Recently, something has changed in the coin mining algorithm. This is very noticeable. Before that, mining was more constant, but now ...Expected time to earn reward is 1 hour(s). The last mined block was 7 hours ago. There are pauses in production and more and then there is a faster mining 1-2 hours. Then the cycle repeat. I did not observe such a big difference in time for the extraction of blocks before.

   The fact what the changed algorithm mining confirmed by the transactions in the Krex 24 exchange. Prior to this, it was enough to receive 8 out of 50 confirmations to start trade with a coin. Today we need to wait for 50 confirmations out of 65. Then the transaction confirmations stop at 50 out of 65. Where did the 65 confirmations come from?  This is similar to hidden network mining algorithm or mistake in algorithm. From which so much and see the drop in yield on the mining. My yield fell just at these same 30-40% That's a coincidence?

And if that was the case and nobody realizes that there was a change in the algorithm, that would probably mean the blockchain stops going forward as no more blocks could be found.

The clients decide the blockchain direction in effect, it wouldn't stop.   If people never switch it will just continue on the existing standard, you can find the information for what percentage of people are using what client version usually.

Internet famously was invented to work even after an earthquake, by routing traffic around various failures.    Years back now but I have sent live traffic, telnet links from Europe to North america when the trans-Atlantic link had been severed and the packets were sent on the long trip pan global via Japan, multiple continents and it still worked.    Not ideal but it worked, its a great design and that kind of fail safe to operate no matter what is respected and continued in ideas like what ENRG uses.   We're all using technology greater then we realise and I think POS is resilient and will pass the test of time imo
