I'm not sure if they would be able to win today against Afghanistan today; South Africa is an even stronger team. Afghanistan made 300+ and England gave away the early advantage when they were dominating the game. They showed some poor bowling today. Almost every bowler economy rate was over six with Jamie Overton the most expensive of all.

England are still in the game with current score of 197/4. They still need 129 runs and they have 17 overs in hand. It is possible with current batsmen playing ,Joe Root and Jos Buttler but if anyone gets out now, things can be even more difficult for the English team.

Actually, I'm still not entirely sure whether England can win this match but they are slowly being able to move forward with the right goals. I had previously predicted that England would not be able to win this match match because Afghanistan showed something incredible today.

As per your comment, I would like to say that three bowlers of the England team bowled very expensively, including Adil Rashid who gave away 60 runs and Jofra Archer who gave away 64 runs even Jamie Overton who gave away 72 runs. Seeing the performance of these few bowlers maybe everyone will be very naturally guessing that only batsmen can do well in this match.

England should have won this match because they play strong and well but in those matches the one with the best performance will win in which Afghanistan won the match by playing the best.   Afghanistan's performance was so good and strong that is why Afghanistan won this match and England was weak in this match and will lose the match.

Also, England failed to win the match, England's bowler has done the worst batting, which made Afghanistan batsmen such a big target and England could not achieve this target and will lose the match.  England must work hard in the next matches because if they don't work hard in this one they will be considered as a weak team, so England should not see their weakness which leads to defeat after defeat.

I think you are underestimating South Africa team here. They are also one of the teams that can reach the finals. Also do not forget Afghanistan team. Another big innings by Ibrahim Zadran and you can find them in the finals too. I think we need to see first which two teams qualifies for the semi finals. The placement of 1st and 2nd position in the group become extremely important as who will be playing the semi final in Dubai and which two teams will play semi final in Pakistan.

England also performed poorly, but in their defense we could say that the conditions were quite unfamiliar for them. These excuses are not applicable for Pakistan. Apart from the match against India, all of their matches were played at home. And most of their regular players were available for this series. Now blaming the rain interruption and absence of Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman for the poor performance is laughable. Anyway, some serious rebuilding and revamp is needed within the Pakistan team.

Maybe the Bangladesh team has no more chances like that. There were many old players in the Bangladesh team in this tournament and there were new players. So the older players will have a little more experience but how many Bangladeshi players have you seen that they are playing well. Surely you haven't seen that Bangladeshi players are playing well. Some exciting news is coming in. Cricket Australia is reportedly in talks to sell a stake in the Big Bash League (BBL). They want to raise funds in the vicinity of $1 billion. A few months back, the ECB undertook a similar stake sale for the Hundred, which brought in much higher fund inflow than what it was previously projected. CA seems to be following the footsteps of ECB in this matter. Obviously the IPL franchise owners maybe interested, as BBL is considered by many as the second most popular franchise T20 league.
