We are alive.
Cypher7A69
well ... the interpretation of alive is debatable ... 'we' ? ... its just YOU - and no one else ... we looked cyp a while back and actually had consideration for the backing of it - but since YOU prefer to screw people out of btc and all that is good - WE ( this is plural for more than ONE - in case you didnt know ) decided against working with a tarred coin and tarred dev ... had you actually been a decent person about it all - 'we' could have done something very big with this project ... but alas - you were not ... and as such - any and ALL the ideas and money and development has gone into granite ( grn ) instead ... you will soon see the background work and immense infrastructure we ( cwi ) have built and will be utilizing for the development and support of our coins - and others ... WE at CWI are alive and growing strong ... YOU have just come back from dead ... a walking zombie ... nothing more ... But but but bathrobehero told us Both CRAVE and CYPHER are pretty promising and there's place for both. Oh wait, neither shitcoin was promising, nor had a place in the crypto ecosystem. opinions are just that mate - opinions ... i have a lot of respect for bathrobehero - and that was his opinion at the time ... both crave - cypher - and in the beginning droidz - just to name a few coins - were all the same dev from what we can fathom ... so i totally agree with you regarding these coins ... innovation was the LAST thing on this rip-off devs mind when he first started all these coins - and all the others he ripped btc from also - let alone longevity of any of the projects he / she ( we assume its a he ) touched ... and so here we are again - thread reopened by the scamdev - and simply watching ... with the occasional post or comment ... victimofuktyranny admitted he has the lions share of the coins on the network - which is better than the scandev having them - but still means that unless there is actual innovation INSTEAD of talk and pretend pics of 'working' bracelets and crap - then this coin is as dead as when the scamdev started it ... unfortunate - as some of the ideas ARE doable and ARE actually nice ... gimmicky - but nice ... #crysx

Our team obtained many of the cryptocurrencies that were frozen on Cryptsy's servers when the exchange collapsed. The CypherCoin wallet.dat was among those recovered. We are now in the process of giving these wallet files back to their respective communities. The wallet has not been inspected and it's unknown if it contains any coins. If you are a developer of this coin, or a longstanding community member, you can file a request for the wallet in this thread: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3789.0

This coin has been developing for a long time, but its ranking seems not very good. After a very long time, the development team developed it, but it didn't seem to make great efforts to it.

Can someone tell me exactly what this coin does and why people would want it? Is it still alive? Has any progress been made recently?

We contacted Yobit many times but they don't respond. They have market open but their wallet is under maintenance. https://yobit.net/en/trade/CYP/BTCWe had a developer working on a new Cypher release but we have no news from him. This coin is going nowhere if no serious devs want to start working with us and holders.

This coin is going nowhere if no serious devs want to start working with us and holders. We wanted to a while back. But the original 'dev' and the stacking up of coins by one entity (no matter how 'nice' they are) means that unless there was a full redesign, there would be no sense in further development on the existing chain and systems. So we backed off a long time ago. So IF (and that is a BIG IF) there is a decent plan behind this coin, we will look at it again. Till then, there is no chance and 'decent' developer in his/her right mind would look at this coin and it's lop sided distribution, especially when the takeover would only mean 'working for nothing' and no chance of ever redeeming your work for coins. Just remember that the original scumbag that called himself a dev, took off with 73BTC with this coin. This means that control is in the hands of VERY few, if not just one. Not a good way to have anything decent done with this coin. #crysx

Plus, it have been heavily traded on Bittrex and others exchanges since the start. We don't see any evidence that the coin is in the hands of very few. The original dev gone since a long time. He rather don't hold a single coin. Our thought was to start a new release of this coin 50% POS/POW to allow new adopters to mine it again and hold it. I read your other posts on Bitcointalk. You and your team should be the right persons to revive Cypher.

Man, if we had access to Cypher7A69 account, we would use it instead of creating that one. We are just some early adopters that hold a small quantity of Cypher (< 200k) and a lot of other cryptos.

Then let's chat. Were you the ones that contacted us a while back? Regarding reimplementing a rebase and development ideas? I think we have spoken before - on slack from memory, though CWI now have a separate slack to the original one, so you can locate us there if you like. Skype is the main IM I use as I have very little issue with it on ANY device. #crysx
