161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spend or HODL Bitcoin during COVID-19? on: November 03, 2020, 10:07:02 AM
The decision of whether you will spend or HODL your Bitcoin at this time of covid-19 pandemic will be dependent upon your own situation. Many would suggest that you must keep on hodling for you will be benefited once this pandemic comes to an end. Many will also say that you must spend your Bitcoin or you will die starving for keeping on holding and it will be nonsense once you die for battling on holding rather than spending to fulfill your needs to survive within this pandemic. Now the decision of spending or holding lies on your hands. No one should dictate you but just your own self for we have different situation so we must have different approaches depending upon the call of the situation. If it is not badly needed, then hold. But if it really necessary, better spend it for you can still earn it after all. Be wise on doing decision and do not get affected what people say for you will be the one to prosper or suffer.
There is no correct answer because it all depends on what we can do, if we are good in trading then why we should hold because a good trader can easily increase the amount of btc that they have in trading but if you have characteristics of a long term investor then it is better to do HODL than trading. When the pandemic starts, most of the financial market crashed and cryptocurrency market is belong to it, it created fear but it managed to hold and recover. Now, the bitcoin is now in uptrend and it became trending after it broke out the recent resistance at $12,000. In this kind of situation, the thing is it is better to hold and many traders calling it as trend follower and you will just sold it after it breakdown in a support or it give weakness in short term time frame. I have bitcoins that I hold and I also have bitcoin for trading but my portfolio in HODL is more expensive than the portfolio that I have in my day trading port.
162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What technical indicators do you use and why on: November 03, 2020, 03:27:38 AM
Simplicity for me is beauty and it is the way for me to manage mastery. I only use 2 indicators which are moving averages and RSI. When I was a newbie I really use a lot of indicators like MACD,  Bollinger bands and Stochastic but I changed my yrading system because of too many indicators. The signals and the conviction are conflicting each other so for me it is better if I will just use moving avrages and RSI. I use moving averages to validate a trend and to know the support and resistance. In RSI, I use it to know if a certain cryptocurrency is trending or non-trending,  to know the support and resistance and also to know entry and exit points. In terms of tools, I use a lot of tools,  I combine it with the trading indicators that I keep using for me to add convictions.

164  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: November 02, 2020, 05:27:29 AM
Questions:
1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?

Around 1st quarter of  2016

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?

If I'm not mistaken it was mid of June 2016

3. How did you get on the forum?

2 factors lead me to join this forum, the 1st factor is when I research about  bitcoin and I found this forum but I didn't yet created account, the one that can I called as trigger is when my friend created account in this forum and he invited me.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?

Fear and ignorance. What do I mean by fear? A lot of people are afraid to take risks and it is the fear. When it comes to ignorance, a lot of people have no financial education so they do not care about cryptocurrencies.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?

For me it can be harm in the community, why do I say so? I'm a gambler and I understand the risks that I'm taking. I have a high risk tolerance so I can accept huge losses but for the other people who do not have high risk tolerance then it will be a disaster because it can affect their mental health.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?

It does not need Special education to gain information about cryptocurrencies. We are now in information age wherein all of data are now uploaded in the internet. It just take courage and determination to learn the foundation and all of the information that are required to learn in order to have a successful investment. For me 2-3 years of experience is enough and it does not need special education.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?

Merit system is good in order to prevent the farming of accounts. I'm really agree that the forum implemented it.  In terms of signature campaign, I think it doesn't harm the forum and for me it is the reason why there are many active users here in the forum.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
Most of the forum topics are useful so I cannot choose any one of those. In terms of most useful person, I also cannot chose one because there are a lot of good people here in the forun who spreads financial education.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?

None

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?

I don't usually invest in projects but I trade cryptocurrencies in a lot of exchanges

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?

I have a big loss before and it happened last 2017 I, my estimated amount of loss is $60,000 that time I can really admit that I'm became super greedy. I also admit that I'm not yet good in trading and I let my greed to control me. But I finally overcome it and it is a lesson learned for me.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?

"Free money" but this type of investment is a high risk and high return investment.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?

Yes

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?

None, I usually read stock market books and apply the concepts and ideas in the cryptocurrency market. Most of the concepts are applicable in cryptocurrency market.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?

I do not usually give advises and recommendation because for me those both are only creating hype in the market. I advice to people to study and make investment on the coin that they understand. I rely on price action after all so I recommend to buy tokens that are trending

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?

