

Sigh. It's always something w this pool..

It's just the stats page you can see on your miner that shares are being accepted. Cgminer has an  api (I'm sure Bfgminer does as well)  so you can check the status Remotely if you use   - api--listen or something like that.  Just do Cgminer  - - help it should tell you. There's a lot of useful information there. There's also a few example. php pages to help you in the download tarball.

I just wanted to post here as a warning to anyone looking to buy a Cointamination board in the US to be sure to go to Lucko and not to purchase anything through JerimiahJohnson.

JerimiahJohnson is in fact Thomas Van Riper, who went by cablepair here. He's scammer tagged and still owes bASIC customers very large sums of money. As someone who had orders for bASIC products on order with him, I would not trust him with a dime. Go directly to Lucko.

Really?  He introduced himself as "Rob" in my PMs and emails.

+1 for Lucko.

The bASIC scandal occurred before I joined the forum so I can't speak to that. Also JerimiahJohnson has already announced he is not currently accepting payment for board assembly.

However, I sent my 97 chips to JerimiahJohnson's assembly house in Oregon on 9/19/13 and paid him $3600. After waiting a month with no board assembly due to technical difficulties I called the assembly house and was told the chips and PCB's had been sent to Thomas Van Riper, St. Regis Falls, NY.

I know Lucko is frustrated about the way things turned out and is trying to fix things.

Yeah sorry to hear that dwdoc. Hey Lucko is everything okay? Is there anything we should know about?

I love the name of this project. Just sent a pm to Bicknellski. I'm in, I don't how I can help but I'll help in any way I can.
