It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Thank you for your support cryptonit!
I 'm now running EnergyCoin since 4 months, before I was more or less an investor with much ideas.
The original developer is disappeared since 5 months and left us with a broken block-chain and a crashed forum with no payments for webhosting block explorer VPS and so on. I was not aware so munch things to organize as a developer. The website we working on but much time is going to discussing with people about potential applications in the Netherlands. I have an informal team working on several potential applications. The coming months we know more sure which way we go with EnergyCoin. We have some crowdfunding ideas with a Energy smart metering and p2p trading Renewable energy but also some other interesting ideas we work on. If that is more clear we can launch the website with energytalk forum and blog.
The most important task is that we get much more shareholders in EnergyCoin with staking wallets 24/7 and a webshop where people can buy energy gadgets with their earned EnergyCoin.
A big task for the energy_team and for now I 'm the only face but if the roadmap is clear we introduce the members on the website.

There was  nice selloff and I got some extra ENRG.

Nice extra buy support, now more than 4 BTC!

If you look @ the order book only 4 BTC needed to reach 600 Satoshi levels.

I think EnergyCoin is undervalued but better slow and steady going up than 1000% in one day!

Next week I give presentation in Amsterdam @Bitcoinference

Good luck for the presentation. I'm inactive now but still reading and holding 1.5M
Thx I know you are a stable supporter.
We have now a team of 5 people working on the future of EnergyCoin.
I hope investors of EnergyCoin keep their coins now the exchange rate is up.
EnergyCoin is still very undervalued and we see big potential for Energy-saving and green Energy-trading applications with P2P-smart-contracts.

P2P-smart-contracts.

what technical path towards smart contracts u follow
u sit on a bitcoin 1.0 codebase without access to smart contracts

im interested because we at DMD Diamond evaluating paths since a few months

smart contract is fast announced but make it happen is a real difficult task

I know we change the specs of EnergyCoin.
Some team members are very skill full but more support is always welcome.

Btw maybe soon above 100 Satoshi if nobody dumping.
The potential of what we have in mind for EnergyCoin has much more value than 100 Satoshi!

Hi,

I tried to install new (1.3.0) version (Win version, enerqycoin-qt v130 (win).zip). When extract and run energycoin-qt.exe, it fails with error "Error loading blkindex.dat". I tried to run this exe file exactly from user EnergyCoin directory (under Documents and Settings), where the blkindex.dat file is present and visible, but still no luck.

Version 1.1.3 works fine (even there is no mined block for last ca 5 days).

Hi KloMEM,

I think you running under XP?
We try boodstrap
Can you copy all the files and database folder into a backup folder.
Then delete blkindex.dat, database folder and the *.log files.
rename blk0001.dat into boodstrap.dat
start the 1.3.0 version
It takes a long time but you see then blkindex.dat growing in size if this procedure is working.

Not staking is because there was a wallet online with very mature coins.
Even my wallet with big blocks was not staking so much the past few days.
You can see the difficulty was high https://chainz.cryptoid.info/enrg/#!overview and now going down.

Can you post if this procedure was working or not?
If not then we try something else.
Succes,
Jan

Oh, I don't know. When I run this wallet on my P4 3 Ghz HT system ( Windows XP pro ) I never have an issue and I do not even know its running it's that smooth.

I don't doubt people are having issues, but I think it might be time to put some work into finding issues between the wallet and running programs on the systems that are having issues. Could even be drivers or other issues with the problem systems but I have to believe that if it works on a P4 smoothly it can work on just about anything smoothly.

As far as staking problems, I stake maybe a bit too much, so I have nothing to offer as an idea as to why staking for some would be a problem.

knip..

Jan the wallets are shit lol

I think the user experiance can be better but changing the wallet costs BTC what I have not so much yet.
All the development is paid from my own private money  and so less donations for
- Block explorer
- Wallet 1.3
- MacOSX wallet
- 2 VPS servers
Webaddresses and so much more.
I 'm not complaining I have a great plan and working very hard to try finding real world implementation for EnergyCoin.
Maybe I have 2 much idea's to make it happen very quick and people are sceptic and waiting not acting.

I know you invested much into new coins, EnergyCoin is your oldest investment.
The EnergyCoin BlockChain is growing and therefore we need better and more efficient software but for most investors the software is just working fine.
I always try to help if someone has a problem with the wallet and you see below a link with the backup of my EnergyCoin BlockChain.

Thank you for your support Harcon!
I have no problemes with my wallets.
Ok I had the same problem when I came back home from my holyday "Error loading blkindex.dat"
I was caused by power down during thunderwether.
I starded with a backup EnergyCoin BlockChain and now everting is working fine.

You can download my latest EnergyCoin BlockChain Blackup:
https://filesender.surf.nl/index.php?vid=6438623c-77fc-efa9-aa93-00004bb92ab6

If someone has isues with the wallet just ask my and I try to help fix them.
In near future we maybe redisign the wallet software but not after we have an application for EnergyCoin.

I,m sorry to hear that a new wallet isn,t the 1st priority,I like the whole concept of what you want to do with this coin and i have
been in this coin for a long time, sadly the wallet is a resourse pig on my computer (not just 1 computer i have tried on several i have),
i would like to support the network ,but as lovethecoins pointed out "this is ENERGYcoin yet this is the least efficient wallet I have running" is true with me
aswell and i have 1 computer devoted to just that wallet.not saying it has to be the most efficient wallet but it needs to better than it is.

I'm sorry to hear some people have problems running the wallet. Maybe when you have more wallets running it is a bad wallet. I'm aware that the wallet is not the most efficient one I know. I asked one of the developers to make a plan and an estimate of the costs to improve the wallet.

Another thing, it looks there is a solid floor on Bittrex @70 Satoshi but many sell orders keep coming. If you look @ the distribution there is one wallet growing very big, 8M ENRG now. I know the owner and he want to invest for long and I hope he moves his coins soon from Bittrex and supports also the network. The network is now relative stable with 17 nodes online. I hope these are stable nodes and not just online to sell ENRG on Bittrex now the rate has a nice level but if you want to sell your coins will be absorbed by the new investor.

Have a nice day,
@GEO_Jan