Between $14,000 -$15,000

165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop bitcoin scammers? on: November 02, 2020, 02:45:44 AM
Bitcoin being a decentralized currency is one of the biggest inventions of the century.
It is true freedom, we already got our bank in our pocket by just owning Bitcoin in our personal wallet.

But one of the most problems of Bitcoin is this, the scammers that using Bitcoin, which some people may misunderstand the real use of Bitcoin because of these scammers. For me, no one can stop these scammers, the best thing to do is education, everybody should learn first, but this is very difficult for newbies.
You cannot stop scammers to deceive other people but you can stop scammers to deceive you by becoming aware on what it is. Having a financial intelligence is really important, you should not be deceive by just believing that you can earn profit in just small period of time.

The reason why a lot of newbies are being scammed is because of their mindset which is quick rich scheme where in they want their investment to double in just days or even weeks. It is funny to hear that but there are also side that it is sad because they keep losing money. Scammers are the one who are wrong there but as an investor you are also liable to yourself. You will not get scammed if you focus on improving your education.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 01, 2020, 05:29:01 AM
I likes this news, thank you fro sharing @harizen, we don't need to wait for many days to see this league resume again, we will start betting again next week and I think I will start depositing back my money to my sportsbook, hopefully by next week the transaction fee would reduce already.

Will monitor this timer. Grin

https://pba.ph/

Even if the transaction fee would still be high next week, i think there would not be a problem sending BTC to the sportsbook because even if you put 2 sat per byte, it would still arrive fast to its destination, that's from my experience.

Good to hear that PBA would resume next week after talks with the IATF. It seems that there are lapses committed by the players/staff as the virus penetrated inside the bubble, that is what the IATF is ironing out.

They did not name who that player made that lapses, but it's all good because we will now see the PBA resume, it's Tuesday, that's only 2 days from now.

Not much time to wait, so let's get ready when that time comes. haha
I thought that the PBA will postponed all of the games after a certain player and referee got positive to the virus, maybe I am not fully updated on the basketball league in the Philippines. The recent news that I only heard where Calvin Abueva finally able to play again and he have monster stats in this first game after being suspended in many months. The whole PBA is still lack of strict health protocols I think and it is the reason why there are doubts that the virus are spreading throughout the bubble. I do not know if it is really a bubble because there are players out there who are still engaging in some fans who are near the hotels. The staffs also in the hotels in the bubble are not stay in so there is a high possibility that they can be infected by the virus in their community.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 31, 2020, 07:38:43 AM
The unemployment rise and poverty rate in many countries rise because of the current pandemic, we cannot blame anyone on what happened and we should just focus on how we will regain the things that we lost because of the pandemic. This pandemic is not just about negative things, I also lost my job but for me it is became advantage and not as a disaster because I can now focus on my personal growth.

The personal growth that I am talking about is my financial intelligence also physical health development. When the lockdown happen, I read a lot of personal development books and trading books. Those trading books really help me to regain all of my losses in cryptocurrency market and my current portfolio is now up with 76%. For those who lose their jobs, do not blame the government or the virus because there are a lot of opportunities out there. What you need to do is just to train your mind in order to see those opportunities.
168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: it seems to getting more difficult now to analyse cryptocurrency prices on: October 31, 2020, 03:05:11 AM
For me analyzation is really subjective, there are people who wants complicated analyzation to have better conviction on the data that they are getting and there are some people who have  simple analyzation. I only analyze few coins ranging 5 -10 coins because there are too many coins in the market and I do not have enough time to analyze them all, I'm a day trader and not a pokemon hunter so I do not give care on some coins especially those shitcoins out there. When I analyze a certain coin, I first look at the background of it where I research the team behind for me to see if the coin have potential or not. Then I look the sentiment if there is a hype on it, there are times that hype is the reason why the prices are quickly rising up so I considered it as one of the factors. The difficulty of analyzation depends on what skills that we have, it is easy to master especially if we will give care on it. I do not also suggest that you will follow that analyzation of the others because they are not liable whenever you lose your money in the market. As a said earlier, the analyzation is a subjective and you should be the one who will create it and not the other people.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 30, 2020, 03:18:30 PM
There is a misconception especially in playing gambling games, a lot of gamblers thought that skills and knowledge are the most important factors and they do not consider the psychology. The psychology in gambling have a important role and we should consider it if we will put funds to do betting or to play gambling games because mental health is important as physical health. We cannot decide well and cannot formulate good strategy if we do not have awareness on what is in our thoughts and on what we feel. If we lose, I think we should have a mindset that can handle and tolerate huge losses. A mindset that can help us to have good gambling system wherein we have set of rules in order to maximize the gains and above huge losses. Losing in gambling is normal but losing big amount of money is not so we should manage our risk carefully wherein we should not do all in in just one bet. Many gamblers are keep losing because they are focusing on rewards and not to the risks that they can take.

