Hello everyone, I am looking to get into Bitcoin and since it is hard to meet someone in my area to trade cash for Bitcoin, I am selling a $100 Amazon physical gift card with a scratch-off pin that I bought at a grocery store (paid in cash).

My asking price is $95 as I want this to be basically a straight transfer (slightly better deal than buying from Gyft.com.

If you are interested, please send me a message. Since I'm new here we could work out escrow or if you have good feedback I might be willing to send the code first. Cheers  Smiley

EDIT: Here are a couple images of the receipt/card:
EDIT: Sold!

You can sell amazon gift cards at purse.io
Its easy to sell over there. Also you won't have a risk of scammers.

Gismo28 refused to use btcrow.com for escrow and wanted to use an escrow agent on bitcointalk instead... find escrows here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0;all

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Looks to me like you both are misunderstanding each other, lol.

I can recommend you two this Escrow service. It's by Master-P (a bitcointalk member). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=932294.0 It has no fee for a 2-party transaction and he has good testimonials.

In any case, I would use an escrow when dealing with Gismo28 as well as the OP. Full member is not "high ranked", just because someone is higher rank than you doesn't mean you need to go first. More often than not, the "lower ranked" user gets scammed because of this misconception.

Although escrow wouldn't protect the buyer in the future if the amazon code does turn out to have been purchased fraudulently.

Sure, the site is up but when you go to create an account it will tell you the server is down.

And yes, we did misunderstand each other and I'm certainly not a scammer, just didn't know of the escrow services directly on the BTC talk.

"We couldn't handle out a fair price!"
That's funny, this is my first time hearing it. You never lowered your offer, you just said your "client" was no longer interested. Hoping someone else is interested that is actually serious about buying.. just send me a PM.

OP, just a suggestion.  You might want to hand write your forum name across the receipt and card you are showing in your photos because anyone can find images like that.  By writing your name on both items it would make them at least seem more legit and prove in a small way they are actually in your possession.  Just a suggestion.

That's not a bad idea. I'll add that when I get home.

I want to add that I will be taking a picture of the card/code scratched off once escrow is in place. That way you know that not only the card is valid but legit too.
