It now looks to me as though Trump's cover was so deep that most of the media themselves were fooled.  To this day they are only coming to terms with their good fortunes.  This would explain why the fear and loathing for Trump on the part of the mainstream media was so palpable.  It really was real and they really were in a panic!

If Trump sneezed, it was an article on RawStory. Now, some of it was warranted. I get the pussy grab thing, I thought his chances were shot at that point. I'm still grappling intellectually with how old school, Reagan voting Rebuplicans could have helld their noses to click the switch, but I do get it. The alternative was simply unacceptable to some folks, I totally get that.

Now, let me contrast that with the fact that this is the most "unpresidented' presidency so far, at least here.  There is indeed a lot to report on, on both sides, everything has been in rare form. But the obsession with Trump, it isn't like with Obama. Fox would shit on Obama, and constantly, but otherwise policy didn't make the news like it does today under Trump. People didn't give a fuck. Puff Daddy was dancing around in a cheap ass shirt telling us to 'Vote or Die'. It was Mad Max times.

But just like then, they were monetizing the voters. It's a cycle, really. Corporations and special interest groups make huge contributions to particular politicians and candidates, with the understanding that, if you make it, you will work towards making policy changes that benefit the master. This is the literal definition of politics nowadays. Ideology be damned. It cost money to be on TV, and you generally hope that someone doesn't come into the game with enough cash to fund themselves. They are probably corrupt.

The tax cuts, the health care,  the immigration policy, the war mongering (i never want to see a war, but, if yoy are goung to pull the thing out, plan to bang) they serve to increase profits in certain sectors dramatically over the next 4 years. Respectively, corps that have incorporated globally to reduce tax footprint, the insurance industry, the private corporations that run the prisons, and the military contractors that make hardware. Research yourself, examine the campaign contributions from these particular industries, and the interactions between lobbying arms or the corps, and Trumps people. It's very interesting. And when you you are done perusing that, look at how those companies are doing as we speak, vs the rest of the market. Again, quite interesting.

Also, see what you can find on Trump, Trump Towers,  and Russian investment, specifically from mafia figures. Nothing important, this is all in the past, but check it out when you can. It ties back into his claim of surveillance by Obama, and it's all very interesting.

Then look at Trump Towers, and some of the very questionable people that have invested in said properties. Oft, they come from despot govs, or are criminally affiliated in an old money/big way.

Which leads me to my final point, something to ponder. Have you considered the role of the drug cartels, the truly large ones, in the political lobbying process? If corps have learned they can buy their policies into being, what would a business do, with no governmental oversight? That's what I think happened here. We all know what we are mad at him for, but here is a list of things he's done. It is not that bad.
