I just don't like blowing deadlines. I guess I did say when these first went on sale that the expected ship date would probably hinge on whether we had the robot in or not, but it still sucks. Though I guess it does also give us more time to have a driver deployed, which is good for Novak since he's doing double duty this week.

Later I'll post a picture or two of what I've got so far. Maybe that'll keep y'all interested.

EDIT: Like this. First full panel of Compacs placed and baked.

looking good I can't wait until they are compete. Will these be natively supported in bfgminer or will we need to do some custom work to get them working? I run mine of a raspberry Pi using minera OS

Also, it looks like Luke-Jr's Compac has arrived and he's working on BFG code for it. Novak's also been working on cgminer code, and took one of the test sticks home with him to keep working. So that's good news.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

Yes, this is looking straight-forward enough to hopefully have in BFGMiner before delivery.

Good deal. Thanks for the update.

Now if only I could get an update on where my heatsinks are... and the robot...

This is excellent news will it be added in a new built say 5.3?

And in that picture, is just a hair shy of 1% ordered. And yeah, it looks hand cooked too, I can see the darkening of the PCBs down the middle.

yes, 10%.. but 30 (the sticks per board) X11 ( the 10 more boards, +1 with the one pictured now) = 330 covers the 314 that's been ordered..

unless you want to say 300 more Sticks to past and steady hand the components on, yes..

I don't plan on hand-placing any more boards if I don't have to. So I'm not sure where the "30 more boards to process" comes from.

the board I'm referring to is the panel there with the 30 comapcs ready to break apart.
not thinking straight, 10 board, with 30 compacs (where i 'prolly pulled the number 30 from) etc, etc..

Novak has been told our robot will be shipping next week. Whether we believe them or not is a different story, but that puts us having it the week after. I may start work on assembling miners by hand as intended, but until I know the heatsinks have shipped I may deprioritize it in the hopes that I can get most of the work done via robot and not actually lose any ship time because heatsink delays would dominate. This would also free me up to get back to design work instead of spending about 150 man-hours assembling stick miners.

Frankly, I'm of the mind that you wait for the PnP.

That seems like a lot of work given the pending arrival of el machineo (a little Spanish lingo there for those of you in Rio Linda).

The arrival is pending being able to trust the shipper, who has been thus far habitually slow and self-serving. When they shipped initially, it was a week after the robot should have already been delivered based on the timeline they gave us. They also didn't include any of the pertinent information we gave them which customs required to process and clear the shipment. They also decided that, since the paperwork on their end was slightly easier and they didn't care so much if we gained another six weeks of delays to their screwups, they'd let us wait the 30 business days for it to clear return customs before reshipping instead of cross-shipping us a new one and then getting the first one back on their own time.

So yeah, I'm gonna give them a few days to make good but I don't really trust them to not fail again.

I just got word the heatsinks finally shipped, so we'll likely have them by Friday. Novak got word last night the robot cleared receiving customs and will be re-shipping to us soon.

Great. I look forward slapping this on Solo CK Pool. Smiley

I'll need a way to leave it running 24/7. I'll probably do it on my GPU rig thats running 24/7 anyways.

Just need to figure out how much power the USB port on that mobo can safely give. (H81 Pro BTC)

I can imagine that the "semi-automatic pic-n-place" will have sore fingers and a headache if he fills any more boards.
