My coin is stored in sia mobile and sice the wallet keep giving error message, i downloaded window wallet and it all syned now (block 138242 now)

But when i tried to restore the wallet by entering the seed words and after waiting for few hours for the wallet to search the blockchain, the wallet then ask for password. I put the password i normally use but keep getting this message:

error when calling /wallet/unlock: provided encryption key is incorrect

What went wrong? Is there any other alternative?

There are 2 possible reasons for that error message:

- The seed you are introducing is incorrect. Check that you are not truncating any word, that you are not adding extra spaces, that you are not introducing a line break in the sequence of words (if you are copy/pasting).

- Your UI is already associated to another seed, so Sia says the seed is incorrect because it is expecting another seed. If this is the case, delete your current wallet folder after closing completely Sia. In Windows, the wallet is located on C:/Users/your_user/appdata/roaming/Sia-UI/sia

If a single user is excluded from network somehow, wouldn't that make a lot of stored data corrupted?

With "user" I guess you mean a host. Each file is chunked and distributed among 30 hosts with 3x redundancy. The Reed-Solomon algorithm ensures that even if any 20 of those hosts are offline, the remaining 10 will be able to reconstruct the file.

You need to keep an uptime of 97% or more and keep the integrity of the files. If as a host you don't fulfil this requirement you lose your collateral and the potential profit from the file contracts. For renters it is  not an issue if some hosts fail. Read my answer to the other user above this one.

There is no minimum for mining, obviously. You can start mining with 0.

Probably you are getting confused with hosting. Hosts need a minimal collateral budget of 2000SC to start hosting.

Hello There is still a price difference between Bittrex and Poloniex so at least in the short term there are small percentage gains buying on Poloniex and selling on Bittrex.  Either there was someone holding down the price or more sellers on Poloniex but that is over now.

I would say that the Wallets on Bittrex and on hitbtc and any other exchange that is higher than poloniex because they want to keep anyone from buying on one exchange say poloniex at $.06 and selling it at hitbtc at $.15 into btc and sending it back to poloniex and doing it again. Poloniex wallet is running just fine but it is also trading at the lowest price.

Everything you want to know about SIA you can find here https://sia.tech/about/ from what I remember(My memory sucks lol) you have to have (X)amount of Sia in an account for every 1TB of space you want to share. You will create a contract and set an amount of time say 12wks. You have to keep your computer up and running for the length of the contract that you agreed to. If for any reason you decide to shut down early then you will be penalized by paying in Siacoin. But if you uphold your end of the contract you make (X)amount of Siacoin witch if I remember right you set how much you want to charge. As far as if your computer was to say crash and you lost everything the person(s) that was renting space from you would not lose there stuff because its not only being stored on your system it is backed up on several systems kind of like a Raid or backup of the backup if that makes sense. Now don't quote me on this I'm just trying to go buy memory from what I've read in the past. Hope this helps out some. Visit the website I posted above to find out more info on it. When restoring wallet using seed, it will overwrite the passwords right? Keep getting message wallet must be unlocked before use

Update about the issues in different exchanges (statement from the official Discord):

The Sia team has been actively working to fix some of the underlying issues that have recently affected the exchanges.  They are working on new algorithms for rebroadcasting transactions on the blockchain (PR #2611, #2599, #2598), have added an API endpoint for confirmed transactions (PR #2614), and have added new regression tests for the wallet’s transaction output (PR #2608, #2601).  The team is well aware of the exchange issues and these improvements are in support of a long-term fix, rather than a band-aid.  You can follow the development progress on GitHub, or stay up to date via reddit at https://www.reddit.com/r/siacoin/comments/7ld1ic/siacoin_exchange_issues_megathread/.

Please remind the hardfork on block 139.000 (in about 19 days) will not generate a second coin (no "airdrop"). This fork will be non-contentious, it is just a protocol upgrade aimed to correct a bug in the mining difficulty. All the infrastructure (mining pools, exchanges, services) and users are upgrading to version 1.3.1, so the legacy blockchain will be abandoned.

If you have coins already on an exchange there is nothing to do, as they have already upgraded. If you hold your coins in the Sia-UI client just be sure it is updated to version 1.3.1. Even if it is in an outdated client or in cold storage you'll still keep your coins as long as you keep your recovery seed: at any time in the future you just have to install an updated client and use your seed to access your funds

In the final wallet, will there be a default suggested fee for giving away space storage? Otherwise, how should we know the value of the space storage that one would share?

Yes, there is a default listed on the "Hosting" page. The field is misleading though, because it says SC, when it's actually "base units" (1/10^24th of a SC). So the current default (1000000000) is actually a very small fraction of 1 SC. This value will likely be changed once we're off the testnet.

This value is automattically adjust with a base multiplier with unit of (1/(MB*day))? Im not so sure how fee to share data space will be done.

And what is the time percentage a host need to be online in order to be paid? I mean surely downtime are allowed, but what is the threshold.
