Well, i can only vouch both coins as the best so far. Ethereum has a great future for cryptocurrency but one thing needs to be clear. Most of the alt coins are measured against Ethereum if not Bitcoin but Ethereum in itself is measured against Bitcoin. Crypto market cannot do without Bitcoin because it holds greater percentage of the market cap.

I don't think that ethereum would be able to surpass Bitcoin in next few years as Bitcoin is one of the most popular cryptocurrency available out there. It has the largest market capital and many people out there only know about one cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin.

If it captures 1% of that $2T, it is equivalent to $20B, which would put ETH somewhere around $150. Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come. If it captures 10% of that ETH will be $1500. I know it sounds crazy, but so did the Internet in 1995.

Once it's launched their main focus will be on scalability, which I think is the real reason crypto is not ready for mainstream. Once they can handle 100K TPS (and I'm sure they will), it's game over.

LOL.. Just noticed that this thread was posted in 2015, when the ETH prices were around $2 per coin. Those who held on to the coin will be sitting on top of 300x returns now. But personally I have a feeling that the peak may be over for ETH. Now it is the turn of some of the newer coins, such as ADA, NEO, NEM and EOS.

How can we really trust this? I bet this is one of the supporters of ETH. And I am not sure either as many people said that ETH will became a future crypto since the bitcoins stands strong and people will surely not givin up to that coin. For me there is no ETHERIUM when bitcoin did'nt exist. So, I  dont agree if you say ETH is the future, for me, BTC is the real future. Although bitcoin down in the market, it will recover very very soon. Bitcoin is the KING of all cryptocurrency. It is the future.

I believe that unless Cryptocurrencies have become an absolute mainstream currency Bitcoin will not be replaced by anything else.