171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 30, 2020, 03:32:15 AM
I also believe that the new normal in the resumption of games is a success. Because it has not been easy to carry them out because the virus has been everywhere and the players and the staff despite the strict measures that they have been implementing, the virus has come to affect them. But thanks to the quick and timely prevention, the organizers of the sporting events have been able to solve the problems. We have also noted the sensitivity and generosity of the players and team owners who have supported with significant donations to counteract the effect of covid19.
Not all of the sports and league have a success operation again ot what they called a bubble. One of the successful league is the NBA where the Commissioner really focus on the physical and mental health of every players. In terma of the basketball league in my country, I do not considered it as success because there is one referee and a player that become poaitive through PCR testing. I think they ahould tighten their security amd health protocols in order to prevent the spread of the virus. I want also commend the other leagues and sports out there that are now operating again. We betters lovely to see a exciting game again.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Missed the golden opportunity, now what?? on: October 29, 2020, 03:23:36 PM
There is a big problem when it comes to our mindset, many people thinks that they already missed the opportunity to ride the momentum of the bitcoin; they keep focusing on what happened to the past and not in the present. We should change our mindset and develop it to a mindset for a successful investor and trader. There are still opportunity out there and we can see it and grab it we are now fully prepared. I will ask your knowledge is now enough to participate in this current bull run? If not then continue to keep studying but if yes then this time is the best time to grab the opportunity. There will still a lot of golden opportunities that we may encounter, we should anticipate it but be sure that we are already have plan to grab and achieve it.

The demand on bitcoin is continuing to increase in these past days and it is the reason why the volume is keep rising, for me it is good as long as the volume average will hold and for me the price needs to consolidate. If you do not know how to entry in best way then study more and I think you can grab the opportunity that you are currently seeking.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just a Question... on: October 29, 2020, 11:32:50 AM
I think there are a lot of gamblers that use telegram and maybe a lot of them have been accused of scams because their use is not very popular so far. Some of my friends still use telegrams for crypto gambling and because of that, I think even though it's not very popular gambling on telegram is still available and for me personally, don't know about them and just occasionally see my friends gambling with crypto there. As for discord itself, I think they are indeed a good place for promotion when compared to telegram, since discord itself is mostly used by gamers, maybe that is one of the reasons why promoting gambling is more popular on discord.
I think that is really the point where the telegram have already bad reputation in terms of gambling industry because in the past I saw a lot of scam accusation via telegram. Discord is good because it is easy to access where there is a channel that is properly arranged and the user can easily search the information that they need. I recently open my telegram and I've been invited in so many scams group, it is really annoying so for me it can be also a factor. If they use telegram then they can get bad reputation especially ofr those users who experienced to got scam via telegram.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why waiting candle to close is important? on: October 29, 2020, 07:35:56 AM
There is a popular quote saying that "opening hours are for amateurs while closing hours are for professionals". There are many fake movement in the opening candle and it is the reason why some suggest to have positions in the closing candles. But it is not always like that because there are times that a successful momentum or a breakout that happening in the intraday, the only thing that we should do I think is we should manage our risk very well in order to avoid fake breakout by a certain cryptocurrency. Understanding the price action, candle and validating the trend is really important to have good trading strategy.
175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is better than Holding on: October 29, 2020, 05:57:01 AM
With every hope of making profit, comes with a significant amount of risk. What makes one have an edge of the other is time. Hoarding is an economic term which simply implies, accumulating a particular thing for a period of time with the aim of releasing it for sale when it becomes more and more valuable. This is the idea that the early Bitcoin/crypto enthusiast adopted and it worked for them and we hope it works now as well.

What we ought to know is that, there isn't going to be any other like Bitcoin and as such, the value to which any coin can get would only be a major of the already existing ones in a less quantity. The more you wait, the more it either depreciates more or appreciates very little in a very large time frame. This is what makes hoarding today a bad business in contrast to trading. Trading though risky and dependent on experience, your sure to acquire your aims in the shortest time possible supposing you have the know how as per experience. It's just accurate analysis and risk management.
We can do both trading or holding but what matters is we should have an edge in any of the two. The edge that I am talking about is the mastery for us to fully utilize it. I'm a holder before but I became a trader because for me time is gold, I can't wait many years just for me to see my investment to become double. That is why I made my own research and started to become a trader especially when I saw a lot of people who can double their portfolio in just months. Holding and trading have big differences and there are certain skills that are required if we will do both or choose any of them.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 29, 2020, 02:19:55 AM
Mavericks willing to trade anyone not named Luka Doncic or Kristaps Porzingis for third star, per report

Its just dumb for Mavs on letting Doncic and Porzingis to be traded off.Who would be your guess to be their third star?

