I don’t have idea about the time when they will be replaced but Mohsin Naqvi has a deal to the ICC that India is coming here to play in 2025 and Jay Shah also agreed with this but if they would not come then ICC has said if India will refuse then Sri Lanka come in the place of India and none of the other countries has problem to play in Pakistan.
Every country is playing in Pakistan now a days. Mohsin Naqvi is a very stubborn person as we can see from his emphasising his ideas with the ICC for the champion trophy, but let’s see we will get every answer with the time.
Yeah I agree, ICC is surely doing their best for keeping things on track and having all cricket nations on single platform but sadly India-Pakistan tension is surely not under their control even recently we have stick order from the ITF and then Indian tennis team was in Pakistan for Davis Cup, but ICC is completely different story because here Indian influence is huge, and they are also having 80% market cap in cricket as well.
Due to tensions between two countries we are having problems in just few sports as they are coming under serious Indian influence but the games which are having nothing things like these are working properly because recently I read few tennis players were also in Pakistan for their matches because ITF reject Indian request for shifting hopefully ICC will be also do things like these for good development in this game.
I think we all had an idea that if the competition is held in Pakistan there will be some Indian politicians and some Indian people who will have problems with that. mainly the politicians. we all know that even though sport should not be controlled by any politician it is still definitely controlled by the politicians. especially in the subcontinent. And India obviously thinks that as they have the highest share in ICC, they are probably going to get special treatment. I really hope that is not the case.
it is good to see that finally, ICC is taking matters into its own hands and also making sure that the competition is going to be played as it was supposed to. they are the ones who should be controlling what happens. Without India, the weavership might be very low. but it is also not a good idea to let us certain the Cricket board have this much control over the whole sport. just because of one team, others should not suffer.
