81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Catalyst for starting next Bitcoin Bear market? on: November 22, 2020, 08:54:25 AM
News can be a catalyst but the thing is I only focusing on price action and my decisions are relying on what is happening to the price, I'm a technical analyst so chart is my friend and I know when the trend will already finish or when it will already reverse. Right now there is no bearish signs in the market but usually the bearish signs are the bearish divergences, failed to hold to a certain support, breaking down in medium support like 50 MA and breaking down in major support. Those signs of weaknesses and expect a reversal. Try to backtest what happen in the last bull run in 2017 where the price experienced those weaknesses that I mentioned above.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be a massive BTC dump? on: November 22, 2020, 07:43:11 AM
As strong bitcoin rally continues and we may see ATH soon do you think there will be a massive retracement as well? I think current rally is different from 2017, bitcoin became more mature with support of big and smart money so I don't anticipate major price rop.
This time is far different from the past Bull because now investors are mature and we are seeing real people inside not like last 2017 that almost looks like a Bubble.

Now PayPal is merging in crypto,Some richest man in their country are investing inside this market.

Small investors are looking for legit coins to buy in and not those Pump and dump currencies.

So i think This Pump won't have massive DUmp but correction i believe.
The market is currently pausing near the ATH where it may considered as correction if tomorrow's candle will still be red and have a volume but this price pausing is a sign of bullish because the price is still holding at 23.6 Fibonacci retracement. I also expect that the price will consolidate in this time because if the price beat the ATH without prior consolidation then it may consider as bubble where there is a high possibility that a massive dump will occur. If there will be a consolidation I prefer to people to collect and acquire bitcoin as they can to anticipate the nearing breakout to its current ATH.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is not easy to make money in cryptocurrency on: November 22, 2020, 06:39:38 AM
The only way for the people who plan to enter in cryptocurrency market in order for them to earn gains is by improving their skills and by investing in their knowledge, it is not about investing or trading, it is about how you will acquire knowledge and skills. Actually a lot of people are entering this kind of market because they think that it is an easy money for them where they think rich quick mentality. That kind of mentality is dangerous especially if you are still ignorant in the market because the treat to you by the people who have massive buying power is just a prey. For those who have enough capital to start trading or investing, I prefer to use your skills and services to save money and use it as capital in the near future. A strong determination is required and you must have it for you to have spirit to not give up no matter what will happen.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life, gambling and trials. on: November 21, 2020, 03:10:30 PM
I don't spend much on gambling so I don't expect to win big so whenever I win, it's just a small amount of money that I often use to buy small things that I need. If I don't have anything urgent to buy, I use my winnings to buy foods like cravings just to treat myself as well as my family. I have not tried giving my winnings to my family because it's just a small amount but buying foods to share with them is still nice because I'm treating them even if it's just a normal day. They don't mind if I'm gambling as long as I'm limiting myself with the amount I spend, and it's my money after all.
Me too, if I won in lottery for example i always set aside some savings so that when emergency came and I need money there will be a backup money that I can use. normally I will save 60% to savings then 40% for gambling again, but I am not betting everyday, when my mood is good I'll play but when I'm not in the mood I'll skip, emotions are very important to me when I am playing, for me it has the biggest role in winning and playing.
That's good because you are having priorities unlike other gamblers who spending all of their winnings then they will regret it later after they lose it. I have a trait of a gambler who are always focusing in managing risks because I know that gambling is not just being skillful or being lucky and for me it is not enough because what we need is to know how to handle different risks. Handling our psychology is also important wherein we should not be greedy especially when we are having consecutively winnings because there are times that it lead us to become greedy and lose all of our recent gains where the profit goes waste just because of greed and not managing the risk very well.

