Some of you may have taken the liberty a while back and did some research on SurfAir and found the following:

Surf Air, a new membership-based air service providing short jaunts between California hot spots like Palo Alto, Monterey, Santa Barbara and L.A., has just closed its Series A. And look who invested: Jared Leto, noted actor/musician/entrepreneur. Leto has already launched three businesses – The Hive, The One and Only Golden Tickets, and Vyrt – so he’s no stranger to the startup scene at this point. But his investment in this potentially disruptive new airline should turn some heads. (Actor/investor is the new actor/director, apparently.)

It's at this point that I want to go on record by stating that currently I have no reason to believe that Jared Leto is directly affiliated with any Bitcoin entity, including Bitcoinica or pairateat40's alleged Ponzi. But if I do find such a strong connection, I will publish it. That said, please bear with me as I outline why Jared Leto is important to the the presentation of this exposé.


Now I will connect the dots to Pirate.

You may be asking yourself how an image of a purposely overweight actor has anything to do with two recent episodes involving Bitcoin. I, too, asked myself the same question when the image of first introduced. After firing up Google image search (used to use Tineye a couple years ago, but forgone that practice), I stumbled upon this revelation.

The following image will aid in how Jared Leto entered into the fuller scheme of things.

In Zack's circle on Google+, we find Charles Lauzon who uses the following image as his avatar.



Interesting, to say the least, that a person of Charles' (Charly, Charley, Chuck) stature would choose such an avatar, but he did, and currently I have no idea as to why.

On March 24, 2009 (this may be my first oops! moment on this thread, but let's please continue), Charles Lauzon stopped by this meetup group to pen the following.

Most likely, BitCoin was added prior to Bitcoiners using the more common spelling--Bitcoin.

Granted, there are several talking points within this post that possibly merit further discussion, but I guess I need to cut to the chase and present my closing argument.

Why don't you guys just pull together 50 bucks and hire a process server to find all the Trendon Shavers in Texas?

If you get an address and it leads to a $100,000 house with a Lamborghini in the driveway with a license plate that says "PR8AT40", you'll be on to something.  Barring that, you'll be stuck trying to make these online connections such as this one, which are spider-silk thin, at best.

My house is $400k and it's a dump ....and I only have an old Skyline GT-R parked at it....LOL
