I think that Ethereum will be very difficult to force out bitcoin from the leader's position. However, I agree that Ethereum has great prospects!

Bitcoin pioneered this industry, and I think it will always be the king of the industry. Whether it is popularity or strength, I believe no cryptocurrency can surpass it. In the future it will have better development.

ETH will allow $2T of underground economy to become more structured (and possibly less underground) through DAOs.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/04/23/americas-2-trillion-shadow-economy-is-the-recessions-big-winner/

If it captures 1% of that $2T, it is equivalent to $20B, which would put ETH somewhere around $150. Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come. If it captures 10% of that ETH will be $1500. I know it sounds crazy, but so did the Internet in 1995.

Once it's launched their main focus will be on scalability, which I think is the real reason crypto is not ready for mainstream. Once they can handle 100K TPS (and I'm sure they will), it's game over.

Compared to bitcoins, I too think that Etherium has a brighter future compared to bitcoins since most alt coins released in the market today are all based on etherium. Eth has been an important building blocks for cryptocurrency and this will probably continue onwards until bitcoin is dethroned.

i strongly disagree with the above point as the bitcoin happens to be the father of all coins and has proven itself over time that it is in control of the technology and thus cannot be over thrown. that ethereum has come and taken some great changes in the technology by creating a smart contract opportunity does not in any way keep it ahead of the bitcoin.

I partly agree with your idea. But on my own opinion, they both are the future of crypto currency world. They both never fails to prove themselves that anyone can rely on them and they can rise a great value for long period of time. With there well-organized and well-established management, there is no doubt that they can do what we dreamt for them. We dont need to fight whose better, but we must be optimistic and think carefully that we both need them, not just them but for all the cryptos. Support any coin and for sure you'll receive something good soon and we will have a better future.

I don't think that Ethereum is a future crypto currency, Now still bitcoin is a first and most popular crypto currency than others, Also we accept it now a lot of people don't know about bitcoin but in that all situation bitcoin is still better than Ethereum.

When you’re comparing the cryptocurrencies on the basis of application, you would realize that Ethereum has a much stronger application. But you forget -bitcoin is the pioneer in the cryptocurrency market.

you have predicted it very nice . ETH has reached 1000+ at the beginning of this year but I think BTC and ETH both have a good future so we can't choose one

Who say ethereum is the only good one and not bitcoin?? In my opinion both of them has the best characteristics in the crypto market, we do not know who will get over and not, I think both of them is good and has a high chance to grow more this year.

Yes, that's true. Ethereum is the future of crypto because there's nothing you can do without the help of ethereum. Eth is using as a gas to buy Altcoins and also to sell out. I can wait to see eth on the high table.

Do you mean that the price alone determines whether a thing would be future? I don't think so. There have been so many fuss about this ethereum thing, though I wouldn't deny the fact that it is interesting, but most of the news about it seems to be overrated and exaggerated.
for all the coins I think can enough to be the future for Cryptocurrency. which I see for the development of Altcoin is currently greatly improved. so it is great to hold and support to develop coins for the future. Ethereum and Bitcoin are coin unions that support each other's market conditions.

Ethereum is the mother of platforms using blockchain and smart contracts. Ethereum is very undervalued coin right now, it is also easy to use and many features can be used in the world of cryptocurrency. So i think it has a bright  future.

I do not think Ethereum has no reason to be a future bitcoin. I am waiting for your investments for evaluation of the Ethereum, I keep all my money as Etherereum.

I strongly disagree. Bitcoin is the leader of the crypto market. if you look at the graph you can see the periodic increases. Bitcoin will recover. Bitcoin should be bought again in large investments.

It may be. when Ethereum appeared, everyone said that it would surpass bitcoin until it happened.

I am sure that Ethereum will be used always but Bitcoin can really lose its value and popularity. Buterin and his team are constantly working on the improvement of their platform and the safety of the cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is pole and mile ahead of Ethereum. If the promoters embark on aggressive ad so will Bitcoin which is good market that sells itself will also do outrageous adverts.

Ethereum has a major influence on the market, may affect the bitcoin market. ethereum has an influence on the crypto market along with bitcoin, which grows up in the crypto market. public confidence in ethereum is also great, allowing also for the future ethereum to beat bitcoin.

I also think it would be very difficult for Ethereum to be better than Bitcoin, so far it has grown a lot but it is still left. The long way to go, Bitcoin is currently good and without a doubt is the future of the current currency.

Just make sure if you invest into anything ETH related that the foundation guys are also in on it. If there is an issue they will just push the fork and you will not lose anything. Pretty safe coins knowing if anyone messes up you get a do-over!

Both coins has completely different features and implementation. Each to it's own field where hard to make comparison on non-similar cryptocurrency.

Too many rich people holding BTC.They will make sure BTC is the dominant cryptocurrency for the coming years.
ETH will have its own place in the crypto space.
