Always thought the $100.000 was total bulshit but can't help hoping it will get there eventually.

Please put down the number you think it will reach not the number you hope it will be  Cool

I think the bitcoin's price in that year will be a lot like it will be $20000.

That will be five years from now I think the coin's price in that time will be $10000.

$10k per one bitcoin in five years highly possible price. I believe $10k price might be reached within 2 years from the second halving. Once people started to invest into bitcoin then massive investment are inevitable to make prices flying towards moon.

Yes reasonable. Bitcoin prices are highly dependent on new investments which are only possible for a raising priced commodity. Once bitcoin prices turned back to raising edge then we can see higher and higher prices.

i highly doubt the stable price would be 1k ,for that to happen it has to reach atleast 2k $ and i dont know the reason why you guys think the price will only increase ? 200~ is a dead stable price .

The block reward halving makes it increasingly uneconomic to mine. Some big miners have said cost price is somewhere around $150 and that's with free electricity in certain cases. By 2020 the block rewards will have fallen from 25 to 6.25 coins.

If the price is still around those levels by then it won't have caught on and there won't be any increase in transaction fees to subsidise the block reward. It would be on its way to curtains probably. It would still be possible to mine but there wouldn't be a great deal of incentive to do so.

By 2020, block reward would be just 25% of what we have now. Then there should be at least 400% growth in bitcoin price. It's just a mathematical calculation. But there are lot of factors which has more significant influences directly into bitcoin prices. So we can expect even 400 times appreciations also.

One factor you are mentioning is  price of electricity. in 2020 should be much higher then now. Higher electricity price will help Bitcoin price grow, or made less people mine it.

There is always going to be people on this planet that meet the criteria of a person that can make benefit from Bitcoin. Statistically there is always out there with a good price in their local area for electricity, that owns a good enough mining farm. I don't have any fear of lack of hashing power because of a potential raise in electricity bills.

Well one thing is for certain many here still dreaming of a insane value for bitcoin.
Its ok to have wet dream fantasies too, but i think its just that a dream
My guess is that it will keep hoovering between 50 and 500 dollar for a long time.
Will it ever break that precious $1200 do not think so, my crystal ball is not so clear on that Wink

I'm gonna be happy if it reaches 1K in 2020. I don't assume much as I will be spending my BTC from time to time so I don't hold much unless I got some extra to keep. While I believe 10k is possible, it may not happen this 2020. Not while major merchants online don't use Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is tiny. If it gets widely accepted and adopted, it will rise, and rise exponentially. $10k is nothing.

$1000 is very reachable in 2020, and if in case we hit that levels again, it would go on for another upward pushes. Tradingview.speculations suggest that 10k is doable and much more than that is possible. They believe in the signs that TA is giving them, but most of the time, the actual market sentiments don't go according to these signs.

On a realistic level I would say we won't be hitting $1000 per Bitcoin until 2020 at the current rate Bitcoin is going, not to dampen spirits, though with all the bad publicity and the lack of control to security (ie; hacking still occurring with advanced security) then I can't see it this prediction happening.

2012: 10 USD
2013: 100 USD
2014 : 200 USD
2015 : 300 USD

logic ... for life economies.

From this logic it means that in 2020 it should be around 800$
I think that 5 years from now it should reach around $1500
But it depends on the new technology, block size, halving periods etc.

How much will depend on where you live. In Russia, for instance, 1 Bitcoin may soon be worth 4 years of jail time Sad

I'm not saying that my people are exceptionally law-abiding, but looking at 4 years in prison is a bit of a deterrent, don't you think?
Like mom, for instance, probably wouldn't start using Bitcoin, knowing she risked a 4-year stretch.

They can't stop it from being used by people, the Russian government will just make the people more curious about bitcoin. Its been accepted by online merchants and more of them will in the future.   And maybe just maybe the government be into it will someday.
