Over already? ffs god save crypto

Only we can save altcoins. But hey, the herd doesn't care about anything in the real world so they dont care about anything here.
Last two years i used to get excited about new coins, now i dont touch them unless they prove to be successful. This strategy surely saving me some trouble, time and money as well  Smiley

As anyone with eyes can see the dev still has the premine in one input. Even those new to the game understand this coin is fine and has big potential. The amount of FUD being spewed by sockpuppets and sharks hammers that home dont be fooled. Hang on to these coins.

I added the pool nodes, but still stuck at 500. Anyone able to sync to same chain with the pools?

If every coin that ever had a fork was then dead we'd have no coins left. If you let fud dictate what you do then you need to quit and go do something else.

Ok thanks, I guess it just takes a really long time to sync, I'll wait.

I managed to sync to the same chain with the pools by blocking the hardcoded seednodes in windows hosts file.
It is just a temporary workaround until dev fixes the nodes but at least i am synced

Oh man.  I'm sorry I was away.

Ok, for what it's worth, the nodes are not forked. Both nodes are on the same fork and never went out of sync with each other. The pools forked from the nodes.

With that said, nobody is mining off the nodes at the moment. It's all POS. Given that mining hardware is more expensive than just keeping a wallet open and staking at this point, and that it's the miners that worked through the forking issue together, I've decided to resync the official node chains to the pools.

People that were connected to the main chain will need to close their wallets, delete their blockchains (backup your wallets!) and resync with the network.

Please use the pools as addnodes in your genstake.conf file.

addnode=gen.suprnova.cc
addnode=gen.binpool.com
addnode=node1.genstake.com
addnode=node2.genstake.com

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully things will be stable from here on in, but I wont be leaving my desk again anytime soon.

Hey guys,

its really a big PITA keeping the pool in sync with the network, its not really working at all.

Please move over to the remaining pools, i'll stop stratums on suprnova for this coin soon since its forking too much.

Thanks !

EDIT: Oh an Dev, please remove Suprnova from the OP ! Thanks

Removed pools as requested.

Looking into forking issue. The nodes are staying in sync without any issue. The trouble comes because they're banning peers they don't agree with:\ Then when people connect to eachother instead of the nodes that banned them, they run off on their own fork.

Before I resynced there was well over a dozen people staking fine on the nodes. So staking works fine on its own, but mining pools connecting to eachother and blocking the nodes (same cause, they agree with each other, not the nodes) keeps creating new forks.

I think it has something to do with the heavy hashrates, short time between blocks, and the huge weight that coins are generating very quickly while staking difficulty is still trying to build up and stablize. Lots of staking blocks coming all at once before difficulty ramps up.

Ok, I'm going to leave the coin running. Anyone having issues connecting to the network be sure to delete your blockchains (save your wallet.dat) and put the following in your conf files

connect=node1.genstake.com
connect=node2.genstake.com

and resync your chain. It will take some time, but with those 'connects' you wont fork. Once things are stable we'll see how mining goes again. Obviously I don't expect pools that have dropped to take a chance on us again after this, but it'll be worth testing later and I'm pretty sure it'll work once staking ramps up and stablizes.

I'm sorry for all the difficulties. And I'm sorry to everyone that lost coins by the resync to the pools. We lost a ton of coins from that too.
