Awful news for basketball fans and the GSW in particular, Klay is out for the season.

When i heard about it yesterday, i was hoping it could be a calf injury or something not as serious but yeah, it's the achilles on his right leg, and he will be out for a while.

He just recovered from a torn ACL on his left leg and now this...

Or, maybe they might want to get rid of Rozier if they think their future is with Lamelo or they were expecting to trade Lamelo instead? I don't know what will happen but maybe they could play them bot together like combo guards instead of rotating them at PG position between each other?

Rozier was a former wingman in Celtics, right?
Could it be that he will be back in that position? A shooting guard. Well, he can shoot. He has that great touch.
LaMelo could handle the playmaker position making good spacing for the whole Hornets team.

That my analysis. Or, they won't give LaMelo the long minutes yet until he could prove something.

A big question to ask since this season is not started yet.

But along the way if they will keep both players the coaching staff needs to design a gameplay for both of them.
Lots of adjustments to builds up and there's also possibilities that the young rookie needs to take some time in
proving his worth for the team or time to observe how everything should work the best outcome.

 Warriors are so unlucky, just as they were getting Klay back and Curry too, and drafted Wiseman who I think could have been a great help. They now lost Klay again, and it looks serious as well. Kobe literally ended his career because of similar back to back injuries, when you injure one of your leg and start using the other one too much for a very long period of time, the other one gets under stress a lot, even regular people who just walk without any sports or anything but putting pressure on the other foot usually ends up hurting the other one. Unfortunately things do not really look too bright for Klay and his future, maybe it will be another year of not playing and he can come back but I doubt he could ever be the player he used to be defensively, he could still shoot well I imagine because you can readjust your shooting based on your leg situation, but defense will no longer be his thing I am afraid.

What am I missing here, about the sixers news, have they trade their superstar already? either Embiid or Simmons? these two can't work together, there's no chemistry in the team, I think this is the kind of big news I'm waiting, and I'm sure everyone is keeping an eye on this news too.

There's chemistry. It's just that the Sixers made a wrong move before trading some part of their core players.

Several years since "The Process" commenced, we see that Embiid and Simmons work their way to become a good tandem. But aside from that, they also need good role players surrounding them to make "The Process" complete.

If I'm not mistaken, I've read before that the upcoming season might be the last season where we can see the Embiid-Simmons duo. That's why Sixers are active this off-season starting from replacing their coach to overhauling their current roster.

No way. An unexpected news. We know that Klay is one of the best in GSW but if he has to get out for this season and needs to take a rest, he's better doing that.

Most likely you're right. Those players that went through recovery process after being injured experiencing changes in their performance.

Heartbreaking news for the Golden State Warriors fans. He is expected to play at his 100% in the upcoming season and now the worst happened.

Taking that kind of major injury 2 times in his prime is not good news.

That will affect his performance once he got back even in a healthy status. And worst, his value might decline.

Honestly there are tons of places where you can read about the draft and you can see what people think about the players and how they will be a fit but it is really not the best of draft classes to begin with from projected potentials so there is really no need to assume what teams got.

However, one thing really shocked me was Lamelo Ball to Charlotte Hornets. Because, they got Terry Rozier for such a huge amount just recently, so why would they want to get Lamelo as well when they could have gotten someone at the wing or a big?

In the 3 hole lamelo was the only puck.  Best available.  Literally the next pick was a guy who didn't even start a game in college.  You always draft the best player available not just for a hole and reach for someone you can trade down for.  Lamello is young rozier can help him along and if lamelo isn't ready no worries you have rozier.

I agree, they have Wiggins as well, Wiseman is gonna be an excellent rookie imo, Ky Bowman and Eric Paschall had some great moments last year, i expect them to play even better this year. What i'm hearing is that the Warriors are close to signing Kelly Oubre Jr. ( he is no Klay but he is a solid player) Warriors should be given cap space for a disabled player exception that's around $10mil if i'm not mistaken. They will have a decent enough roster to be in playoff contention, bottom of the table...hell no!

Warriors guard Klay Thompson suffered a lower right leg injury Wednesday during a workout in Southern California, a league source confirmed with The Chronicle. He will undergo an MRI exam Thursday morning.

We will wait for further news to confirm if he really is not gonna for the coming season. Not good for the GSW, they are beaten by injuries.

Me, I just feel that Thompson is really different, the amount of energy he brings to the team is incomparable so I think Warriors will struggle a bit this season. Curry is also prone to injury and I hope he will not just keep the load himself and must be effective in distributing it as a PG, if his teammates are consistent, hopefully, then I believe they would be able to compete, I hope Wiggins has fully adjusted to the system already.

No doubt klay is one of the best shooters in the world and has ice in his veins during clutch times.  Agreed steph is prone but if he can carry the load while the rest of the team will just have to pick it up.  I can see a 50-32 type of season for them without klay.

Wiggins will definately benefit under the vertical leadership of steph and draymond.  Over in Minnesota the stars were young.  He was the Canadian player of the year when he came out and was a lot of hype around him.  The only issue he needs to clean up is his efficiency and with steph getting the most looks that shouldn't be an issue there

But the saddest part right now is Klay will miss another season because he is currently suffering with significant Achilles injury. I hope he can get well soon because it gonna be a good season if he will play with Steph Curry. I'm also afraid that maybe it is his last season because he got injured seriously 2 straight times and I hope that he have high hope and faith for him to play again in the league. I'm so excited before that the duo will be back soon then I found out the news in my newsfeed.

This is just sad. My hopes are soaring for the GSW redemption but it will difficult without Klay.
