Worst mistake is that in 2010 i buy a second hand ps2 for like 25 btc when it was like 2 dollars a coin, the seller forget about it and finally remember them when it is $1200 a coin.
Sometimes i still cry about them lol

So you send the coin and he never come back. The seller only came back when 25 Bitcoin is worth $1200 and than he send you the product? At least he send the product to you and not taking the 25 Bitcoin away. If I were you, I will ask for a refund. I rather risk the seller not sending me the product than being ripped off.

My biggest mistake was that I got into bitcoins very late as firstly I was not having faith in it and I believed its just an Scam as I was not aware how it works or how it is useful as a currency and then when I started using bitcoins the very first payment I made was to a wrong address which never recovered  Huh

How much Bitcoin did you send to the "unknown" address?

I think my worst mistake is when i sold my btc at a low price because of panic and then weeks after the bitcoin price rised *facepalm*
Lesson learned : Always don't panic and be patient

I like what fryaminer say. Just watch the pump (or dump) and join in the game when the volume is not big.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

This is easy for me.  It was to gamble.  I should have learned from my past gambling addiction experience.  Sad

When Cloud mining was a "IN THING", I bought some hash power from GAW / PBMining / Cex and never ROI on any of it.

I also dropped some money on some beginner Ponzi scheme's to try it out, and I lost some there.... not a lot though. The coin I gambled with, was no mistake, just pure enjoyment.

I also bought some coins at the wrong time, and panic sold it, when the price took a nose dive... but since made up for that, by timing the trades and selling at the right time.

Mistakes are there to learn from... the people who do not make mistakes, are most probably the ones who are not trying new things.  Roll Eyes

No the seller was my friend, after i paid him i get the ps2 that day. He said he would sell them when btc is 5 dollars a coin but he forget about them. When it reach 1200$ he suddenly remember it and cash out.

What's the worst mistake you did with your Bitcoin? It can vary from starting to use Bitcoin to buying dumped Altcoin to gambling.

The worst mistake I made with Bitcoin is... Buying cloud mining hashrate. I bought 0.02 GH/s CEX.IO hash rate voucher at SEOClerk for $2 USD - or maybe $1 USD. I thought with 0.02 GH/s, I would be making a profit in half a year.. And I was wrong.

Well, I bought using the free five dollars coupon. So that does not count as making a mistake with Bitcoin. However, the slow profit lead me to buying hashing power from CEX.IO and later on.. ZeusHash using the Bitcoin I earned from signature campaign.. Again, I thought I would be making profit in a few months. Till today, I'm sure I have not make any profit from both the company yet. CEX.IO stopped their cloud mining operation and.. ZeusHash.. What do you think.?

The greatest mistake I did with bitcoin was to use a gambling site... I never bought bitcoins to gamble but I got so addicted that i would be on the site all day long and whenever i go out i would be thinking about it all the time and this went out for 7-8 months... I don't know how i stopped but atleast i stopped and i try to remain as far as possible from those sites..

Agree with your last sentence. I have learnt not to invest into cloud mining after my two attempts fail.

Uh. If I were you I would not trade 25 BTC for a PS2 which I could only receive if Bitcoin increase by 250%. It must be one of the worst mistake this thread will have.

I can see that you're trying to get away from casino from your signature - you're not taking part in a casino/dice campaign. I hope you will never visit any online gambling site again - even if it is physical casino, avoid it.

"Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin?"

I received my first bitcoin last March thru fauceting . I used to play on faucets everyday until I hit 3 million satoshis mark. Then I introduced in this forum via google search then I see "that" gambling site. This is the first time that I see a bitcoin gambling site. I play dice there and deposits all my beloved satoshis. It let me win until BTC0.09 so Im happy and think that having bitcoin is just a chicken. So easy. Then boom all of my balance gone because my greediness eats me. I like to back my 3 million satoshis investment because you know I spend all day in faucets just to achieve that.

But the good thing here is ,this is the turning point in my btc life after this incident. I used to see some thread here and joined some discussion. My knowledge in bitcoin are increasing everyeday. And of course more methods come in my mind to earn bitcoins.

Hmm. Interesting. You're lucky to only lost 0.09 Bitcoin to 'the casino'. I can see that you are earning a somewhat "steady" income from your signature campaign. In a few months time, you will become a Senior member. Once you're a senior member, the 0.09 BTC will really become "easy" to you. As a Senior member, I'm earning at least 0.1 BTC every month. Last month, I make more than 0.2 BTC for just posting ~150 Posts. I wont suggest you to spend countless hours entering Captcha for Satoshi. However, please take a look at http://bitrevenues.com/. BitRevenues is a site created by me. It share it revenue to five lucky winner every round. Winner will walk away with at least 0.015 BTC. Better than entering Captcha on these faucets.

Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
the worst mistake i did with bitcoin was that i bought my first BTC at a price of $240 when it was labled to be at $200...
still thinking how desperate i was that time...
And now thinking of it makes me laugh loud....Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

You're making a ~30 USD Profit now. Hold them and you will double your money in the near future. Bitcoin wont stay at ~270 for long. Smiley.

1. I didn't get in in the beginning of 2012 when I first heard about it.

2. I wasted a lot of money on alt coins thinking they will get me rich. They didn't, I just lost. Better stick with Bitcoin and maybe 1 promising alt.

I hope you would stop gambling after you learn the lesson. Anyway, turning 0.002 Bitcoin to half a Bitcoin is actually something amazing. Most people would cashout 0.25 or 0.1 Bitcoin if they did what you did.

1. I didn't get in in the beginning of 2012 when I first heard about it.

2. I wasted a lot of money on alt coins thinking they will get me rich. They didn't, I just lost. Better stick with Bitcoin and maybe 1 promising alt.

Almost everyone thought Bitcoin was a "pump and dump" in Bitcoin early days. However, we're not late if we are joining into the game today. Bitcoin is still growing. I consider most of us here early adopters.

If you're looking for a promising altcoin, I would suggest Hyper. Hyper have been in the industry of Altcoin for a year and the developer is active.

Other than not investing into Altcoin, also not to invest in cloud mining.

Every satoshis are important to me back in that day because I worked hard for it thru fauceting all day that's why Im really really sad when all my hard earned satoshis gone. Then I realized that others lost 0.5 , 0.4 , 0.3 and even 1 bitcoin via gambling. Well after all , good thing I entered this forum to correct my worst mistake I did with bicoin.

About the site you told , I will check that.
