Yes that's right. Sometimes the type of pitch varies in different cricket loving countries due to soil conditions, environmental or weather conditions. New Zealand, England pitches are almost similar whereas Australia South Africa and West Indies pitches are similar i.e. they make their cricket ground pitches mainly pace friendly. So that their team's fast bowlers get an extra advantage while bowling. On the other hand, spin friendly pitches are made in most of the cricket-loving countries of the Indian subcontinent, i.e. South Asia, because spin bowlers dominate in these countries.
Moreover, there is a country in South Asia where pace bowlers dominate, that country is Pakistan. One bowler of Pakistan was Shoaib Akhtar who is world famous and even till now his ball speed is highest in the cricket world.
But now the situation is changing, Asian teams who used to rely heavily on spin bowlers and spin bowlers used to win matches are now relying more on fast bowlers. I will take the example of Bangladesh here, I have seen that at one time Bangladesh played with only one fast bowler and other four spin bowlers, Bangladesh now field three to four regular first bowlers. This means that Asian teams are trying to keep pace with African, Australian or European teams because now most of the big tournaments are held outside Asia so if there is more reliance on spin bowlers then spin bowlers cannot play a major role in winning matches.
India now has world class fast bowlers Bangladesh has good quality fast bowlers Pakistan has best fast bowlers like Shahina Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf so now any team can challenge any team.