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Are So Many Altcoins Worthless After a Little Time on: November 21, 2020, 01:21:25 PM
For me it is because of HYPE, there are now a lot of data and history wherein a coin pump after it got listed then suddenly after few weeks a massive and consecutive dump will happen. It is the reason why I want to trade a establish coin first for me to have a data that I can use in order for me to analyze and for me to create a good planning to anticipate the scenarios that may happen. I focus on altcoins that have potential where it cannot considered as shitcoins because majority of the altcoins nowadays are really do not have value where in it is hard to enter and to exit in just one trade.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: November 21, 2020, 12:06:05 PM
I cannot believe some guys still think that the covid-19 is not responsible for the economic crash and instead the government is responsible. Please wake up and see news and every country is suffering and stop believing in these conspiracy theories.

I was baffled when I saw this statement in OP:
we all knew that now it is we all knew that the economy crash was coming anyways with covid or without covid.

I mean the economy was doing good, yeah maybe going down for some countries but overall everything was fluent and it is corona virus that doomed down things such that from sports to weddings and everything is suffering. I think people have the right to complain and blame the virus for the tough times and there is no way you can hold anything else responsible for this.
Economic crash is inevitable and the covid-19 is one of the factors why there is a recent economic crash in different countries. Look at the nations especially those 3rd world countries, the poverty rate increase and the unemployment rate also increase. Do not blame your problems in government or in anyone because like what I said economic crash is inevitable and as a part of the economy; we should be aware and should be prepared in the worst and best case scenario. Actually those people who are currently suffering because of the pandemic are the people who are not financially literate because they are only depending to others, a financial literate person can overcome different challenges like this pandemic. I do not judge them, I only said the truth; a financial literate person can easily see opportunities in different kind of problems and obstacles.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for altcoin season on: November 21, 2020, 10:14:55 AM
I'm now also acquiring altcoins that for me have potential because I know that the altcoins seasons are coming, bitcoin is not the only one that are trending and some of altcoins are now also trending where there are now a lot of bullish signs. As a position trader, I know acquiring positions as much as I can because some of the coin that I will mention is still in accumulation phase where buying is good because the price is still cheap and they are still consolidating. Theses are my top 5 coins in anticipating the altcoin season and these are: ETH, Chainlink, BNB, XRP and YFI. Those coins are within my criteria that is why for me those coins are good when the alts season comes.
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Bots: Traders Take On Them on: November 20, 2020, 05:20:13 AM
Bots are legit to use if you want to, no platform will prohibit you from using them (or at least not one I know of Wink).

However, as with everything else it comes with a caveat and that is that some bots might not work in the way you think they do, thus in the end losing you money. Personally, I just don't like shifting that responsibility to an algorithm when I can decide for myself.

Sure, there are also people out there who mastered their use but this like everything else takes practice, and i for one don't have the time or capital to expend on that practice.
My perspective changed in these past months about trading bots, I'm once a hater of the trading bots but now I saw its potential and it is to make money even though you are not monitoring the chart but I still prefer to trade manually because it is the fastest way and the best way to learn trading. Those profitable by using trading bots said that it takes a lot of time, money and effort in order to build a profitable code. Do not expect that you are going to make money easily and guarantee in your 1st investment using trading bots. Also considered the probability of winning because most of the users of trading bots are losing huge because of their wrong algorithm.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 20, 2020, 01:22:05 AM
And yeah, the warriors will be at the bottom of the league again...
To say they are bottom of the west because klay is out is wrong.  Steph and Draymond on their game will have them competing.  I'm not a fan of Golden state but to say they can't beat the likes of Portland or suns , etc is crazy.  Ya'll shouldn't doubt steph

I agree, they have Wiggins as well, Wiseman is gonna be an excellent rookie imo, Ky Bowman and Eric Paschall had some great moments last year, i expect them to play even better this year. What i'm hearing is that the Warriors are close to signing Kelly Oubre Jr. ( he is no Klay but he is a solid player) Warriors should be given cap space for a disabled player exception that's around $10mil if i'm not mistaken. They will have a decent enough roster to be in playoff contention, bottom of the table...hell no!

Me, I just feel that Thompson is really different, the amount of energy he brings to the team is incomparable so I think Warriors will struggle a bit this season. Curry is also prone to injury and I hope he will not just keep the load himself and must be effective in distributing it as a PG, if his teammates are consistent, hopefully, then I believe they would be able to compete, I hope Wiggins has fully adjusted to the system already.

