Progress is being made regarding the additional 3 nodes.
All nodes are going to be super fast superseed nodes which will stay up forever to keep the GP network as strong as can be!

I am delighted to announce that GP is now the official sponsor of indie point and click adventure game " Captain Disaster in Death Has a Million Stomping Boots", which has been in production for some time and will hopefully be released around the end of 2015 (though harsh experience precludes me from making any definite promises on the release date!  ) Captain Disaster is a comedy science fiction game with cartoony graphics, fully voiced and scored, and rather heavily inspired by my personal taste in comedy science fiction - Red Dwarf, Hitchhikers and Futurama in particular - and adventure games - mainly the LucasArts classics. The plot revolves around a package delivery by the hapless captain turning out to be something that will put the entire galaxy in question. Though it's rather old and not entirely representative of the quality of the final game, you may enjoy the Playable Demo. Here are some screenshots from the most recent build (please note these will not necessarily be the final screens as we are revamping some locations): Searching for a job:

HyperFuture beat me to it - this is a single-player game so you won't be able to use currency in-game. HyperFuture beat me to it - this is a single-player game so you won't be able to use currency in-game. I wasn't really thinking of "using" currency in game, by that I would assume you mean being able to deposit into it or something. I am more of a single-playered gamer myself over MMO's. No need to apologize and it doesn't seem less interesting. I used to love Roberta Williams' games, like whodunit's/ LauraBow series, and the King's Quest series. I would think if there was a game like those, once you got to certain "chapters" maybe you could earn GoldPieces. In a way similar to a faucet, you put your address in, play the game, and get payouts after you hit certain "goalposts" or "levels" throughout the game. But obviously you could only do it once or you'd know how to do it everytime. But if something like that could be done, maybe it could be like King's Quest (which had 8 games in the series), and just continue on with new games after you beat each one. |

That's an interesting idea... I'll have to chat to my programmer to see if AGS would be capable of something like that. I'd certainly like to make it possible to at least buy the games using GP / HYPER, which should certainly be possible (well definitely I know the HYPER store is fully operational - sorry I don't know much about GP just yet!) |

Unfortunately not. The HYPER Mac wallet turned out to be quite buggy and I don't have the funds to pay a full-time Mac developer for HYPER or GP. If you know a Mac dev that would like to volunteer to build a Mac GP wallet (and perhaps even help update the HYPER Mac wallet) please let me know.

Updated the OP with some more information about why I am working on GP as well as HYPER, as I think there has been some confusion: HYPERfuture (me) was asked to rescue GP as the original dev had abandoned it, and as most of you know I am extremely passionate about both cryptocurrency and gaming. I also hate to see people invest their time and money into a cryptocurrency which the head developer then abandons. GP has been used in RPGs since the pen and paper DnD days as the in-game currency, and when the GP community asked me to rescue this coin I immediately saw the potential and agreed. Since then I have already organized a handful of GP games with a lot more happening behind the scenes, particularly in terms of online RPG's that will support full GP integration, including Dragon Knights of Valeria that already offers full GP integration: http://dknight.ml |

Yeah, I was going to say, it doesn't list the 54.148.124.35 one, since that is a list of the nodes that one node sees. There should be 12 in all (because the list has 11) listed in the conf file. |

Thanks MMH. Yes this is true everyone please add the 54 server to your conf as well. A number of people have contacted me expressing interest in running more GP games. Haven't heard from the GPRPG.com dev for a while, but it will be happening one way or another! Will have more news and updates soon. If anyone reading this wants to run an online RPG or a multiplayer steam game server that integrates GP please contact me to discuss bounties and your ideas. I want to support as many awesome GP games as possible and any ideas are welcome! |

I suggested fortunejack to look at GPs and maybe consider using it in the future. If some more people could ask that would be great. I really thinkg some gambling place would really help.

Dragon Knights of Valeria now has a GP rainbot added to the chat. Every 10 minutes the system will randomly select one player who has made a chat post and award them GP. Players are also able to donate directly into the rainbot's balance using their in-game GP. Players are also able to donate GP directly to 3 random players who have made a post within the last 50 chat messages.
