Trump was probably one of the few winning candidates in the last few decades who legitimately had, hands down, a majority of the votes and didn't need to formally cheat.  In 2020 he just had to put up enough of a fight to convince his minions (and his haters) that he was serious, and that's a pretty low bar.

I called Trump (Donald John) out as being a one-termer before he was sworn in, and I'll bet there are at least several examples of it back somewhere on this very thread.

In one example of me being genuinely fooled politically is when corp/gov put up for the Left a geriatric pedophile with a history of abusive behavior toward anyone weaker than himself, severe dementia, and a propensity toward shitting himself at inopportune times.  By near election day that had convinced me that they had more than 4 years of work for the odious DJ Trump.

All I can say is 'they got me.'  I actually do appreciate their sense of humor, and have to admit that their read of the sheeple which is better than mine often enough.  But the reason I expatriated from the U.S. back before the 2020 election was so I didn't have to care so much as the impact on me was minimized.