No doubt klay is one of the best shooters in the world and has ice in his veins during clutch times.  Agreed steph is prone but if he can carry the load while the rest of the team will just have to pick it up.  I can see a 50-32 type of season for them without klay.
But the saddest part right now is Klay will miss another season because he is currently suffering with significant Achilles injury. I hope he can get well soon because it gonna be a good season if he will play with Steph Curry. I'm also afraid that maybe it is his last season because he got injured seriously 2 straight times and I hope that he have high hope and faith for him to play again in the league. I'm so excited before that the duo will be back soon then I found out the news in my newsfeed.  Angry
91  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Treasuries on: November 20, 2020, 12:05:45 AM
This will hasten the adoption process of bitcijn especiy when these big of a company are the ones who are open in saying that bitcoin is the future. However, I am quite in doubt that they are saving bitcoins for that sole purpose only. These corporations may be hiding something from us that we do not know of yet. This ckuld either make or break bitcoin's future, and being the public, we can only afford to watch.

If you are a small potato "public" person, then you should be buying bitcoin, instead of just watching.  Sure, some institutions might try to play with their coins to sell high and to buy lower, and some will make money in the process and some will end up getting fucked because they tried to play with or manipulate something that they did not understand.  We have already seen a lot of these kinds of dynamics, and the overall game does not change that much merely because BIGGER players are getting in, but BIGGER players getting into bitcoin puts buying pressure (and price pressure) on bitcoin rather than logically causing you to become too scared to dip your toes in because you believe that some of them might dump... blah blah blah.  They might, and they might not.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Don't get stuck without any coins... and failing to meaningfully and adequately prepare yourself for UP.
Sadly to say that a lot of people are keep wasting the opportunities in the market where they prefer to watch than to take any action, for sure that there are a lot of companies and institution who also keep acquiring bitcoin especially today where it is now nearing at its all time high which almost $20k. These companies and institutions have the best analyst for sure and they able to understand that the all time high breakout is the strongest breakout that may happen, it is funny that a lot of people are now scared especially the small players out there where they think that the price is now expensive and overbought. Actually the momentum signal like RSI is having different purpose and uses whenever the prices are having strong momentum.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: Effective Covid-19 vaccine found on: November 19, 2020, 03:20:18 PM
The good news about the COVID-19 vaccine that has proven to be effective has quite an effect on the Bitcoin price which
immediately rises to above $ 17,000. Hopefully it can be distributed throughout the world soon, even though it is not 100%
effective, at least there is a hope that the pandemic can be stopped  from spreading. Everyone wants to live a normal life again,
because we are all tired of facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

we dont know exactly if the announcement regarding covid vaccine push thru the btc price. it may have contribution but we dont know the level of impact. at any case, with 2 pharma claiming to have 90+% efficiency, people are now having high hopes that we will at least go back to normal life again.
but it will take time to have access to this vaccine, depending on the agreement between governments and the pharma company.

with these 2 companies, moderna and pfizer, i believe moderna's vaccine will reach a lot more people than pfizer because of refrigeration issues when it comes to pfizer's vaccine. but who knows, there are a lot of pharma industries vying for this much coveted vaccine, as time goes by, we will see a much economical and most potent vaccine?

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/2020/11/moderna-edges-pfizer-coronavirus-efficacy-and-refrigeration/
There will be added sentiment to the price of the bitcoin if the vaccine completely become 100% safe in phase 3 of the developing phase but that sentiment is not the huge where it can considered as small factor. There are still investors that are afraid to buy bitcoin because they keep saying that the pandemic is still not finished where they are expecting more crashes but it will not happen anymore because the market already recovered from huge dumps and for sure that if one of this companies finally released a report that their vaccine is safe, there will be a price increase not only in stock market but also here in cryptocurrency market wherein a lot of investor can now remove the fear that they are keep feeling. Both of the Pfizer and Moderna recently released a news that their vaccine is already at 95% and only 5% remaining and this will only take days or even a 1 week before they finally released the result of their trials.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 19, 2020, 11:36:58 AM
No, we are not fools when we believe on holding, which is the best strategy any investors can use in the areas of investment to make a good  profit.
Yes, HOLD isn't a fool way to earn profits. As an investor, it is the way to earn profits, right? But we should know well when to hold and when to trade/sell our coins. It is something that we must learn carefully. Get the knowledge from various sources and also have experiences to know about it. Also, the success of "HOLD" depends on the coins we are holding. That's why we need to have a good way/analysis to choose potential coins. If we choose the wrong coins, then surely it probably ends with a sad story.

