But there is a different issue when it comes to cannabis, and it is there whether you think we should be able to grow our own cannabis or not, and that is amount of money that is spent on so called " war on drugs" that America is loosing all those years.Hundreds of billions of tax payers dollars were spent, with  not much results.And on top of that, people still go to jail because of cannabis possession.

In 2016 almost 600k people ended up in jail for cannabis possession, so whether you think it is your right to use something that is not legalized or not, you will get  screwed if you live in the  wrong state.Recreational use is legalized in 11 states so far, so unless you live there, you won't end up good  if they caught you possessing.Try defending yourself  outside those 11 states with "it is my right" and see how that ends up.

Whole justice system in United States is paralyzed due this failed war on drugs, and only thing that can help it resolve it is legalization.

But another problem here is that all individual cases are up to the prosecutors mostly, so if for example Baltimore gets different prosecutor that has different view on that, things might get bad again, and go in opposite direction.

But the thing that the people are figuring out is that anyone - a prosecutor, a judge, a governor, a court recorder, a court clerk or the clerk of the courts, members of a jury - can be prosecuted.

If the city prosecutor acts incorrectly in the eyes of a defendant, the defendant can file a non-motion claim right into the court case he is fighting, and turn himself into the prosecutor. How does it work? His claim is the most recent addition, so it has to be answered first.

What would his claim contain? Wording to the effect that the harmed-person-accuser - the one who is accusing him - come forward and prove that it was the defendant who harmed him, so that he can reimburse him for the harm he did to him. After all, basic, standard law is that you have the right to face your accuser. Guess what. Most of the cases have the State or the United States as the accuser. It's right on the indictment. The State/United States are paperwork. They can't take the oath and get on the stand so that they can be cross examined by the accused (who has turned himself from the defendant into the prosecutor by the claim he filed into the proceedings).

People are finding out that if there isn't any claim of harm or damage against them, that there is no reason to admit to breaking some law. And they are finding out that if they are aggressive about it, by filing a claim into the paperwork right from the start, the prosecutor withdraws his indictment. Of course, when the indictment is withdrawn, there is no court record showing a win or loss. When there is no court record because there was no trial, few people realize what really happened, and how the guy won. And the guy is so happy the charges were dropped, that he seldom pursues it to get his money out of the court system.

Cannabis extract without THC or with minimal amounts has became a widely available product. Eg "CBD".

Various state laws have been enacted now that require prosecutors to show an illegal %age of THC. Turns out labs don't have equipment to do that. The prosecutors are not just acting on a whim but based on their costs in getting that equipment or outsourcing and paying for those tests.

Prosecuting DAs are part of a self-propagating system that included the courts, the prosecuting and defending attorneys, and all the hapless victims. This system seeks fat profits.  It's really all about the money not the law.

As for the way the law works, there is a federal law which become a "model statute" for the states. In the past if a state did not wish to adopt it or a harsher version of its own, the Fed would punish by withholding various funds.

Today that is not happening, a state is somewhat free to go against the federal MARIHUANA statutes, although not others.

To my knowledge, Trump has not previously obtained outside investment in any of his previous businesses. I also don't think Trump is going to be running the day-to-day operations of his social media company, he is apparently going to be the "Chairman". My guess is he will be in charge of directing broad strategy and policy.

Trump has an advantage he did not previously have in his previous businesses. He now has a very large, loyal following who are likely to use his platform because of the Trump brand.

I don’t blame Trump for what happened on January 6, what happened, happened very quickly and Trump did tell his supporters to go home. His speech said to be peaceful when marching to the capital.

I certainly don’t blame Trump any more than I blame Biden, Harris and other mainstream Democrats for what happened last summer during the Floyd Riots. The Biden voters were bailed out by Harris and other mainstream Democrats. Trump supporters were condemned and held in solidarity confinement. There were no FBI agents/assets involved in instigating the Floyd riots, while FBI agents/assets were involved in the January 6 riots.
