dNote wrote something about poa. ask him when xdn pow-phase will be over.

Also we are working on PoA, process is deep. but when done, XDN will be very secure against attacks and will be even more decentralized.

You can "lock" your XDN and get it back with interest after "unlock".

E.G. With DigitalNote wallet you can "lock" 100 000 XDN for the period of 22000 blocks (~2 month) and get 100000.00000000 XDN + 125.00000000 XDN after unlock.

When PoA will be implemented deposits will act as a PoS part.

XDN deposits is the very first step before PoA.

PoA will be introduced after everything will be done and well tested. That will be a major event and XDN will become the most secure blockchain in the entire World.

Deposit system works ok. You can "lock" and withdraw deposits.

Current XDN Network deposits stats:

Block height: 242248
Block difficulty: 2895149

You can trust DigitalNote beta wallet, it works fine, but may have some minor issues.

Sync is pretty fast, depends on your connection it may take up to few hours, but any way XDN is the most space efficient CryptoNote cryptocurrency with fast Sync, because of unique small block size and no dust in blockchain (unlike any other CryptoNote cryptocurrency).

PoS will be based on XDN deposits.

If you want to sign blocks with PoS and get reward for it (150 XDN reward for PoS block) you should:

1. Make XDN deposit ("lock" some XDN)
2. Stay online with your wallet with deposited XDN
3. Profit! Now you have a chance to sign new block and get 150 XDN reward for it (in addition to deposits interest)

I got some of mine from an employer turned friend and gave me some xdn tips. I just don't know how where to spend these and so maybe I can just then exchange these to btc.

2. Strongest encryption. Only recipient can decrypt his message with his private key (by the way we will introduce new encryption option in next XDN releases to provide crypto "channels" interface.)
3. Messages route is unknown
4. Messages are stored in blockchain so recipient can decrypt it and read it after ages
5. You can send "tokens of value" with your messages

PoA is not implemented yet, but you can use deposits.

Min. amount of XDN to "lock" on deposits = 150 XDN

Min time to "lock" = 11000 blocks (~1 month)

Deposits interest rate depends only on "lock" time. (~0.4%-1.03% annual)

E.G. With 150 XDN deposit and 11000 blocks "lock" time annual interest rate ~ 0.4% and you will receive 150XDN + 0.05 XDN after "unlock".
        With 150 XDN deposit and 110000 blocks "lock" time annual interest rate ~ 1.03% and you will receive 150XDN + 1.2875 XDN after "unlock".

But when PoA will be implemented you will have a higher chance to sign new PoS blocks so higher chance to get more rewards.
New PoA block rewards will have the same reward rate as PoW blocks = 150XDN.

New PoS blocks will almost immediately follow PoW blocks, so we will have about 4 min between PoS blocks, so every PoS online stake holder will have a chance to get 150 XDN block reward every 4 min for signing PoS block.

hey  dnote, i sent some xdn from my wallet, but it looks like it wasnt synced (there was warning that last block was found 400 hours ago)
now this tx is shown with "?" in the wallet with 0 confirmations
will it go somewhere (forward or back) ?

upd: i've installed 1.0.6., resynced and did succesful tx - but previous one is in '?' state
any chance to have coins back?
