The biggest problems with Bitcoin that I encountered
It's hard to explain to anyone The transaction time is instant but the confirmation time it takes too long to be confirmed Lack of adoption of bitcoin as a currency
Correct. Confirmation time is the biggest problem with bitcoins as sometimes it might take hours and hours for the transaction to get confirmed, and sometimes it is done within fraction of seconds, but still there are many advantages associated with bitcoins, so it is better to avoid this problem of confirmation as bitcoins is helping us in many other ways.

the major problem of Bitcoin is probably lack of adoption. and the main reasons of lack of adoption are probably ease of use and insufficient security

All the manipulating to make a profit
Hopefully as the market cap goes up, manipulation will become more and more difficult.

Software development team here. We would like to hear from the community what are the most annoying\frustrating stuff you have with Bitcoin and would love to get a solution for ? Feel free to talk about any problem, even if it seems unsolvable or too abstract (e.g. Bitcoin is not safe enough for the average user) Edit: After reading all the replies, I feel confident summarizing that the #1 problem of Bitcoin is probably lack of adoption. And the main reasons of lack of adoption are probably ease of use and insufficient security. We are a team of entrepreneurs and software developers that are going to spend the next following months-year on developing a new product. One of the most appealing markets for us is the Bitcoin market. We will try to learn us much as possible from your replies and try to tackle the problems head on.
Well aside from I cant see it physically and I cant have it in the moment I want it. Also I cant use it to buy stuffs directly but it is fine because I understand that we are in time where people are still using the usual paper money.

The biggest problem with bitcoin is when the stress test came out. Transaction get's stuck and not being confirmed for few days, and the deal stays pending. Another "problem" is that i want the bitcoin(1 satoshi) in a physical coin in my pocked

Lack of adoption I hope with time will be better. Bitcoin is only 5 years
lack of adoption as well as dwindling users. I strongly thing a lot of epople have stopped using btc after being scammed, losing too mcuh by "holding", or by simply realizing it doesnt benefit them all that much. My other issue is that I strongly believe illegal uses (money laundering as seen on here with gift cards) is propping up the price. Take those poeple out of the equation and the user base shrinks significantly

The rising of blockchain brings a basic issue that if the human autonomy should be replaced of technology. Even some experts on encrytion currency also show skepticism. The exchange is particularly vulnerable that the dealers could buy and sell bitcoins by US dollars, Euro and other currencies. However, the collapse of Mt.GOX caused many bad effect to bitcoin community. In this January, another exchange called Bitstamp was attacked by hackers who stole 19000 bitcoins, which made further blow of the whole industry.

so although bitcoin security has been improved, one day it can be hack again on the future...right? Maybe this is solid reason why bitcoin's value keep stable...

I agree. The long transaction times are a hassle. I once had to wait 48 hours, only to have the bitcoins returned to my wallet, and then I tried to send them again, only to find out that I accidentally made a double spend.

The confirmations are slow but I think its not a problem. If the transaction have reached the network you could be sure it's already ok. Or are there some options to prevent a transaction to be done as it has reached the blockchain?

Exactly, I do not have any problem with bitcoin but I always spend them very fast. Because while I'm sitting on my computer, I can spend my bitcoins with 2-3 clicks. Normally, for paper money, I have to stand up my ass to my chair and go to a shop center to spend.

Yes, myself also do not find any problem with bitcoin. Bitcoin is already secured, fullfill all the terms for being a money and meaningful mining process. So, really I do not have any problem.

My biggest problems with Bitcoin are transaction confirmation waiting time and fact that many of my friends don't trust bitcoin and thinks that I'm wasting my time and money here. I can't wait to prove them that they are wrong

Few issues with confirmations, but other than that, no really big problems.

Uncertainty of confirmations time is my biggest problem with Bitcoin.Sometimes it takes more than an hour to confirm and other times in few minutes we get 2/3 even 4 confirmations. If this problem resolves somehow and have exact idea of block generation for confirmation would be great.
