Is that ok ?

if not then I delete it

I would recommend to check for ortoghraphic mistakes and to correct them before making a big campaign. Even though certain mistakes are certainly exotic (I do mistakes myself), in this case they don't fit very well with such a nice graphics.

I successfully utilized the unexpected opportunity to buy at 35k satoshi by replacing my other token by BNT. I feel much more glad that total cost per token has declined for me whereas number of my total BNT token has increased significantly in last couple of days.

You have really been very very lucky. Unfortunatelly I have bought BNT much much higher and now I haven't got more BTCs to buy more at this absurdly low price.

Why waves assets are difficult to list in large exchanges? Like starta, my starta is stuck, and no decent exchanges list it, the price dooms. Bad waves platform.

Yes, because of your bad investment the platform is bad. Look for the problem yourself, be a little self-critical.

This calls anyway a question I've had for a while: are there waves' tokens listed on any major exchange? If not, is there any technical reason for that?

685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: October 14, 2017, 12:24:28 AM
It has happened also to me in 2014 and I holded and I got back my money + a lot of gain this spring.
It has happened to me again now, even though not 80%, and I will hold.
When you lose 80% of everything you have very little lo lose left (just 20%), so holding is the only option. Sooner or later you will likely get back your investment. If you sell, you will save 20% for sure, but you will lose 80% for sure, and you will never get it back.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoS] BitcoinStake - 100% Free Airdrop Distribution on: October 13, 2017, 12:39:49 PM
The coin has really little movement, I guess that I am one buying and selling his own cosin to get it to move ... maybe a couple of others, but like this BCS is just wasted time

Well what can one do with a 10day old free coin? Would take a lot of development and use cases for it to really take off.

for ita value it needs to trade ... meaning it needs us to waste money on it.
For it to turn into a useful coin, it needs a true plan and deployment strategy. Or this will turn into another zombie coin. Same for LCS.

if people want to dump the coin, let them.  it's not a get rich quick scheme to make a quick buck, just cause of airdrops.

the whole point is to hold and stake.

the uses for the coin will come.  don't expect the sky within 1 week.

Just a reminder, you only get the airdrop once.

Thank god someone talking at a positive way. Saw the price at coinsmarket and it is at 300 sats now which is sad.
But I dont care. I will keep on staking until I get a better number of this.
He is right not all coins go up just like that in a week. Perhaps the airdrops are now sold but they made a wrong move.

People have some strange expectations these days, get frustrated if a 10 days old coin has no value, as if Bitcoin had a value when it was 10 days old. I'm rather more worried when newly created coins HAVE a value on thgeir very forst day...

It looks like this project is developing nicely in time, the forum is very impressive in size and care and the fact that features like DeepVault are added to the wallet is a good sign of ongoing development. Now it just have to enlarge its adoption rate.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: October 13, 2017, 12:18:13 PM

i admit it wasnt a total scam in the POW phase, since you got alot of coins that you could sell at 1100sat before the pos ended,
but the devs sold thier premine at the pos start, cause they knew ppl would hold like idiots and oooops surprise the price dropped 50%
then thier left alone admins and wallet devs tried to convince ppl to stay cause the dev would for sure come back...

this project maybe has a future after it reaches 19.5 sat, maybe it will rise one day to 100sat

there were no premining for this coin man, don't talk about anything you don't know

It looks like this person either has posted by mistale in the Bancor thread was was intended for another  thread, or he's just spamming around at random, or he's just a fool Smiley
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Poll for BTX Distribution-Oct 30th on: October 13, 2017, 12:14:44 PM
Gwestcot,
Did you notice that the 10 BTX requirement will be removed at the end of October? What are your thoughts about this? I think that it should remain and I don't believe that I'm alone in this thought.

I support the requirement for the minimum balance, but it could be lowered a bit, eg down to 5 BTX, due to the rise in the price.

As for the poll I think it's too early for massive airdrops, now it definitely would cause the coins' dump.
The coins distribution should correspond to the speed of the adaption and the development of the new use cases for BitCore
I voted for the last option - Continuing 3% - preserve the value - prevent the dump  Smiley

The major issue is that we cannot get on any of the larger exchanges because of the premine and the size of the dev's addresses. Using Metcalfe's Law, the total valuation of Bitcore is 16.9M USD. At full distribution this would mean that right now each BTX is really worth a little over 1 dollar. That is ok by me since you would have more coins but the project would also gain legitimacy.

I'm very interested in your use of Metcalfe's law. How did you exactly made this calculation? Is the user base of Bitcore known or just estimated from the existing addresses? Is there any study of the value of other coins as matched with the numbers of Metcalfe's law?