Giannis Antetokounmpo is their ultimate dream, hopefully they can get him even without trading their present stars.
Other names, I don't know because Luka has been playing as PG of them team, so they need some stars not on PG position, how about Westbrook?
There are many too rumors when it comes to Giannis Antetokounmpo, there are some platforms and media that heat is interested to him and also there are some that saying Mavs is interested to get him. I think the highest probability is seeing Antetokounmpo in Mavs for me because the Mavs is currently forming a big 3 wherein they say that they can let go other players except to Luka and KP. Another big man in their team will make them conquer the next season for sure but still it is just a rumor and there is only small possibility that may happen. I'm now excited to see the next season and how are the teams will form a good and strong team that will considered as another level team.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: rich people super rich are taking loans now why? what it means ? on: October 28, 2020, 11:33:39 AM
For me there is misconception in our society where a lot of people debt is bad but for rich people it is opportunity especially for those people who have high financial intelligence wherein they can make money from debt. I know a lot of real estate investors wherein they keep taking loans from banks and then they keep buying properties like Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki. We should change our perception when it comes to debt because we can take loans and we can use it as capital in order to gain opportunities where in we can make profit from it.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: October 28, 2020, 09:50:33 AM
The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. There has been a change in consumer behavior and buying pattern. Most physical businesses and public businesses have been hit hard because of the strict government rules and regulations on public gatherings. People have been forced to reduce to the nearest minimum the time they spend in public places like shopping malls, supermarkets and also the amount of money they spend on non Essentials goods and services. People are more aware and now adapting to a new way of living (the digital way) one of which is “E-commerce”.
In a study conducted that I stumbled across; https://unctad.org/news/covid-19-has-changed-online-shopping-forever-survey-shows

It clearly shows that Companies and businesses that put E-commerce at the the forefront of their business are ready for the new digital age that is emerging from this pandemic, while those that operate with cryptocurrency in addition to e-commerce will have the ultimate edge over others. No wonder the already existing companies are incorporating bitcoin (cryptocurrency) related services to their already exiting services, for example PayPal. What a great time to be Bitcoin Enthusiast.
Actually our government already implemented a lot of new payment system like what happened yesterday wherein the payment in tollgate or the expressway in my region is now using online payment system. It is really true that the virus may spread through cash and it is the reason why many people pushes to use digital payment system in order to be safe and also to be convenient. There are recent news where in the E-commerce business especially the Amazon and the Alibaba gain huge amount of profit in this kind of pandemic wherein a lot of people prefer to go shopping online than to go physical shopping to avoid the virus because they will be vulnerable if they will go outside of their homes.
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we back to the bull market? on: October 28, 2020, 06:12:56 AM
We are now in bull market wherein the buyers are in control, how do I say that the market is currently uptrend? It is because the price structure of the bitcoin is currently creating higher lows and higher highs that define the meaning of the trending market. I really thought that the bitcoin will breakdown in the recent long consolidation but I was wrong because the demand got higher where in there is a massive volume that leads to successful breakout last week. If the price holds in above $13,000, expect that the price of the bitcoin can become more expensive.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 03, 2020, 05:16:49 PM
~
Mitchelle was unlucky enough on his final shot against nuggets.
It was Conley who took the final shot for the Jazz in game 7. Mitchell, on the other hand, turned the ball over with over 10 seconds to go. Jazz were lucky enough to even have the chance to win the game after that turnover.

Not playoff related...Steve Nash signed a 4-year deal to be Nets head coach. One of the best PG's NBA had but I wonder how's that going to turn out for ball hog Kyrie  Huh He could be switching team again if Nash tells him to pass the ball more than he's used to.
Did you see the highlights of Steve Nash before? It is really awesome especially his passes that are extraordinary but the thing is it is now different because he is now a coach and not a player. I'm sure that he has a good basketball IQ that can lead the Nets to conquer the next season, I only hoping that KD and Kyrie will be healthy in order to see their full potential as a team. There are now a lot of speculation around the internet after Nash signed as head coach of the Nets.