Considering the timing of the HOLDING is the best way in order to make profits, there are also characteristics and some attributes that a trader should have before doing a holding because it is not for everyone. The 1st thing that we should consider in the patience, can you wait more than 6 months or even years in order for you to take profit? If not then holding is not for you but if you can then you have one of the attributes of the good investors then the second is timing wherein you should do holding if you bought at dips and not in the peaks in order for you to maximize the gains and minimize the risks that you could face. Holding is also depends on what type of coin that you will buy because not all of coins are good for long term investment because there are some that suddenly dying and those coins are threat for our capital.
94  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy Trading... on: November 19, 2020, 09:56:45 AM
Copy-trading is not a feature that you can get easily.

I don't know if there's a legit platform where users can easily avail of the feature.

Others might say that it's good to keep the trading manual but we can't stop those who want to avail of the service. Just make sure it's a legit platform and already established a good number of positive reviews.
We cannot really stop them because there are some that are too lazy to study trading wherein they want convenience and earn passive income by availing copy trading. There are some copy trading that are free but there are some have payment in order for you to copy a certain trading wherein you will see all of the details of his/her execution but those copiers should understand that the copy trading cannot give you a 100% gains because it is really depends on who you copy. If you will copy just a wannabe trader who keep boasting that he has good skills even though he is not performing good then of course you may incur losses if you copy a trader someone like that. The idea of copy trading is good for those who do not have enough time understanding and watching the real time price action but for those who have a lot of time; manual trading is still the best because you can experience the trade and you can learn from it.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another billionaire just invested in bitcoin on: November 19, 2020, 07:52:01 AM
The net worth of Ricardo Salinas Pliego according to Forbes is around 12 billion dollars.
10% of his "liquid portfolio" means a few million dollars,I guess.
Not bad,but not impressive.Anyways, more billionaires and millionaires are buying Bitcoin,so Bitcoin looks more legit in the eyes of the rich elite. The price is going up and more middle class people might follow the example of the rich and start buying BTC.
I'm concerned that most of the new Bitcoin buyers are mostly speculators looking for big profits, rather then fan of the technology behind Bitcoin.I guess that they will buy and use some BTC,in order to appreciate the concept of blockchain technology.
Imagine the 10% of the portfolio of a certain billionaire is so huge, we are talking about millions of dollars here so for sure it can be a factor why the volume of the bitcoin in the last weeks are keep rising. So, another billionaire became interested in cryptocurrencies, I also speculate that there are some billionaires who also buying but not telling it in the public because it can create hype like this one. Finally, institutional investors, billionaires and some traditional investors are now becoming aware to the potential of the bitcoin. I'm sure that the popularity of the bitcoin will drive crazy after it beat the $20,000 mark and a lot of investors will pull out their money in different financial instrument to ride the upcoming price increase of the bitcoin.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: gratitude to all... on: November 19, 2020, 05:26:33 AM
So, you also bought bitcoin before the halving wherein the price is still in bearish territory and the market sentiment in that time is still bearish because it is the start of the pandemic if I'm not mistaken, I remembered that day wherein there are a lot of threads about the possible dump of the bitcoin but look at now the chart of the bitcoin. It keeps making higher lows and higher highs which indicating a strong greed in the market. Bitcoin has a healthy uptrend and you can observe it by understanding the chart because right now it making only small consolidations then it keeps breaking out. Congrats to your paper profits and probably it will increase more because the price is almost in the ATH where it is considered as crucial because for sure there will be a price rally whenever the bitcoin pass the current ATH. The forum is become healthier than before and congrats for the others who are also make profit because of the tips and predictions that they are discussing in different sections.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: November 19, 2020, 04:20:49 AM
Many people think that pandemic is a threat for their financial journey but for me it is a opportunity to lessen the curve in order for me to achieve my goals and dreams. Actually my portfolio got better even though there is pandemic, I remembered that when the pandemic starts the price of the bitcoin really dropped so much where for me it is the perfect to buy and luckily I got a guts that pushed me to purchase bitcoin will all of my buying power. Now my portfolio is up with triple digit gains and I now acquiring altcoins that have now showing a bullish signs.

