What Is Experiencecoin?

Experiencecoin is a scrypt coin created to be used by gamers across the world. It's goal is to provide gamers the means to take their
networth/wealth from game to a completely different game, by converting what ever asset they have in one game into Experiencecoin,
then trading that Experiencecoin for gear, currency, services, characters, and/or accounts of another game. To learn more about how
this work checkout the Experiencecoin about page:  http://www.experiencecoin.org/about.html

What are Experiencecoin Features?

Total coins450,000,000,000
Block value17,500
Block target1 minute
Blocks to half the value12,800,000
Block Difficulty Calculation 60 seconds
Premined ~ 0.04% (less than 1%. Almost 0%)

450,000,000,000 Coins?!

EPC was designed with such a coin count, so that gamers who engage in trading, do not have to deal with decimal values.

Look at the issues bitcoin has with its low coin count. The issue has been significant enough, that they needed to create bits.

Now if you consider bits, then you are looking at 27,000,000,000,000 coins!

450*10^9 EPC VS 27,000*10^9 BITS

What Is Experiencecoin Strategy to become widely used?

Experiencecoin's growth will be support by promoting the coin in gaming communities, online forums, ebay, and gaming events.
In addition to promoting the the coin, Experiencecoin also has plans to release tools and websites that will help ensure that
users of the coins will have the means to utilize the currency to its full potential. The rate and release of each tool/website
will come about with the achievement of hitting popularity milestones.

Here is the current road map:

Popularity MilestoneReward
500A simple blockchain explore
5000A simple trading/exchange site similar
to craigslist
20000A ebay like trading/auction site with more
features and tools
50000Mob Apps that allow you to do all your
trading/auction right from your phone
> 100000TBD

As Experiencecoin continues to grow we will continue to create new milestones.

Experiencecoin compiling issues.

ONLY TAKE THESE STEPS IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES COMPILING!

The GitHub now has a new branch called "bdb51" setup.

To use this branch take the following steps:

Code:
git clone https://github.com/experiencecoin/experiencecoin.git

Code:
git checkout bdb51

Now you will be on the Berkeley DB5.1 branch, which will hopefully work now.

If you don't use Git, you can download the source ZIP here  https://github.com/experiencecoin/experiencecoin/archive/bdb51.zip

A reason we stick with BDB 5.3, which is what our current main wallets are, is that the latest version of Ubuntu no longer includes 5.1, so it'll be easier for users in the future to compile with 5.3 than 5.1.

Hi GoldenBTC, I am surprised you have such a harsh opinion about the coin. Could you provide me with some more information as to what lead you feel my coin is crap?

This looks very interesting. One question: What do the game developers think of this? For example, I notice on the website that World of Warcraft can trade into EPC. Does this reflect an actual arrangement with the WoW game developers, or is it just coding? In other words, could a compatible game later decide to not be compatible? Thanks in advance for the reply.
