On a totally different topic, the 'low protein' comment:  My dad claims that he was walking along Skidmore (a street-person zone in Portland, OR) and was walking past a clinic where bums sell blood.  One guy was exiting and the guys' friend was waiting for him.  The would-be donor reported to his friend that he was rejected due to protein levels.  The friend called the guy a 'low protein son-of-a-bitch', punched him to the ground, then walked away.

Another idea for the Trump thinkers:  Jubilee!

Of course as usual I don't expect that my ideas are especially novel or have not been considered (and often rejected.)  Just that in some cases they are orthogonal and not considered by most people.

A 'Jubilee' for those who do not know is the extinguishment of debt.  At least that's the definition I use in this post.

The forces aligned against Trump (and most of us) draw their power from ownership and control of the current monetary system.  It is a debt-based system.  Without digging out the root of this power it will continue to cause problems that sprout back up, and it may not even be addressed in the first place.  Ultimately my suggestion is associated with tactical warfare as opposed to moral/ethical fallout, though I propose that by adopting it more benefits for more of the right people would be the fall out.

I propose just canceling all debt.  Student, home, auto, etc.  The quickest and easiest way to do this is to simply abandon the current monetary system entirely and start a new one.  No, I am not particularly proposing a 'sound money' one (PM's, crypto, etc) though I don't necessarily reject that possibility.  Especially as a tie-over.

I personally carry ('sell') no debt in the current fiat monetary system so I am not, strictly speaking, a winner in a jubilee.  Conversely, I don't 'own' debt in this system so I would not be a loser either.  If I would have been an owner of debt and the system which enforces my ownership collapses, my bad.  I consider most of the people in this category to be rent-seekers.  If they mis-calculated and didn't include all the risks in their actuarial calculations, oh well.

After a jubilee (after so many years in our particular case (here in the U.S.)) there will be a lack of confidence which will make it harder to sell debt under the next system (if it is debt-based.)  That is, in my opinion, just fine.  The false sense of confidence has resulted in our carrying to much debt already.
