341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOCOIN-Welcome to the begining of a new era on: May 20, 2018, 08:57:49 PM
I didn't really understand how Yocoin will be distributed. Will it be only possible to get it by the way of mining? I've seen pools in the OP, but no other details.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Zoin - Privacy Based Zerocoin Protocol. NIX airdrop June 6th,2018 :1 ZOI = 2 NIX on: May 20, 2018, 08:45:45 PM
Could someone explain to me the difference between Hexx and Zoin? They both use zero protocol and are mined with CPU, Hexx is in earlier stage i think so potentially way more profitable but what else?

That's not clear to me either. I suspect that the new coin may have been created for an airdrop just to boost the price of the old coin. Cheesy

Please make sure you have updated your wallets! Upgrade using the following links.

Windows - Block 335,585 https://github.com/zerocurrencycoin/SimpleWallet/releases

Linux - Block  329,640 https://github.com/zerocurrencycoin/Zero/releases

Did the exchanges (Cryptopia etc) already update their wallets?
I didn't understand the concept of infinite supply... shouldn't tah be devastating for the price at some point?
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nucleon (NEON) - Web-Based Mining via Forum (Not based on Post Count) on: May 20, 2018, 08:33:05 PM
Is the figure of over of half a million members true? Do they all mine? And how much does the browser mining affect the computer's resources? I didn't find too many information on this coin.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 20, 2018, 08:22:59 PM
The person who forecasted btx price to ~$3.6 is a a damn genius..

Someone predicted this price when it was $20...what a great forecast must deserve a noble prize for this prediction!!!

Since everybody around here is making predictions and most of the numbers are covered by some prediction, it's pure mathematics that some of the numbers mentioned at some point become true. Especially as the price moves and this way it touches a lot of numbers. If Bitcpore would tank further to ~$1.3 you would stop to consider that guy a damn genius Smiley
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Airdrop to ETH holders now 🚀 🚀 🚀 on: May 20, 2018, 08:10:35 PM
I have seen that the snaphot for the airdrop has been taken in April. Is it the first/only round of airdrop or has there been others before - or will there be later? BTW your website on submission of ETH address says "Balance check temporarily unavailable".
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRYPTONOTE][AIRDROP]⚡️ Electronero ⚡️ ASIC Resistant Electroneum HardFork on: May 20, 2018, 06:55:52 PM
I bet you have put airdrop in the title to make more people possible join this. This is not an airdrop btw but a fork. It should definetely be more clear in title and first post. Bad start for me, maybe it's a good project but putting a misleading title doesn't demonstrate good will. Seeing also bad practices about exchange spamming and fake account joining Telegram doesn't smell great too. I'll pass this, even if it's potentially free money, as Electroneum owner. And please, at least change the name.

I totally agree, I have lost five minutes of my life trying to find a relation between the airdrop promised in the title and the actual project which is just a hard fork of someone elses work. My opinion is that if they cheat already in their wording, they probably won't get better in their coding.

Anyone knows when the AD4 will officially start? And when the team thinks to be able to catch up with the delays caused by the leaving of one of the devs ?
To attract new users, the team must prove to be efficient and reliable.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 20, 2018, 06:18:42 PM
Agree. Aside from getting small proportions, not all participants are selling their GBYTES right away.
Me too. I am hodling all my coins which I got from Byteball campaigns.
It's naive to sell Byteball at current extremely low prices.
I will keep my rewarded coins tightly till its hit $400 at least.
Byteball hitting $400 is an over estimate it has a very huge supply, i know the tech is good and devs are working hard to improve it.

I expect at least $12,000. (twelve thousand US Dollars) per Gbyte.

You won't expect the 50 times pump of a coin with uncompleted distribution.
$12,000 per Gbyte will make Byteball unto the top 5, which is impossible mission for Byteball.
No idea that Byteball can have a higher market cap than IOTA.

It all depends on the timeframe that you are taking into consideration. Uncompleted distribution is uncompleted only until it's completed. And at some point Byteball WILL be completely distributed.

We finished the update. Now everything is working fine. Good luck with mining!  Grin

Well done. Did you figure out which country the attack was coming from? Do you think it could be the same people who did the DDOS attack a few days ago? Any clues on the reasons of the attack? I'm asking out of curiosity.

The ICO should be over by now,.. but due to the Contest its been extended until next week by may 8, 2018..

at press time they already reach 11,400 ++ ETH or almost 9,000,000 USD at todays ETH rate.

Will the signature campaign be extended too or will it end this weeks end, as it would be logic it should?

