Actually, you can't buy them from a reseller for the same price because the reseller buys them from me for the same price and then has to mark them up. We did a no-bulk-discounts sales on this run, which I do like the fairness of that policy (everyone, no matter the quantity, got the same lowest price we could feasibly offer) but in the end there's a heck of a lot more hassle with 20 people buying 50 sticks total than with one guy buying 20 sticks. The reseller has to deal with the 20 people buying his stock, but I don't have to, so after BM1384 Compacs I'll probably shift back to tier pricing so I get a bit more for the trouble of single-stick orders and give it back to the resellers who themselves have the trouble of single-stick orders as well. Kind of a load-balancing strategy, you understand. The effect on the end customer is not substantial whether they buy straight from me or from CrazyGuy or whatever, but it helps out CrazyGuy or whatever who are taking a heck of a lot of load off me in getting our stuff in the hands of customers. So if I can adjust things to maintain fairness to the end customer while helping out the folks who make my job easier, I will. But that won't affect pricing on the rest of BM1384 Compacs.
I might have enough bulk sales lined up to start a second batch, but I need everything to be confirmed and coordinated before announcing anything.

I think he meant instead of buying 10, he can buy 7 for the same price (of 10). As in, he does not have to go through you to spend his "allowance". Weird formulation, but thats how i read it yesterday. It kind of bothers me seeing people selling the sticks for 50$(+shipping) though, feel ripoff.

I see what you're saying. For the same total price as 10 from me, he could get 6 or 7 from CrazyGuy.
Yeah, $50 is really high. I haven't seen that price, but then I haven't really been looking. I know CrazyGuy's Amazon sale price was pretty high, but we've already been over that - gotta add a billion percent for Amazon's cut, stuff like that. Middlemen always cost more. One of my favorite "I hate middleman markup" stories, my uncle runs an aluminum die casting factory. They had to buy back some parts once which had failed an inspection somewhere, but they had to buy them back at shelf price. The bid for manufacture was $1.35 per unit but shelf price, by the time they changed hands to the packager and wholesaler and distributor and retailer, was about $40 a pop. Effin' ridiculous.

Yep. I don't get ahold of you to tell you I have things for sale. You get ahold of me and ask for it, then I respond. And I won't ask for money to be paid to anywhere that contradicts with the instructions and info in the first post of this thread. And I have zero available for sale.
Screw that guy.

Wow, lot of red flags there which defy posted policy. That's not the right payment address, I never quoted prices for these in BTC, and I don't have bulk discounts on these. It's also posted that I'm out of stock, that a new batch is possible but not guaranteed, and that even if I started a new batch it'd be over a month to availability. That guy's not even trying. And I really like the "This user is a Hero Member. If you are expecting a message from this member then it is genuine !!!" Nice touch. Ass.

love scammers its why i never signed up here for ages I dont see why this would deter you from signing up, if you spend 1 min on the internet, you realize how horrible people are at scamming, and that there's millions of them around. Its not hard to grasp, would you deal In real Life with some guy that hide who he is, that you never met, that can't say 2 English word in a row without making a mistake? "Yeshh i r legit, plx gib monies." Please thats so obvious. Its not hard not to get scammed IRL, its just as easy online.

Done on my part. Just missing fire27 to do it as well, unless a mod as doing such things in their job description, it might be a more streamlined recourse. But i guess you never know. Anyways, i guess that according to the old rule, now that Sidehack got an imposter scammer, he/his thread is now universally accepted as a real seller/sale thread. ;P

I'm sold out at the moment, but I much prefer sales from ASICPuppy.net @$35 over Amazon @$45. Here's what I deal with on Amazon and eBay: 1) 10% + seller Fees 2) Scammers, chargebacks and people who treat small businesses like they are Walmart "I've used your merchandise for a month and I haven't found a block, I'm sending it back for a full refund per Amazon's policy" 3) Customer support. Someone who buys from Amazon/Ebay is much less likely to be a forum visitor and very likely to need help setting up their miners. 5-10 minutes of correspondence with a single customer can add up when you are selling large quantities. I think one of the reasons you see so many fly by night mining and hardware operations is because individuals underestimate the amount of time and money they will spend sustaining their business. I think it's very wise of sidehack to delegate smaller sales to resellers and concentrate on what he's good at, which is cranking out top notch miners!

Yeah, flat pricing was kind of a test. I liked the idea from a standpoint of fairness, but when I took a look at how much work I wasn't having to do because a couple resellers were handling so much of advertising and handholding, it really stopped being fair to them. And I don't know about y'all but my first interaction with CrazyGuy (something like November 2013) he stuck his neck out to give me a deal even better than what I was asking for, and he's been nothing but helpful ever since so I want to make sure guys like him are taken care of. Dude puts in a lot of time and effort for his customers.

yeah I have 13 sticks and will sell some but not until all the resellers are empty. Crazyguy has done well by me for a few years. So I pointed a few people at him.

I should know for sure by early next week whether I'm a go to do another batch of 500 Compacs. Some of these will be made with the tail-end of the extra chips we bought for the first round, though not many. Probably less than a hundred. The rest will be made with pulled ASICs. The warranty from me will still be the same.
In order to move into the next batch, I needed 200 sales committed. I am halfway there and have been told to expect payment for the rest about Monday. If that happens, that'll lock in the batch and I'll move immediately into acquiring parts for manufacture. Delivery is expected in the first two weeks of February, unless something goes wrong to set us back (like late heatsinks, which contributed to about two weeks of delay on the first batch).
If I do start a fresh batch, I will reopen sales to the general public. So folks can buy as they want, price same as always, but make sure you realize delivery won't happen until February. To tell the truth, I wouldn't be offended if more than half of them were sold by the time I started shipping.
So, come back for updates next week. I might have some news.

Dude puts in a lot of time and effort for his customers.
You both put in a lot of time for your customers which is why I have spent money with both of you. Plus the gear you both sell is top notch, so you'd be a fool not to support it! Same goes for mining software, I've sent tips to folk like ck, kano, luke-jr, cryptoglance, etc. because they put in a ton of work for software that is free!
