New GP windows wallet download link: http://hypercrypto.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/GoldPieces33win.rar

Will upload another mirror too shortly. OP has also been updated.

I will be securing a new GP domain soon, so we can have the new GoldPieces website on its own domain.

Downloaded the wallet but it won´t start to sync.

Any ideas?

You can try adding this to GoldPieces.conf:
Code:
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
maxconnections=1024
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=23461
addnode=104.131.17.78
addnode=198.199.94.134

My GP wallet is syncing fine though and super fast - please try leaving the wallet on and it will start syncing after a little while. The first time you open the wallet it may need a few minutes, up to 15 minutes even or more, to find the nodes.

Do you have other wallets on your PC as well that are working? If it doesn't start syncing after being open for 15 minutes your firewall may be blocking GP.

I will get some more nodes up soon as well, not that this is 100% necessary as the network is fine but it will help people connect to the nodes and network faster.

EDIT: please keep me updated as well on how it goes for you!

I am having the same issue.  Unable to sync.  I'm using the .conf file as well and have left the wallet open for several hours and don't get any connections.

That's really strange as my wallet right now is synced up fine and has 4 connections to the network. I'm even staking some GP as I type this.

Are you using windows? Is your firewall software blocking GP from connecting?

Please give me some more information as I want to solve this issue for you ASAP.

I'm also going to get 3 more GP nodes deployed ASAP as well.

Yes I am using windows and no my firewall isn't blocking the qt from connecting.  I have dozens of other wallets synced and running fine.

I closed my other wallets thinking maybe I had another wallet trying to share the same port but that wasn't the problem either.

Not sure what the deal is, I've synced over 200 qt's in the past year and not sure what this one won't connect lol.

Do me a favor, go into your qt console and call 'getpeerinfo' and list some of the peers you have listed with your connections.

List all 4 if you are connected to 4 peers.

Once he shares his peers we can add them to our .conf and should all get synced.

Do me a favor, go into your qt console and call 'getpeerinfo' and list some of the peers you have listed with your connections.

List all 4 if you are connected to 4 peers.

Allright I got 4 nodes!

Code:
"addr" : 68.246.2.180:23462

"addr" : 199.68.199.33:23462

"addr" : 70.173.102.143:23462

"addr" : 92.222.38.197:23462

My wallet is still syncing and staking fine. I'll update the recommended .conf in the OP as well.

Will also get a few more nodes deployed ASAP.

EDIT new recommended .conf settings:

Code:
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
maxconnections=1024
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=23461
addnode=104.131.17.78

Thanks.  That did the trick.. Now others will need to add those nodes as well who aren't already connected to one or more of those peers.  It's also possible there might be some people on some forks but if you update the .conf file on the ANN people will get caught up.

I suggest regularly updating the ANN .conf file with new peers from time to time and removing old ones as well unless there are a lot of people on the network and theres been a long period of stability.

I may as well remove those first 2 dead nodes from the recommended .conf now.

I have just forked the original GoldPieces repo in preparation for the work we will be doing on GP to lower the max coins, add a superseed node, and alter the staking: https://github.com/HYPERcrypto/GoldPieces

This will now be the official GP repo on GitHub

A new GP wallet version with a hard coded superseed node should be out within a week max.

The rest of the fork changes will take place at a later date and will keep you all updated.

The staking did not work as the original dev intended (as there is some code that means that no matter how much GP someone is staking, they can only get 2.5 GP per block). So the max supply will be much less than 3.8 million by January 2016. Only about 100 000  GP has been staked in the last 6 months because of this issue that the original dev did not see or plan for when he made the estimate.

There will be a fork that will fix the staking so there is no cap on how much GP can be staked at once, but this will also raise inflation which is why there will also be a cap of 1.5 million coins introduced to make sure GP remains valuable.

One of the unintended consequences of the staking 2.5 GP cap is that it has actually kept inflation very low which is a good thing.

That is why we have a new thread now!

Hello players of Dragon Knight,

The withdrawal system in game has been completely redesigned. Here are the changes that were made.

1. Players can now set/remove their addresses for each coin.
2. Players can now view their pending/paid coins via their profile.
3. Some other minor changes.

If you have previously withdrew coins then your withdrawal profile is already set up. If you haven't withdrawn any coins yet then you will have to follow the message displayed for you when you go to the withdraw page.

Setup for your withdrawal account is instant and just takes a click of your mouse to complete. After your account is set up you can then set your coin addresses as well as exchange your DP for the currency of your choice.

Is it still going to be 500% annual interest or is that changing?  Curious because when you factor in compounding, removing the 2.5 GP cap and maintaining the 500% annual interest can bring us from the current supply to 1.5 million GP VERY quickly.

You don't strike me as the type of guy to half-ass anything, so I assume you are thinking ahead and making sure any parameters you choose will function fine for many years to come, but thought I'd ask.

Hello players of Dragon Knight,

The second update of the day has seen the following changes to the in-game upgrade system.

1. VIP players can now get 3 turns per minute with a cap of 150 turns.
2. VIP price has been increased to 20,000 DP for future players. Those that already have VIP will automatically receive these bonuses.
3. VIP+ prices have been adjusted slightly to get closer to the standard price mark.
4. ULT upgrade has now been added.

ULT Upgrade bonuses

(ULT) Tag
HYPER Crown in memberlist and top 10 rankings
1000 Dragon Points and 10,000 gold daily
6 turns/min
300 max turns
Ads removed
7 item slots
5,000 Dragon Point bonus on upgrade
4x the normal Dragon Points for defeating bosses and monsters.

If you are already VIP+ you can upgrade to ULT for the price of ULT minus what you paid for VIP+. For example if you paid 68 HYPER for VIP+ you would then only have to send 112 HYPER for the upgrade instead of 180.

The next update will be pretty expansive, keep an eye out for it ;]

Hey thanks man. Exactly, it is not 500% now (due to the 2.5 GP cap) and it will never be that high. The fork is coming soon, but theoretically thanks to the weird code-base we could go on like this for  few years, but the fork is coming within a few months Wink The new parameters will be 2.5% per month max. but may make it lower than that. Will probably let the community decide by opening voting in the thread as I do.

I have done the maths but to be honest I am having an awesome weekend and need to run the numbers again Wink

My no.1 priority is keeping GP valuable and it will always be this way. Last time I ran the numbers it was 2.5 % per month for a few years till we hit 1.5 million supply.

Without sounding biased I recommend everyone buys as much GP as possible before we launch all the games we are working on.
