I dug around in the threads and on the net and can't find a powered usb hub that can handle twenty or more. Can someone point me in the right direction? I would prefer something that is somewhat compact since the wife is pissed off at the noise of nine s7's running in the garage, so I want something a bit more fun to tinker with when I am bored. Look in the support thread, there are a few recommendations there, including one that is running like 19 sticks I think.

Very few can do 20.   That is a lot of miners.  The only one I have seen do this close to this and it is Phil.   It is very impressive.

You might ask him more about his hub.   It is a very nice hub I cant remember the name of the top of my head though.   And he might have had to mod it to do that, I am at a loss for some reason remembering it.  Found post about it he did mod hub - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1177508.msg12599952#msg12599952 it is chances are the sweetest compac rig. And only one I have seen do near 20 it is at 19.

There's a "what's the best stickminer" thread on Hardware, and somebody mentioned he might have some fun news regarding a scrypt stickminer in the near future. That's the only public posting I've seen but I also haven't really been looking. Guy might have his own thread in an altcoin board. I don't know.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

There are also test pads on the back if you don't want to risk shorting something out.

The only electronic stuff I've ever worked on is automobile related.  These electronics are so compact that I feel like you almost have to have a surgeon's hands even just to get your probe on those pads!

Photo for reference for folks who may be coming to this thread without reading any of the others.

GND and VCore are your friends when playing with voltage and different clock speeds. I've got several sticks running for 72 hours with 0 HW errors at 400 Mhz, others are more picky and can only get them to 375Mhz.

Just ordered one for Solomining on a Raspberry Pi 2.

Ubuntu 14.10 with LXDE
BitcoinCore
CGminer
CKpool-software

Less pressure on making ROI than with the bigger mining equipment in the past.
This is more fun!

Donations are always welcome :-)

Well actually right now I'm waiting on a guy that's owed me money since about the middle of September to stop screwing up the transfer process and/or disappearing for days or weeks and then I can funnel it directly into buying parts. I had planned on having that done already but, you know, this is what happens when I rely on other people to do things right.

Any luck getting the guy to pay up?  Or still having to chase him down for next step?
(And no rush was curious on status)

How much heat do these produce?

Utterly ridiculous question...but if I put a bunch of these in a corner of a room how well do you think they would heat that corner?

And also are they still for sale?

I believe the pre-order for the next/second/last batch is up. For generating heat, you wild need a lot of these. At the moment i'm running one at 2-3 watt~ i believe.

I've gotten one past 15W but I wouldn't leave it unattended.

Parts order for the next batch was delayed by funds availability but that problem is pretty much solved now. We should be sending off on Monday which means we'd start meeting pending orders within a week.

Great news on funds!  Thanks for update as I'm sure it was not any fun trying to catch someone who is going silent.

I know how much you hate taking money before providing a product.  But if you ever run into this where it's a small cash flow problem I think there are quite a few willing to put money for pods and not push.   Hopefully the second batch brings some cash inflow to you though.

Pods shouldn't be a problem. I actually still haven't gotten squared up with the guy yet, but we've made some sales and other deals lately that brought the coffer back up to appreciable levels. If we can keep what we've got right now and keep rolling it forward with new miners and power supply boards (and hosting expansion) we're gonna be super busy all winter but sitting pretty come spring.

So, a day late of the adjusted "when I can finally get that taken care of" schedule we've got parts on order for Compacs and some other stuff. Which means next week I'll be catching up current pending orders and the week after I could be selling from stock. I really like selling from stock.
