Trying to get my first MN. I just spent over $300 to acquire this masternode. Hope I am on the right track? Where do you guys see this project heading in the nearest future?

Hi and welcome Smiley That's a good things. For the reward for now as he say it's around 0.35 - 2 coins. Yes you are on the train right now, the price have increase around X4 these 2 last week. We hope to rise to 1 $ which is the first goal. Long term Holders are always the Winner, and this year is a good year for alternative coin like arctic  Smiley

Don't listen FUDers, maybe they want to buy at a low price, but for now arctic need to go up and not to be FUD. But all i can see is :

1) That theses guys seems to no believe in the project, and spread negative things here on the thread since 3 month ago, so why did they waste their time here ? If it is a shitcoin, they can leave it. Time is money, save your time, save your money (The period when you have buy arcticcoin around 0.05 $ is finish)

-Instead of what they said that it going to collapse bla bla bla... the price have rise Up more than X5 this last 1 month. There are fact and they are words. For new comers here, chart will speak for you, and facts are stronger than poeple which waste their time to say unless things here.

Be patient, and be confident. Arctic team is working as if they did have not respect their deadline. But deadline is just deadline as i already said since 1 week ago. And in other hand, don't listen too much poeple that saying that it's not a lot blablabla... the masternode is cheap, as if the rewards is not unbelievable wecan rise to 1$ and 2 $ hopefully. Because we are just on cryptopia, imagine that we go on bittrex ? 1 $ will be a piece of cake.

Be confident and patient, HOLD your position everybody, and when 1 $ or 2 $ is reach, just sell 1/5 of what you have to reward yourself and make the price stable, let time to new investissors come on the train and make the price growing up  Smiley

Peace and smile Smiley

I can't see anyone here spreading FUD. I know that in this day and age, if ppl don't like the facts, they call it fake news!

Everyone should make up their own mind about where to invest. You can be a shill for the coin, I can state facts. It all balances out and gives readers here information they can believe or ignore.

Just a few questions to keep the debate going:

1. Where are the links to the Russian communities/forums where the dev team are active (as they are not active in their own English Discord)? I've asked for them many times; twice here in the last week or so.
2. What are the reasons for not delivering anything in 8 months and missing all roadmap deadlines?
3. What do you put the price increase down to? What activities from the devs has contributed to this good news?
4. What level of dev coin ownership is acceptable to you? These devs have 30%+ mainly from not burning swapped coins.

All the above are facts. Believe them or not; the choice is yours.

C.

very valid facts, any idea if anyone has set up any master nodes?

No - a masternode has to have exactly 1000 coins in a single transaction. You can have more than 1 masternode though.

How much coins do you get as a reward for running a masternode? I set it up few month ago and got just ~18 coins. And there are no rewards for a week for now. Is it ok?

Code:
goldminenode list | grep hash
gives
Code:
"hash": "ENABLED",

It's worth checking here: https://arcticcoin.org/en-EN/goldmine-list

Of course you could provide the txid, address or IP address for others to check as none of that should be considered private or secret (just don't share private keys and passwords).

So, every day we have ppl come to the official and unofficial discord servers and ask what has happened to the masternode rewards and what are the latest updates.

I will post the answers here to try and help ppl.

1. You will receive between 0.3 and 1.5 coins every 2 to 3 days. The 1st payment can take up to 5 days.
2. Your masternode must be ENABLED 24/7. Any more than 1 hour of not being ENABLED will put you to the back of the reward queue.
3. There are no updates from the developers. They are members of the discord servers but they just post technical analysis graphs. All questions are ignored.
4. The devs are supposedly active but not in any English speaking forum. Requests for links to the Russian speaking forums where they are reportedly active have been ignored (asked for on this thread too).
5. The devs have not delivered ANYTHING since August 2017 when they published a small update to the mac wallet.
6. The roadmap (can be found on official github https://github.com/ArcticCore/ )is widely inaccurate; nothing has been delivered other than point 5, above.
7. The discord community has no evidence that the devs are actually working on anything or, in fact, exist. Please try and contact them yourselves and share your findings
8. The devs own 30% of all coins.
9. The "No premine" heading to this thread is misleading. When the algo of the coin was changed, the coin was forked and a swap took place. For the swap, obviously coins had to be created to enable the swap. 20 million coins were created based on the circulating supply. No coins were burnt after the swap. If you know any coin that got close to 100% swap success, please share here! Millions of pre-mined coins were left over and not burnt.
10. Don't believe what anyone tells you, including me. Check out the facts for yourself.

I hope this stops the duplication of questions on discord  Grin

Thanks, that worked.

Status on that page was "new start required". Still can't understand two things, will be grateful if someone could clarify.

Why it was showing ENABLED status for me? Also goldminenode list shows it with integer postfix, I mean 7e38bbaf5c44d8ba727f8c2c5b138886d2144e3c90f682a1b7b67a4a1b92d98c-1, but on the list page it's just 7e38bbaf5c44d8ba727f8c2c5b138886d2144e3c90f682a1b7b67a4a1b92d98c. What does this number stands for?

Also goldminenode start doesn't for me as a restart, but goldminenode start-all does.

Maybe read this thread? See here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1139923.msg27576186#msg27576186

You need to change the calculation to use the current difficulty which is 8687.

Difficulty has been as high as 17000 in the last 7 days.

You need to decide for yourself whether you think this is a good investment.

Just started looking into this , looks like a great coin.

1) When I send ARC Coins from cryptopia to my wallet, I lose approximately 0.01 coin - so, instead of 1000, I am left with 999.99 coins. Will my masternode run with this balance? If not, what do I do to fill the discrepancy?
2) Can I configure multiple masternodes from a single wallet?

Thanks

You need to have EXACTLY 1000 coins in an empty address that is sent as 1 transaction. So, no, it won't work.

You can set-up more than 1 masternode to send to the same wallet, but the masternode must have it's own copy of the blockchain.

You need to join the official discord if you need help https://discord.gg/EJEK2Df

The best single masternode set-up tutorial is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H9eEwgTuoA

As for this being a great coin, well - not sure where you've been investigating!

You need EXACTLY 1000 in a fresh/empty address.

So, you need to buy 1 more coin, send to the same address as your first transfer. Then create a new address in your wallet (debug console getnewaddress mn01. Send the coins from your wallet to that new address sendtoaddress "new_address" 1000

I've been active in the ArcticCoin Discord community since June and have not heard of anyone having this issue. I fear your password is not what you think it is. I suggest you type the password into notepad and paste it from there so you can ensure that the keyboard international settings are not to blame.
