What is going to be the estimated price for a minebox?

It's around $800.

How many Sia I can get with one such minebox with current difficulty?

Please peep the March 2017 update and roadmap which Taek released yesterday. Included are plans for instant wallet unlocking, host upgrades and renter upgrades. Link for the update ---> http://forum.sia.tech/topic/896/march-2017-update-roadmap

The roadmap will now be an ongoing project.  It's a public Trello board, listing all of the current activities and future planned activities. The board can be accessed via this link ---> https://trello.com/b/Io1dDyuI/sia-public-roadmap

Happy hosting all!! Smiley

Huh, supply is completely irrelevant when talking about marketcap. Inflation maybe.

It could be the cryptocurrency of 2017, easy. Maybe some not buy because of the big amount of Siacoin. But they soon will!!!

I am picking up everything i can. It will be a top 15 coin. Just a matter of time.

Good things on the horizon for Sia...

I made a speculation thread for anyone who is interested:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1836426.0

It has a chart which I will be frequently updating as well as a brief description of why I think Siacoin is about to go ballistic.

Risk versus reward is still excellent at 50 satoshi.

Goes down 20 percent - big deal .. lose a little. Get out if needed.
But if this is "It".... then 200-500 percent gains far outweigh the small risk.

Just saw somewhere over the social media nice words about Sia which drive me to this thread to find out more about on going developments and updates. A huge investment being on way to take this market up can't be excluded. Sia looks amazing and ready to take off.

Best place to get in touch with the Sia team is on our slack, which is a lot more active than here. https://slackin.sia.tech

We also have a public roadmap available here: https://trello.com/b/Io1dDyuI/sia-public-roadmap

may be sia need work hard to catch up storj.

It seems many people are interested in the comparison of Sia and Storj. I don't think Sia looks Storj as a competitor. Sia only looks the centralized clouds as the competitors such as Amazon S3. The goal of Sia is to over take Amazon S3.

If you really want to compare these two projects, the best way to do so is to check their github activities and run these two softwares to figure it out yourselves.

If you don't know how to check the github activities and you are too lazy to run the softwares you have to rely on other people's opinions. But you still can choose to rely on some reliable sources with data and facts which other people have aggregated. You need data and facts, not just words. Here are some reliable sources for you to refer to:

https://www.coingecko.com/en (projects ranking and pay attention to the Delevoper column)

www.coinmarketcap.com (marketcap ranking)

https://thecontrol.co/meet-sia-a-user-owned-amazon-s3-challenger-that-lets-you-rent-out-your-extra-disk-space-fa9da6ff9223#.9mrlonvf7 (in the middle of this article, there is a nice graph with data to compare Sia, storj, and maidsafe)

on coingecko even dodgecoin which is mostly dead and no development is being done , still scores a healthy 72% in the developer column, how do you explain that?
