They will be doing bespoken developments for Nuclear Energy Sites and other critical industrial structures across the UK … Industrial Scale Blockchain The first and only platform for ensuring the integrity of systems, networks and data at industrial scale : https://guardtime.com/" Guardtime and Future Cities Catapult, the UK-based centre of excellence for smart city innovation, today announce a partnership to develop blockchain based cybersecurity solutions for UK critical infrastructure. The partnership will initially focus on building prototype applications to enhance resiliency, security and reliability of critical infrastructure, including projects on flood defense systems, nuclear power and the electricity distribution grid. Matthew Johnson, Chief Technology Officer of Guardtime said,"As the world becomes more connected critical infrastructure will be even more exposed to cyberattack and today those tasked with defending infrastructure do not have the tools they need to guarantee the integrity of that infrastructure. We are thrilled to be working with Future Cities Catapult to design new blockchain based security solutions that can guarantee a level of operational resiliency not previously possible." Dr Catherine Mulligan, head of Digital Strategy and Economics at Future Cities Catapult added, "Guardtime's unique permissioned blockchain approach to large scale system integrity has tremendous potential to enhance the security of UK critical infrastructure and we are excited to work with the Guardtime team to build solutions that will play a key part in the government's industrial strategy and showcase to the world how cities can be smarter in the future." The partnership will address the concerns highlighted in a recent report by Chatham House, a UK think-tank, that highlighted cybersecurity concerns around nuclear power plants, with the industry harbouring a "culture of denial" about the risk of cyber hacking with many failing to protect themselves against digital attacks. " http://news.sys-con.com/node/3603345XDN has already features that could be adapted to fit many different uses requiring blockchain interaction and secure or private message passing …

I just wanted to say high.. I have been watching this coin for some time now and like where it is heading. At first I just mined a few to test out the deposit feature. I ended up keeping my miners pointed at it. I will continue to mine and watch this coin. good luck

I have supported xdn well above that price , and I haven't sold any of them ; I've set and reached my limit of xdn I want to own . I am sure that xdn will succeed and as soon as more people try it out and see how fast and smooth it works the price will recover .
It would also not be bad to have a real market place for arts and services where people can buy or auction them for xdn , thus giving xdn a few real world examples of trading in this lovely and private currency , adding value to it . There could be also a way of getting 5 bucks worth ( £€$ ) of xdn for messaging securely and privately , if someone would offer such a fiat to xdn service to people who don't want to mine on their devices … .
The point is to be able to use the currency ; it has to start somewhere , with a few pioneering the ways

This is my current local XDN exchange rate: Buy 0.0000338008 BTC, Sell 0.0000507011 BTC. I update it regularly here: http://digitalnotetalk.org/users/digitalnote-nanI sell my XDN physically on paper wallets and trade them with friends for services. I have been mining since February 2015, 24/7 @ 55 H/s so you can use my rates as reference to set a real price. You can print out paper wallets using this template and a spreadsheet program: http://digitalnotetalk.org/re-digitalnote-paper-wallet-design-contest-1

I wonder how you come up with that rate ; I use the Poloniex figures , our most consolidated & reliable exchange , for more than one project . In any case , it would be good to know how much minimum reward you would expect for performing creative , visual works around DigitalNote ? A simple xdn denomination figure , to get an idea what gets you doing …

I wonder how you come up with that rate ; I use the Poloniex figures , our most consolidated & reliable exchange , for more than one project . In any case , it would be good to know how much minimum reward you would expect for performing creative , visual works around DigitalNote ? A simple xdn denomination figure , to get an idea what gets you doing … Well that rate only applies locally. I use a personally designed spreadsheet calculator and the idea is to calculate how much it costs me to produce XDN. Every day I input the amount of XDN I mined the previous 24 hours. Over time, the calculator creates a daily average. That daily average is connected to a daily salary + daily electricity cost. The daily salary is calculated by pegging it to silver. Every day I input the price of silver in Troy oz. The calculator averages out the price of silver and creates a forecast average calculation for that day. I take that number and then convert it to silver dinars. Silver dinar is a good measurement for daily wages. It is roughly 1/10th of a Troy oz. That is just a simple explanation of how it works. On top of all that algorithm the spreadsheet also calculates the price by transactions. So when I sell XDN at a highter price the value would go down. Or when I sell XDN at a lower price, the value goes up. Also when I receive XDN donations the price goes significantly down relative to the amount that was donated. Up to now I haven't been able to buy XDN online. That would explain why my rates are so high. But recently I found out about a bitcoin ATM that is about 1 hour drive from where I am. Once I trade those bitcoins for XDN and I input that transaction into the spreadsheet, The price will be lowered automatically and it will resemble those of the exchanges.

I finally fixed their problem by emailing them a copy of my .bin files with working connections to replace them in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\digitalnote
You can send me an email address via private message if you like and I will help further if you need it. This is bad practice security wise with someone you don't know unless they can be trusted... or get the files from someone you know.

Fascinating work you're doing here with DigitalNote - got a few questions -
1. How can a limit be set on the total number of coins if there is 1% interest - surely the coin supply can always be 1% larger next year if everyone places their coins on deposit.
2. Is there any scope for higher interest rates? 1% is very low even for a major currency, it's insignificant for a fledging altcoin. Could interest rates be increased to encourage HODLers?

Thank you for your interest in DigitalNote. I'd be happy to answer your questions the best I can.
1. There are trillions of payments globally every year. Once XDN goes mainstream, transaction fees will easily pay the interest. Extra coins can go to the miners. Until then, we are still under the maximum number of 8,589,869,056XDN which incidentally, is a perfect number. This number can manage the world over with its needs for large, small and micro transactions.
2. Crazy as it sounds, several of Europe’s central banks have cut key interest rates below zero and kept them there for more than a year. Negative rates will hit the USA soon. We can't have interest rates too high with XDN as we need the velocity of DigitalNote. We don't want bagholders. We want decentralization and worldwide acceptance.
I truly believe in this coin's potential and that it could be the best cryptocurrency for the future.
Hope this answers your concerns. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