I'm part of the people who lives became better because of the pandemic because I grab a lot of opportunities wherein I know that I can reap what I sow in these past months. I still studying and researching a lot of information for me to become a better trader and a better investor.
98  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 18, 2020, 03:00:14 PM
you could put in 20 dollars and spend 12 hours without spending all of that 20 dollars
Dude, except if you do like $0.01/spin (1-line bet and such), $20 only lasts like 30 minutes (generally). It's not enough to go to a loss-win-loss cycle (well, except you directly go to the winning cycle). In my experience, at least you have to prepare $150 if you want to play that long.
I imagine how is that possible wherein you will spend $20 in 12 hours of playing slots 😂 . Sorry for the emoji but it is really crazy when I read the post spending $20 in slots in straight 12 hours. Disclaimer, I did not make fun of it I just found out that is too crazy because for me the possibility to do it is too small because I also play slots in Roobet wherein I also experience consecutively losses and it almost reached $30 in just minutes. That $20 can quickly decrease in slots because of the house edge and it is the reason why for me spending it for too long is too crazy but there is an exception and if you able to grow it and there are a lot of crazy payouts in the Roobet so there is still small possibility but it just once in a blue moon where you can considered yourself as a lucky if you win more than 100x multiplier.
99  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats to everyone for reaching $20k again. on: November 18, 2020, 01:21:02 PM
For those people who will sell their bitcoins at $20,000 please don't do it because you will regret your decision. That is the last resistance of the bitcoin and it is considered as the major resistance where if the current price breaks it then for sure a rally will most likely to happen wherein we can see monstrous single day gains. I actually thought that the bitcoin already $20,000 because of the title of this thread and I quickly view the chart because I have a plan to enter when the price breaks the current all time high. I'm not fear because the market is full of greed wherein there are still whales and investors who have huge funds that are still acquiring and collecting as much as they can. The end of the 2020 will be gonna be good because we can see the bitcoin to reach and create a new all time high.
100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility determined by percentage of traders vs hodlers? on: November 18, 2020, 10:04:46 AM
Hi,

I saw a statistic online, that currently lists the percentage of hodler of bitcoin (holding 1+ years) vs number of traders who hold btc 1 month or less. Currently there are 64.99% hodlers of bitcoin vs %35.01 of traders. My question is, does an increase in percentage of traders increase the magnitude of price swings? If say the percentage of hodlers of bitcoin stabilizes in the future to 90%, will the magnitude of short term price swings also decrease? In other words does volatility decrease as percentage of hodlers increases? Is that why "bluechip stocks" are less volatile? because a large percentage of the investors are holding?
Understandable that price swings and movement could really be even more when there are lots of people who had been trading and also i dont really that much
on believing into those numbers yet its not really that precisely determined on whose been holding for years and been doing active trading. We can just base off
into exchange statistics but knowing the precise numbers arent really that the same. You had mentioned about stocks are less volatile then its expected
yet price cant swing that much if you do compare with crypto assets.
Not all of stocks have low volatility because there are some stocks who have high volatility similar to cryptocurrencies, in terms of what good between trading or investing in volatility of cryptocurrencies; volatility is a matter especially if you are day trader wherein you are making profit in quick swing high or quick swing low if you are doing some shorting. A day trader should choose a cryptocurrency that have high volatility in order to maximize the gains. If you will make investing and not trading, volatility is just a little factor because as a investor you are not hourly or minutes monitoring the chart so you do not have care if the prices are making swing high or swing low in just short period of time.