How often would you hit a block with CPU mining now, mining with a good i7 processor? I mean, is it a matter of hours, days or weeks or... years?

I have 1 4core/8thread and 1 8core/16 cpu mining and I get between 2-4 blocks a day between both of these CPUs.  With a single quad core, I would expect 0-1 blocks a day, certainly 3-4 a week.

In order to mine is there anything special you's have to do or is it just sufficient to leave the wallet open? How many of the CPU's resources would the wallet use?
You need to leave the daemon running (it is running when you are using the gui wallet).  You also need to set it to generate.  You can do this with the debug window in the gui and do:
Code: ("debug window")
setgenerate true
Or if you are using the command line, you can do:
Code: ("command line")
$ ./baby-cli setgenerate true
Assuming you are in the directory with the baby-cli binary and it is executable.

In both cases you can limit the number of cores it uses by adding a third parameter which is the number of cores.  Using 2 cores would be:
Code: ("debug")
setgenerate true 2
Code: ("command line")
$ ./baby-cli setgenerate true 2

Thank you, this has been very useful. Especially the command to limit the mining to an X number of cores, I would have not been able to use it otherwise.

Speaking about luck (or lack of), not to find any block in over 24 hours with over 2500 hash/sec is a quite frustrating experience. And imagine what will happen when the global hashrate will increase further! The pool mining is badly needed. Urgently. Before people with low hashrate just stop mining, never getting any reward for that.

Until we will finish that you can take a look here: https://webdollarforum.com/index.php/topic,31.0.html

It really didn't make any differences to me. Now I have been waisting electricity for 40 hours at 3000 hash/sec spread between different devices without finding a single block. All my friends with less powerful computers have already stopped mining, and by all I mean really all and they are very many. If you had launched the mainnet with the working pools you would have not lost a single miner. For mass adoption you have to think different, not like a nerd. Most people in the world are not nerds.
Are you a crybaby ? Cheesy
OMG 3000h/s...
OMG wasting electricity ...
OMG I'll stop mining...

Not so long time ago, when the first coins were born, there were no pools at all or pools were not made quickly.
People had to mine new coins in Solo cause they have steel balls!

Get more hashes !
Don't waste your electricity! Mine in workplace/college/school
Mine! Don't stop!
Don't be a whiner!

Also the average network speed is about 1000Kh. It's extremely small. If average speed of one miner is about 1Kh/s then only 1000 people mine right now.

You must be one of those poor people affected by Functional illiteracy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Functional_illiteracy), ie even though you can technically read you are totally unable to understand the meaning of what you read. Therefore I won't try to explain you what I've actually said.

Quote

And I see you are a thief too. I guess you are already stealing electricity to someone, aren't you? And a thief of the stupidest sort, one who doesn't even realize he is a thief, so that he would even openly encourage other people to start stealing like him as well.

I don't know what to say) Now I'm on block 1850 and my balance is 3000 WD instead 12000 which was few minutes ago. It's really scam.

Oh, I see, first it took you more time than anybody else to understand that Webdollars is a legit project, and now that you've finally understood it you totally fail to see some actual problems it has, not even when you are told.

There is no Webdollar. There is no WD team. There is a group of hackers who mining Monero (or another CPU coin) with our hashes. And website and balance and other features are just fake.

You clearly must be a genius. If you could survive so long with such an understanding of things.

Which should I buy, WAVES or ETH?

If your not sure which one to go then it is always good to go with both coins because of waves and eth are good coins. You can reduce your future losses when you diversify your funds.

If you have to ask a question like that and you put it in those terms, perhaps you shouldn't but either of them. Or, alternatively, just flip a coin without waisting your time and ours with questions like that.

and again i was searching for a goodone and missed this , well maybe i can still mine it for a few days , seem to me as a realy serious project , good luck BABY-team , gonna watch you from here

You can still hit blocks with CPU m8.  When you do, it's 2k baby and you only need 10k for MN.  The coin is sub-satoshi pricing on graviex as well, so it is far from too late.  We're currently on block 31522, but PoS doesn't even start until we get into the 200k area.  I get what you mean, but Babychain is definitely designed for mass adoption and people can only mine with CPU from the wallet so.. jus sayin Smiley

Just couple of pages ahead they have answered that all the campaigns will last till 4th of May. That means people have one more week to continue. I expect more flow of money in these last days because some people might be using their funds for trading and now will bring investment here. Anyways current raised money is good too.

Good to learn about this news. It has been a long successful ride and these few days more will pass rapidly and then we'll discover how the market will handle Bob. I am very curious since it is a project unique in its kind.
