I know the value will jump, but I say within before the end of this yea it`ll be officially high 200ish or lower 300ish.
And this is based on going up and down each month basis then a daily basis.
But overall look its going to skyrocket since its consider the only positive money for americans and everyone else who wants to be their own bank.

By 2020 I think its going to be none of those options.
And it could just sky rocket for no reason based on just rich folks have huge money to test what bitcoin is about, and if one of them are convinced by their VC partners or something.

My wild gues would be between $2,500 and $5,000. I think this is very achievable if we continue the rate of adoption and a rate of investment, VC especially as we are seeing in 2015. Of course we need Bitcoin to improve as well and to have some consensus in the ecosystem, first is most obviously the block size debate.

If that's what people are aiming for then they should reexamine their strategy. I can't understand how these people manage to completely disregard time like that. They just pick a random value that's slightly higher so they think it's more realistic, without considering how it could happen, how long it would take for it to happen, and if the rewards > risks. It's just so sad.

Indeed, what would be the point of holding long term if you are aiming for anything less than 5 figure a BTC? waste of time. A stock like Tesla will probably give you more than x3 your money in 20 years. With BTC if you are aiming for x100 type of gains you are doing it wrong and you should find another investment.

The value could be vastly huge! You have to consider panic buying as time goes on and we start closing in on the 21 million cap. Fomo could send the value through the roof

hey we will not be near to the 21 million cap in 2020 but it will happen in 2140 approximately. And there will also be panic selling when panic buying will take place.

Do you think that panic buying will be coming all of us though? cause I dont really see it, unless some other country like greece who does need it or like china that`ll just want to be part of the bitcoin movment so they unban it. hence making all those people in china buying at the last second. I wouldnt know where the new volatility would come from..

It is a long time until 2020. I remember that people have been called crazy in the beginning of 2013 for predicting an exchange price of over $100 for 1 BTC. I wouldn't be surprised if 1 BTC will be exchanged for a sum in the six or seven figures in 2020, if everything evolves very positive for the Bitcoin economy.

If BTC were traded for 6 or 7 figures in 2020 what do you think will happen with mining farms? The reward will be 6.25 per block and at six or seven figures per coin that's a serious amount of income. Will they be guarded or maybe even government sanctioned then? They would be the gold mines of the future!

But something like 50k/coin seems possible.

I think it will be $100 USD because of deflation and geopolitical chaos. I hope it will be $1,000,000 due to hyper-inflation.

why would you hope for hyper inflation? That seems like a stupid think to hope for, like a nuclear war.

What will happen: Bitcoin will become M1, ethereum will become M2 and they will be linked (maybe ethereum will become a sidechain).

To 2020 year bitcoin will not be the main coin and the price will be very low. In the year 2018 a new coin, which will be a symbiosis of a few coins.

bitcoin COULD possibly be overtaken in a few decades, but it won't happen that quickly. The world needs to first come to accept cryptocurrencies as a legitimate form of money, not a scam or pyramid scheme or internet play money. The average people need to believe that there is real value in cryptocurrencies, and that it is safe to use. Only then, can other cryptocurrencies thrive. Before then, if people dont' even trust bitcoin, they're definitely not going to use some new coin.
