True, but it's just a largely meaningless rank at the end of the day.

Not necessarily. It does count for a lot when it comes to transacting on here. No newbie will be taken seriously.

Many of the old members aren't taken seriously either:-)

Indeed. It's all about track record. If you have a long and good one that's a powerful tool.

That's because newbies are likely to be sock or scam accounts.
A legendary or hero member will always be taken more seriously.
I don't trade with anybody on here any way but I don't think I would with anybody below hero member status without positive trade feedback.

But it keeps dragging along.

cost of the account depends on account rank and current demand of them as well as available signature campaigns

Hello. I'm just curious to know...

whats the going rate for each level of bitcointalk account?

Jr. Member
Full Member
Hero Member
Legendary Member etc etc.

I think you can't ask the price like that because its so variaties and it depends from the post, activity and some trust too, so you need to find by yourself and need to offer them if not you are going to be charged higher then usual

and also depends from the seller, I guess if seller need fast money, they'll sell it for lower price... Cheesy

It feels a bit off selling it, since its like two years of your life, cant imagine why would people sell it for few bitcoins.

cheers

but if there is no other choice it was possible, for example when people were in need of money for something more worthwhile

people are allowed to sell accounts on the forum? That seems a bit shady, no?

Not managing signature campaigns anymore.

I think they will stop in this bitcoin things or may be he already got a lot of profit from bitcoin so he wants to sell his account for us to join signature camapaign. But its a little bit pity to sell their precious account

I dont think so. There are rules where people can sell their account here in this forum. It doesnt break the rules

The rate depend the rank that u want buy. For Jr. Member i think no one wanna but it.
People wanna buy when the rank reach Full Member, The rate around 0.05.
For higher rank ofcourse high rate than Full Member rank.

Why that should be ridiculous? That is fair for buying and selling account? What the problem with it? Nowadays people buying account to get their signature campaign and there got minimal may be full member. If there are no rules like that we can't even participate in signature campaign and need to create a full member account. That is just wasting time

lol whats not ridiculous about it? its not just buying account, its about also buying trust involved in particular account. Any bought account shouldnt be taken seriously.
but im guessing the account sales will drop along with prices, since theres a bunch of account hoarders, with even 50+ accounts that are farmed just to be sold, and as soon as they get ranked up, its bye bye to
that market, atleast in an noticable amount.

I guess OP already got his answer!

I personally have never seen a Legendary account for sale. I'd imagine people would pay 2 or more bitcoins for one.

did bitcoin prices influence the price bitcointalk account?
i only ever read from an old thread and compare the current price, and differences price is quite striking

Possibly. When the price of Bitcoin is dirty cheap like it was 2 months ago, users were on that grind to rack up as much BTC as they could so they could store for profits. Was annoying as hell.
