Yes..this is really poor from india specially the lower middle order of india has almost done nothing in the batting departement for india...even if they have scored 20 or 30 runs each india would have won easily...india do need to make some changes now
The problem is that the Indian batsmen are so used to playing in flat tracks. There are only one or two grounds in India, that support seam bowling (Mohali in Punjab is an example). The BCCI need to improve its facilities, if it wants the batsmen to perform abroad.

The BCCI need to improve its facilities, if it wants the batsmen to perform abroad. Nowadays BCCI is looking towards opening new grounds in highland areas such as Dharamshala and Siliguri. These grounds may be able to support pace bowling and may produce international quality fast bowlers. Also, from this year onward the northeastern states are being allowed to participate in the Ranji trophy. So there is a chance that highland cities such as Imphal and Gangtok may witness a few first-class matches.

Pitch was supporting spin bowling more compared to seam bowling. Indians are good at playing spin bowling but this team failed to play against this bowler both in first and second innings. It is easy to blame on the pitch but the fact is this Indian team was not prepared well enough to play on England ground. The last match lost interest now and only India can try to reduce their losing margin to 2-3 otherwise it will be 1-4.

Nepal was supposed to be the next team to emerge from Asia, after Bangladesh and Afghanistan, given that there is strong support for the game at the grassroot level. But they could manage only 95 runs against Hong Kong in a 50 over match. They have a long way to go!

The funny thing is, 80% of Hong Kong cricket team consists of Bengladeshis and Pakistanis. Why aren't Hong Kong people interested in playing cricket?

This was a great test match as there were a lot of ups and downs through out and it was tough to pick the winner. England were just the better team at certain stages of this test match. For me it was Moeen Ali who was the game changer through this test match taking 9 wickets in the match and was the one to get the 2 danger men in Kohli and Rahane in India's second innings. After these to feel India feel apart and it was game over. Congrats to England on winning the series.
As expected, England managed to win this test match. The Indian bowlers have performed well this series, but were let down by the Indian batsmen. It was never going to be easy chasing a moderate total in the fourth innings. The minute India lost early wickets, it all went downhill. The pitch conditions supported the pace bowlers and that is the reason why they performed so well. But the Indian batsmen (with the exception of Kohli) needs to perform in such conditions. We cannot blame Pitch for this Indian lost because Moeen Ali take 9 wickets and Ashwin also done good job all blame to Indian Battling line up as they completely fail to produce any good performance now time for Indian board to think about this before Australian tour because they are going to face same conditions if they want to win then surely have some good practice in seam wickets with some good and attacking battling line up not with these dead wickets battling line up

I feel entire blame lies on their famed batting line up, which meekly surrendered the match, they have one or two brilliant individuals, but as a team they're weak. I hope for the upcoming tour down under, team management decided to make several changes, if they wish to win there.

They are good to come, hit and go back take rest as soon as possible. But in test cricket on talented crickets can play long hours and build a good partnership. Some people say the pitch was bad for batting on last day but they batted worst than expected. They also need to bring a good batting couch like Dravid to improve test batting line up. Do you guys think this current Indian team can qualify to quarterfinals round in next world cup?

Yes you are right some batsmen are not fit for test cricket and some good batsman are waiting to get chance example Karun Nair he is excellent batsman but Indian team is giving chance to Pant, Rahul, Pandya these players are fit for only limited overs not for test cricket. And yes last day batting is not easy and 4th innings if the target is more than 230+ runs it will become tough for the batting team. But I think India had a chance to win this test match they missed it bad luck.

Another win for Hong Kong. They defeated UAE by two wickets and have qualified for the Asia cup after 10 years! They've definitely improved overall.

I don't really pay much attention to these matches with low ranked teams but its always nice to see teams that haven't qualified for something in a very long time make it through. The UAE is a decent cricket so for Hong Kong to beat them and make it through to the Asia cup is a great achievement.

Its really surprised me as well because they beat UAE two time and both time they done very good job now they are coming Dubai for big event with confidence hopefully they will give some good resistance as they done in this qualifier feeling sad for Nepal as they was very good and strong contender for this spot but badly they down and out with fourth place.

The 5th and final test match will start later today and from all reports it will be Alastair Cook's final Test before the 33 year old former captain retires from international cricket. Its a shame that he lost his form over the past couple of years as he was a great run scorer for England, I believe he now holds the record for most runs score for England in test matches. It will be an interesting 5th test as England would want to win to send their former captain out on a high while India will be looking to bounce back after a hard loss.

The last match of a very interesting series is ending, both the teams gave it all, but in the end team England came out on the top in almost all departments. Alastair cook made his debut against team India, and it's sheer coincidence he's retiring against them, he's truly humble and one of the best captain I have ever seen. I'm expecting team India to make wholesale changes to thier team, with a series of Australia looming ahead, this is an excellent chance to experiment. I would yet mark team England as favourites and Alastair to score big, what do you'll think.

Cook is quite humble I believe and it's a beautiful time he is retiring, won the series, the team is in good form, everything is positive. And about India, I agree they need to change their setting completely, or like in this series, the result can be the same against Australia. Watching this test series, England at the moment is the best team I felt.

India are in a very strong position in the fifth test match against England. England have been reduced to 198/7, in spite of a 60 run opening stand. But India must remember that they lost 2 tests from such strong positions, due to England's tail wagging. They must ensure that England do not score more than 20-30 runs tomorrow.

In this series Bowlers done very impressive job for India in every inning they stick Enlighten battling line up and not give them enough space for playing freely but every time main battling line collapse and they fail to produce good result even lost this series now in final test once again Ishant Bumrah and Jadeja all was on fire and bring them down now lets see what is response from battling line here as they need to give some good and positive result before departure from here.

England won the toss and elected to bat the first means on this pitch also may be a difficult bat in last innings. So India has to take a good lead in the first innings to avoid chasing the big total in the last innings. If India wins this match at least they will gain the confidence back otherwise they will go to the next series with a very low confidence level. With the new ball, I feel they can pick up the last three wickets quickly.