There is a forum post from an economists somewhere around here but yes it was determined that there is a strong correlation between Metcalfe's Law and the value of Bitcoin. It really can't be used as a predictive tool but rather it can be used to tell you if a coin is undervalued at that moment. I think there are two equations to determine value. One is based on daily transactions which Bitcore is fairly low and the other is in the total number of addresses. He gave each equation a coefficient with addresses being worth .30 and transactions being worth 1.50.

I am aware of this post perhaps, if it is the treatment of Metcalfe's law by a bitcointalk member called Peter if I remember well. But I am especially curious if there are already made studies with these formulas for different coins, so that i don't have to learn how to do them myself. Smiley

691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 13, 2017, 12:01:55 PM
Quote
Byteball is known, unfortunately, as an altcoin although it has completely different characteristics compared to bitcoin. But traders and speculators are the market makers here. They pumped byteball hard in June/July to profit from the hype and they made it.
This is not a good time for Byteball but this is another coin to hold
 Grin

I'm not too sure its reputation as an altcoin affects it as much as its reputation as an airdrop coin. I haven't confirmed it but I think GBYTE has got to be the worst affected coin since BTC began its rise in July/August. The skipped (totally understandable) airdrop definitely didn't help.

It was not just the skipped airdrop. It was also the drop in the Bitcoin:BB distribution ratio. The correction was inevitable once the airdrop (almost) ended, but I didn't expect such a drastic drop with the change in distribution formula.

Yes, as a matter of fact the market is now pricing in the end of the BTC-related airdrop. A huge drop was expected for the end of the airdrop in several months from now, but the changing of rules has anticipated this moment. Now we have to patient before a new equilibrium is reached.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 12, 2017, 11:39:21 AM
Was there an airdrop on the 5th of Oct?

Dev decided to skip this month, and will resume next month on Nov 4.

no airdrop and the coin went down all the time... looks like something is very wrong...

This is just the painful way in which what's wrong is getting corrected. The wrong thing is that there are sooo many people who have adopted Byteball only for short term speculation purposes, and they are now selling to those who are interested long term, who are less and so the price is tanking. At some point, in an either near or distant future, only holders will be left and price will raise again.

"in the beginning of october, we place an online registration page for the 3% airdrop. You have to registrate ONE TIME your BTX adress with a signed message."

I was away from this thread for some days, has this online registration page already been published? If not, any clues on when it will?

Honestly I have not read this topic. But the price is of course already a long time does not please investors think many coins already merged, and many still hold to the hope of growth. Of course time will increase, probably next year we'll see.

I also hope that Bancor to go up in value. I have bought many in the ICO and up to the moment have not gained anything with this coin. Too bad this.

Many investors have not read this "topic" (I guess they mean this thread) and most likely they did not read the whitepaper. This turns them into speculators, actually, playing in a casino with tokens which have no meaning to them. And of course they get worries if the value of their tokens tanks. Investors, on the other side, know that Bancor's project is a long term one, and even though they can't be pleased of the price tanking (I am not pleased), they are not too worried long term (I am not too worried).

How much time would you you have to spend on average to mine the POStoken? This is a crucial information in order to understand the real cost of mining it, since time is an asset as well and its consumption must be taken into account.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: October 12, 2017, 10:33:21 AM
The year 2018 will be the year WAVES! The DEX will dominate the possible trends and I don't see WAVES out of this "wave"! The price of $100 will be the minimum in 5 months! Governments are demanding, centralized exchanges are problems, WAVES will be great! Wink

This will be even more true if, as it seems, waves will get some positive attention from the Russian government. I've read they may be interested in using its token for some administrative purpose, if I understand well. Other countries may follow.

Guys is this Bancor Killer  Huh Huh Huh

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@kriptonoob/banks-are-old-bankex-making-new-financial-system-ico-part-i

Or they are aiming at other parts of the market?

This is a completely different concept. They aim at providing tokenization of assets, which is an inevitable step and many others will try to do the same. Bancor has a completely different mission. Bankex could even decide to use Bancor as a reserve, I guess.

Etherdelta is giving me a headache right now!

I lost over $10 trying to withdraw my POS tokens out of the ED smart contract so that I can put them in my wallet, but it keeps exceeding the 250000 gas limit and failing (and I can't change limit on ED, only the gas price). It's never exceeded the limit before tonight (and yes theres enough eth in the wallet to cover gas). I've tried with different prices and failed. Money down the drain, and POS tokens stuck in the smart contract. I'm pissed!!!

edit: 5 times now, failed each time. wtf!!!

Same issue here, just throwing money away trying to withdraw. Hope we will have something else soon besides etherdelta.

I have never really uderstaood how to use Etherdelta, very unpractical. Netter some other exchange.
