The amount of time a Hero account takes to be achieved should be taken into consideration. It's double that of a Senior and Senior accounts are very common whereas Heroes a lot less so. It wouldn't really make much sense to sell a Hero for only 20% more than a Senior but it's all down to what people are willing to sell them for at the end of the day.

it's all depends on the activity more than the rank itself, because a senior with 500 activity isn't a senior with 250, the latter is far away but the first is basically an hero in disguise

Hero Member - 480
I thought that was how it went down, I may be wrong but pretty sure I'm not?

No you're perfectly correct. It's all posted in here anyway: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0.

I would think activity and post history are major determining factors of price rather than simply just account rank.

No, his numbers are correct, though you'll get 252 activity once the period updates for a Senior and 490 for a Hero.

Aside from rank, rep and trust matters. Those with green +trust would imo have better value.

That is true but I don't trade so I'll never have any trust, positive or negative.
I just buy & hodl, always have, I'm waiting for a day hopefully in the future when we go to the moon.
I'm trustworthy though, I'd never scam anybody, I don't need to.
I'll never have any trust though so how would that value my account (it's not for sale).
It's pathetic, the stories I mainly see are people scamming others on unpaid loans for pathetic amounts.
Why scam, nobody will ever do business with you again.

There are plenty of people buying and selling them over in the Digital Goods section. One guy is wanting to buy accounts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1068000.0;topicseen

People wont buy low-level accounts like yours though so you'll need to achieve a higher rank.

i guess who really wanna make a good income ,reaching higher levels here will go forward signatures campaign as they are paying a fair money as the rank,i wouldnt sell my account now and for sure never when i reach a high level.. why my income can easy become 0.50btc montly soo why i would ask 2 btc for it since i am active and i can make it in lets say 4 months and keep earnings if i sell it i will start from 0 again ,it could be good to sell the account but i guess no one wanna pay 2 btc for an account even hero....since alone can reach it in the meantime will collecting funds till reach those rank

how much will a member account go for ?

It depends on supply & demand, also each case is different as the price a seller is happy with will vary.
My estimate over what I've seen is something like this -

Jr. Member : 0.003BTC - 0.005BTC
Member : 0.01BTC - 0.05BTC
Full Member : 0.1 - 0.25BTC
Senior Member : 0.3BTC - 0.5BTC
Hero Member : 0.7BTC - 2BTC

Those numbers are probably off by quite a bit. People have been selling Full Members for 0.07, Seniors for around 0.2 and Heroes for about 0.4-0.5 recently.

There are so many people sell jr. Member out there.
And easy to reach jr. Member status, not spend a lot time and activities.

That's why jr. Member price is so low. Back to economic law, price will drop if there are so many supply and less demand.
Better to wait until full member instead selling it on jr. Member status.

I have a Jr. Member account which has only 30+ posts, but potential activity is 84 and so it may be Full Member in a month, would 0.02 BTC be a reasonable price?

it is very simple to give a real cost for an account based on activity , notice how activity is double in each rank? then just take hero, which is sold for 0.5 and divide by two every time

or for every 1 activity count 0.001 btc(based on current price of course, so it may not be true anymore if bitcoin skyrocket)

so hero 0.480, senior 0.24, full member 0.12 and so on

in your case, 0.084 would be about right, 0.02 is definitely too low, i would not sell it for that tiny amount, ever...especially with current btc price

Those prices you quoted are the lowest they usually go for I think. Decent quality accounts with good posts tend to go for much more. There seems to be a seller trying to sell Heroes for 1btc at the moment, though I'm sure he'll get lower offers.
